Or you could pay your friend to play your toons for you during the weekend and go out and do real life things.*

*((also not real advice))

i started working out again a couple of months ago (5 i think), so i made a "deal" with myself, anytime i am going to play for more than an hour i MUST run through at least one p90x dvd FIRST, then i get to play. and if i am on more then 3 hours i have to do a second dvd that day.

thanks to paragons insistence on putting out tons of new stuff for me to play with this deal has worked out quite well, over 50lbs down, 15 from my target weight. if the game had not added so much cool stuff over the last year or so i would probably just said "nah, don't feel like working out so i wont play" but apparently Paragon wants me to be healthy and fit and playing... good job guys!

so i suggest making deals with yourself (in a very non-psychotic talking to yourself kinda way) and making exercise part of your game routine. of course ymmv, but it has done wonders for me.

Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

This is an important topic, and I am glad it was brought up and talked about in such a knowledgeable and sensible fashion.

However....If for any reason you do not follow this good advice and for any reasons feel debilitating chest pains, dizziness, an impending sense of doom, or your intestines start to slide down the back of your chair.....Please have you last action be to e-mail me your best stuff. Choose careful, my in-box can only hold 20 msgs. Thanks.

As a paramedic, I feel I would be remiss if I didn't speak up here a bit. While I'm certainly guilty of way-to-long playing sessions, it can be extremely dangerous sitting in front of your computer that long.

I was called to a home a few months ago for a patient who had been playing an online game (one of the Korean or Japanese ones I don't know anything about). The call kicked out as chest pain/difficulty breathing. According to his parents he had been in his room for several days only coming out for meals. He was overweight, but not obese as is often the case with 30 somethings that lock themselves in their rooms for weeks at a time playing games. I asked him what was going on, his breathing was shallow and he was wincing a lot, saying it hurt to breathe and he was dizzy and sweating profusely. His feet and ankles were extremely swollen and painful to the touch.

Long story short, He had been sitting for three days, eating crap food and not sleeping more than an hour or two before getting back on the computer. Due to the lack of movement and long periods of sitting he developed edema in his feet and legs (retaining of fluids) and subsequently formed a blood clot in his calf which traveled to his lung and got stuck. Last I had heard he went home, fairly intact.

HE GOT LUCKY.

It's just a game folks, please take care of yourselves first. XP will always be there. I know it's tough, really I do. I've played COH long enough and seen enough 2XP weekends to know firsthand.

Eat decent food, hydrate ( no mountain dew is not a good choice for hydration :P)
Get up and move regularly
SLEEP! The damage you can do to yourself by skipping sleep in scary, seriously I know. In my line of work I'm constantly sleep deprived, it @#@$$ you up!

I love this community, would hate to see any one of hurt due to not knowing when to say ENOUGH.

Play safe, see you out there!
Yeah, I saw a similar scenario on 1,000 Ways to Die. And seriously, that's why I like CoX. What raids we have are short and don't take days or longer. How could devs expect people to play for non-stop days? Devs of other games should really look at CoX and what it does RIGHT!

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

Most raids in newer non-Asian MMOs are following the 'under an hour' development mindset these days.

Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."
