  1. Awesome Riora, ty! That's right on the money methinks!
  2. Working on this build, I know i'm not quite there yet, any advice would be great!
I'd like to fit teleport in somewhere, since it's my favorite form of travel, though i can't find what power would not be sorely missed if I swapped it.

thanks to paragons insistence on putting out tons of new stuff for me to play with this deal has worked out quite well, over 50lbs down, 15 from my target weight. if the game had not added so much cool stuff over the last year or so i would probably just said "nah, don't feel like working out so i wont play" but apparently Paragon wants me to be healthy and fit and playing... good job guys!

so i suggest making deals with yourself (in a very non-psychotic talking to yourself kinda way) and making exercise part of your game routine. of course ymmv, but it has done wonders for me.

Awesome Traegus! P90x Is no joke, quite the *** kicker!

We're not supposed to talk about it
  5. Of course, a little job security never hurt anyone :P

Thanks for the suggestion, Lady G, i'll look it up
  6. (re-posted here from a reply I made on the Virtue boards)

As a paramedic, I feel I would be remiss if I didn't speak up here a bit. While I'm certainly guilty of way-to-long playing sessions, it can be extremely dangerous sitting in front of your computer that long.

I was called to a home a few months ago for a patient who had been playing an online game (one of the Korean or Japanese ones I don't know anything about). The call kicked out as chest pain/difficulty breathing. According to his parents he had been in his room for several days only coming out for meals. He was overweight, but not obese as is often the case with 30 somethings that lock themselves in their rooms for weeks at a time playing games. I asked him what was going on, his breathing was shallow and he was wincing a lot, saying it hurt to breathe and he was dizzy and sweating profusely. His feet and ankles were extremely swollen and painful to the touch.

Long story short, He had been sitting for three days, eating crap food and not sleeping more than an hour or two before getting back on the computer. Due to the lack of movement and long periods of sitting he developed edema in his feet and legs (retaining of fluids) and subsequently formed a blood clot in his calf which traveled to his lung and got stuck. Last I had heard he went home, fairly intact.

    HE GOT LUCKY.

It's just a game folks, please take care of yourselves first. XP will always be there. I know it's tough, really I do. I've played COH long enough and seen enough 2XP weekends to know firsthand.

Eat decent food, hydrate ( no mountain dew is not a good choice for hydration :P)
    Get up and move regularly
SLEEP! The damage you can do to yourself by skipping sleep in scary, seriously I know. In my line of work I'm constantly sleep deprived, it @#@$$ you up!

I love this community, would hate to see any one of hurt due to not knowing when to say ENOUGH.

Play safe, see you out there!

  8. Been kicking this around for awhile. Instead of a sewer run, I'd like to get a full league of lowbies to street sweep and level and have a blast. We'd start at level 2 since i want to do the tutorial first (though higher level toons would be welcome to participate).

I figure'd we'd start in Atlas and work our way around to Perez Park. Hopefully we'll find a Kraken or two to punch while we make our way to skyway. If the Trolls want to hold one of thier raves while we're there, even better.

Then we'll hit Talos and work our way to the spot where Adamastor likes to show his face (i'm Pretty sure he'll show :P)

That is, if we level as well as i expect we will. I figure a full league will just decimate everything and the xp will roll in like the tide. Having said that, after level 10 we'll certainly start needing some enhancements, which could slow us down a bit. So i'd look for suggestions on this one. Maybe a break in each zone to shop, then rendevous and start again?

    Possible problems I forsee

Lag for some. Not much we can do about it other than suggest people lower thier settings

Will the xp not roll in as well as i expect? Do outdoor mobs still expand thier numbers with larger teams in the area?

Deaths and falling behind in hazardous areas. Hopefully we'll have at least one person per team w/ recall friend.

High level griefers coming in and wiping everything before we can. I think once we had enough interest I'd set up an in-game channel and invite the participants to it to hash out details and pick the date/time to start

Anything else you can think of?
    .
If I can get enough people interested, and we can iron out the details I think this would be a blast.
  9. Anyone sitting on holiday sprit temp powers? I need the boots and gloves for my new corr, willing to pay, i dunno, 10 mil? for each attempt until i get the costume pieces.

Hit me up @jawbreaker if you'd like to earn a couple inf.
  10. Thanks for these, B.R.A. they rock!

True. Though If all my slots are red at level 45, that's 5 minutes or so to buy and reslot everything. If i'm not actually playing during my gametime, i'd rather it be due to a bio break or because i'm grabbin food, not dealing with the enhancement reload. But that's just me.

true, I certainly wouldn't complain about that
  13. And you're running with a great team, but you suddenly realize that nearly all (if not all) of your S.O.'s are RED!

What do you do? make the team wait so you can go through the tedious process of running to a vendor to buy and then slot all those S.O.'s? Just carry on like you're all good and enter the next mish, contributing...nothing? next to nothing?

How about a button in the enhancement screen, labeled, I dunno. UPGRADE? That when you click it, you get a pop up message that reads "WARNING: You are about to upgrade all of your S.O. enhancements to +2 your level. If you click OK, you will be charged 2938423 Inf. for the cost of the enhancements."

The cost being what you would have to pay had you bought the S.O.'s from a vendor.

I personally would love this, but maybe I'm alone, or missing something big.

It should only work for S.O.'s in my opinion, as D.O.'s are outleveled so quickly these days, and I.O.'s are just too big a part of the player economy.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?
  14. I am DYING for them to make all of poison's animations be able to use the spit version. ( as well as fire) for my fire/poison corr, Foulmouth :P
  15. Well, I always team with her, and she's a lot of fun so i'll keep her. maybe someday they'll fix the powers
  16. So what is the issue with /poison exactly? debuffs not up to par w/ other corr secondaries? I have been enjoying the set, at least thematically. It seems to debuff enemies just fine, my survivability rate is increasing from lower levels. I know if it were on a defender it's be better, and I'm tired of trollers (i have way too many)
  17. 49 views and no replies? has no one gotten a /poison corr leveled up yet? :P
  18. Unlockable costume pieces for every tf ala katie hannon. Synapse's speed aura, moonfire's sash etc.
  19. Is there a CC this week? If so, what's the theme?
  20. Jawbreaker

    Double Aura

I noticed in the first SSA arc, last mish villainside, when you gain synapse's aura it runs w/the aura you may already have. at least it did for me. So it may not be all that difficult to get done
