Discussion: PC Gamer reviews City of Heroes Freedom
The article itself is pretty fair.
Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters
As long as it's better than Game Informer, who kept putting up pictures of CoH while reviewing DCUO.

Congratulations on the good press. Here's hoping it leads to more VIPers.
My wife found this a few days ago.
I was impressed they actually...you know...played the game.
I remember that Game Informer GR review that was plagued with misinformation (I remember they kept claiming Cryptic was working on it still and they had been released 4 years ago).

Free players do have some major restrictions, such as not being able to play user-created content in the Mission Architect mode or join guilds. |

Oh and I think Paragon should thank their lucky stars that this got written before the Super Pack fiasco.
Saw this yesterday as well. Puzzled why it wasn't promoted.
Could do without the "evil testicle" caption on the picture. I blame the hip sarcastic spin that today's youth expect in their reviews.

I'm still trying to get a gaming community (263 on Facebook & over 15,000 on their website) people to give City of Heroes a try. However, its more likely 5 to 10 people would give it a chance.
Anyways, the review seems fair.

I was a PC Gamer subscriber a long time ago and I enjoyed their publication. I wish I had kept the issue that talked about City of Heroes.
This is a fair review, even with a few errors and talk about -guilds-.
This is more attention than I've seen Beckett give us.
Wow an 86! Junior this is going on the frig.
I used to read my buddy's copy - the same guy who got me into COH 5 years ago - all the time. I loved their reviews as well as numerous articles on both hardware and software.
And I'm really impressed. An 86 (out of 100)? Way to go!

The MMORPG public knows what a guild is. They don't know what a super group is.

"...such as not being able to play user-created content in the Mission Architect mode or join supergroups (CoH's guild equivalent)."
Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine when people call supergroups guilds (even though they're practically the same damn thing).
I'm working through it though. My therapist says I'm getting better but I'm not well enough to let PCG slide from calling SGs guilds twice in that article.
