Weekly Costume Contests from The American Legion

Hello Virtue,

I am pleased to announce that beginning Tuesday July 13 The American Legion Super Groups will be sponsoring weekly costume contests in Atlas Park. The contest will be held weekly; every Thursday beginning at 10 pm Eastern Time. The grand prize amount will be a minimum of 100 million influence.

The contest will be a traditional 'best' costume contest with no specific parameters. There will be a grand prize winner with the possibility of honorable mentions.

There will also be randomly announced themed contests each month with larger prize amounts...be sure to watch out for details on those on this forum!

I hope that all of you who enjoy making costumes will come out and participate in the contests and show off your tailoring skills. Hopefully this will help supply the demand for contests on this server.

So without further adieu here is the first of our themed contest categories. We are going to start off with a fairly easy theme.

Tuesday July 13 at 10 pm EST: Best use of red in a costume. Bring your best red outfit; the costume does not have to be completely red but red should be the prominent focus. 100 million goes to the grand prize winner.

And remember Thursday July 15 at 10 pm EST we will have another 100 million costume contest. Just bring your favorite or best costumed look!

I'll mark this on my calendar. 10pm EST is about 8pm Colorado time (I think it's Mountain Time, but I never cared to check). I've been looking for a new color scheme for one of my characters. Maybe red will work.

Whoooo!!! Congrats to the winners and thanks for the $25mil. Triceratops Man has always been popular, AND the red looks far better than the green.

Next themed costume contest is next Tuesday July 27. Our theme for that day will be Best Catperson. Whether you are a catboy, catgirl, or catsomething else come out to Atlas for a chance to win the grand prize of 100 million!

Had an awesome time, so many great costumes. I was shocked that I actually won this one (not that I'm complaining). I'll probably sit the next Tuesday one out since I don't have any catpeople, but I'm curious at how my main will do in the free for all one.
