That's right; we're pleased to announce that as of this week we are beginning the process of reactivating all inactive City of Heroes/City of Villains accounts as Premium accounts for City of Heroes Freedom! Reintroduce yourself to the world's best Superheroic MMORPG experience and renew your friendships for free!

Starting this weekend, we are gradually reactivating all inactive game accounts. Over the next several days, more and more former City of Heroes players will find their previously lapsed accounts have been re-enabled as Premium level accounts! We've saved your characters, so you can pick up where you left off, and returning Veterans can check out the all new Paragon Rewards™ Program for exclusive perks just for having been a previous COH/COV subscriber! Just curious- if my friend had a trial account, does that count as a "game account" that will be reactivated as Premium?

I'm just curious why the slow roll out. Is that required or just a safety precaution?

many many moons ago i lost my password to my original game account (or i think i may have created it by accident when i purchased a CoV box set instead of adding it onto my original account. dunno if the exact reason matters) and created a second account i got the issue resolved after talking to whoever it was i had to talk to and its still listed in my account but its listed as 'banned' for whatever reason. i think i had them take the three months i payed and refund it or something, i dont recall exactly its been quite a few years.

anyways blah blah blah can i do anything/talk to anyone in specific to get this account switched from banned to something that could possibly be used as a premium account at some point in time or is it forever just stuck in my list of game accounts. i had a couple of characters on it but i dont know what their names where its been so long and im leaning moreso that the issue was i put the code for my CoV game on it and had to get it banned so that i could play CoV as well. any info would be appreciated.

banned was the solution to whatever the issue was at the time as far as i can recall.

Ok, dumb question time...

I have an account from the original beta (3rd wave) sitting in my master account that is inactive. At the time I was rather confused and thought I wouldn't be able to activate it for the main game, so I went and created a new one. It's been setting there inactive ever since.

Is that going to be activated? Because it doesn't need to be. It's pretty much useless. All my stuff is in this one.

Would it be deleted? That might be problematic for other reasons.

I am trying to access my original COH account, but while I can remember the password, I can't remember the @#$&! security questions. I know Support is going to ask me things like the original serial number I used to create the account, and that is loooong gone, so I guess I should consider that account Lost Forever.

Yay! Can't wait for my second lapsed account to become active, then maybe me and my husband or my daughter can team with me.

Is there currently something wrong with the reactivation of a sub to VIP again?

I reactivated 1 account earlier, it expired this morning, but when i login all my characters are locked and i get the f2p message. But if i either go NCsoft account or ingame store account, both say 'VIP status'.



Ok, it just got more weird, all my characters on Union and Freedom are locked, but Defiant are all unlocked. Lemme gues, support tickets wont be done untill monday?

My account status is Free even though I was a sub for a year. Also, I cannot log in, says invalid username or password. I submitted a ticket, but I doubt the issue will get resolved by Monday.
