Can we swear now? Is it ok to swear without being censored or suspended?
poop.
SWEET!!! -
I got a lifetime sub to CO when it first came out but I rarely play. I greatly prefer the slower, tactical gameplay of CoH over the spazzy click-fest of CO.
That being said, there is one feature of CO that I do like: Character names are tied to your global account, which means that multiple people can have the same character name.
I propose all of us going to CO create characters named "City of Heroes" as well as a City of Heroes supergroup.
If that wasn't clear: A City of Heroes supergroup filled with nothing but characters named City of Heroes. -
While playing CoH, everything above the waist is totally committed to the game. Below the waist....I am the LORD OF THE DANCE!
I'll be fine. -
Started with a character named Urine Trouble but I decided there was a good chance he would get genericced so I rerolled him as Sewage.
Poop-based powers with a nice splash of pee when they hit. I used pieces from the Omega costume set to make it look like he's wearing armor made of turds, the Flies aura (self-explanatory) & a brown waterfall backpack for a constant stream of sludge out of his backside.
Juvenile? Absolutely. Clever? I don't know but he makes me smile when I play him. -
I ended up watching the entire thing rather than just skipping to 5:24. Very nice, thank you.
Was a little disappointed that CoH wasn't mentioned by name, but given the nature of the speech that was completely understandable. -

Just a couple of questions (& assumptions):
1) Does the Team Transport share a cooldown with the Mission Transporter power (I assume not)?
2) It's called a "Team Transport" but I assume it can be used solo & not only when you're on a team?
Stupid questions, perhaps, but I need clarification before I plunk down the money because I really want that Team Transport but only if the answers are NO and YES respectively. -
Quote:A slight change in the review is all it would have taken:The MMORPG public knows what a guild is. They don't know what a super group is.
"...such as not being able to play user-created content in the Mission Architect mode or join supergroups (CoH's guild equivalent)."
Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine when people call supergroups guilds (even though they're practically the same damn thing).
I'm working through it though. My therapist says I'm getting better but I'm not well enough to let PCG slide from calling SGs guilds twice in that article. -
That's a pretty cool costume/pic. Very menacing.

I don't have anything to add to the conversation except to say that playing my Spines/Willpower Scrapper to 50 was great fun (but you're talking about a Stalker, so that doesn't really help you).
Basically I just wanted to chime in with: GRATS ON 50!!! -

MMs are my favorite AT as well and I'd have to say my Thugs/Dark (who is also my namesake) was definitely the most fun to play.
Two words: Gang War.
I was actually teamed with a buddy when I first got GW & we decided to try it out for the first time on some even-leveled baddies. We peed ourselves stupid at the ridiculousness (& awesomeness) of it. Good stuff!
My Bots/Storm would have to be my #2.
PS- Being able to name each of your pets individually just opens up a whole new world of concepts & fun. For instance, Spawn of Santa has his "little helpers" that are all named after elves from various works & my Bots/Storm, ColecoVision, has pets named after Coleco catridges. I've seen some very clever MMs out there that use the pet naming feature to great effect. -

They need to finish up that construction in Port Oakes & then have an echo of Port Oakes so we can go back in time & watch them doing that construction in Port Oakes....

Quote:"Old timer" works for me. I'm the game's longest-playing noob so "experienced" doesn't really apply to me.Just out of interest...how many other old timers are still kicking around?
I had heard about the game around my join date. I had never played an MMO before & couldn't imagine paying 50 bucks for a game & then a monthly fee on top of that when there were so many awesome PC games out there that only required a one-time purchase.
But then I got into the beta.
Sure, why not? I mean, at least I'd get to try the game out a little to see what all this MMO nonsense was about. Then when the beta was over, I'd uninstall the client & move on with my life without having spent a dime.
7+ years later, I'm still here.
Folks who preordered the game got a 2 (or was it 3?) day head start over those who didn't & I remember those 2 days between the beta shutting down & the game going live as 2 of the most painful days of my life. I've never done [illegal] drugs of any kind but I can only imagine that's what a heroin addict goes through when forced to quit cold-turkey. -
Here are a couple of pics that show off the glow a bit better along with the Celestial aura & wings:

Hilariously sad. -

32 to 37 on my Dual Blades/Willpower Brute
Soloed the first two levels & teamed (which is extremely rare for me since I solo 99.3% of the time) for the last three.
That's all she wrote. -

SWEET!
Nicely done.
So when does the JRPG based on this event come out? With the world being saved by a couple of teenagers, you know it's inevitable. -
I think I remember them.

For me, it's a toss-up between Seer Panties & Terrordactyl.
