Can we please stop getting mohawks? We have far too many as is. And with both this set and the Cyberpunk set we're getting more and more variations of the mohawk. It's going to get to the point where male hairstyles will be one quarter normal styles, one quarter crazy, weird styles that are rarely used, and the remaining half with be all mohawks.
THIS ^^^

I don't even know how long it's been since we've gotten some normal hair styles. It seems like since Going Rogue, all we've gotten is mohawks and whatever random weird style came with a costume pack.

So nothing for Staff Melee then huh?

[s]Not to derail this thread but could you give some examples?[/s]

To avoid derailing this thread could you give some examples in the "All things Art" Thread?

I think we should get a Hockey Stick for Staff, for thematic purposes.

please let this be the one and only time , or at least give us the option yo buy it all in one pack for the points most costume sets go for
The intent is for you to be able to buy all of the parts in a single pack, much like a "Costume Set". It's just less of a focus on the "single one costume" and more of a focus on "what kind of things would fit the theme". I wouldn't disassociate this from a Costume Bundle, it's just a different approach.

This most likely will not be the one and only time.

There's already been two entire threads on the Golden Age issue, one of them started by NS before he got shuffled to the "project". (Links incoming?)

This. What part of a chainsaw-wielding maniac or hockey-stick-swinging pothead screams superhero?

Actually, I'd really like an entire sports-themed costume set at some point. (Particularly for the implications of a sports jersey in my case, but I digress.)

A hockey stick alone doesn't particularly say "post-apocalyptic" to me. Maybe a broken hockey stick that's been tied back together and has blades or spikes attached to it.

Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges

...That ENTIRE SENTENCE screams "superhero". Especially if you count the 90s. While most people avoid it, it did happen, and we got some neat stuff.

Open Archetype Suggestion thread!, Kirsten's Epic Weapon Pools, Feudal Japan, Etc., Alignment specific Rularuu iTrials!
If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.

Please keep discussion here about the Post Apocalyptic Costume Parts Pack work. If you'd like to discuss other aspects of the selection process, you're more than welcome to do so in another thread.

Thanks.

That was actually more of a poke at the whole Casey Jones thing, but I do agree a battered hockey stick sounds nice.

I think some form of Staff weapon model needs to be in this pack, that set is seriously lacking weapon model love.

Also, can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a "clean" version of the hockey mask, and the possibility to lay the existing face patterns on it?

Both requests are valid, this is just the way we decided to go out of the Pummit.

I do understand that many people want certain themes to make their way into the game, Golden/Silver Age being one of them, and over time, there's always the chance it will happen. In this particular case, the development team grokked this theme and had some great inspiration presented to them by the players.
I have to agree with X-zero on this one.
It's understandable, though, that this was presented to you, so you picked it. If it was like, a contest (I don't know how the Pummit works - never been), then yeah, pick the best one, or the one you can feel the most inspiration from at the time.

But, if you're saying there isn't inspiration in the classic golden age or silver age comic books, then something is wrong. I'm not exactly fond of having to strain myself to think of a new character that isn't a lightsaber-using, space pirate with chinese/japanese influence.

It'd just be nice to have something similar from Marvel or DC. I'd like to feel like a golden age or silver age hero. Someone like Quasar, Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman (even though I don't have any female characters, hahaha).

I just don't want to have to stick with the older pieces when all these new pieces are out that don't fit conceptually. Makes me feel a little bit bitter.

But yeah, post apocalyptic looks good. I'd consider it for the mask. Would like a hockey stick staff.

Looks good!
Love the textures.
I agree that some clean version would add some versatility to the pieces.
I would love to see some ripped tight jeans, a missed oportunity with the Pocket D Party pack.
Also, few variations for the hairstyles. Like cornrows, tight to the head, like the existing one for males, also a variation with some low and high very long ponytails for both males and females.
Looks very promising already, good job as always Dink!

Have you had a chance to check out the upcoming Cybertech costume pack?

You may find what you're looking for there.

Yep like Splaterhousehouse for example. Cursed Vodoo hockey mask wearing, chainsaw wielding, sports jock on a mission to rescue his girlfriend.

AKA SuperHERO.

Floating football shoulder pads seem awkward. Maybe combined with one of the current chest armor options it would look normal though.

I would love to get more weapon models. Nail-studded bat, sword improvised from a lawnmower blade, frankenstein shotgun, homemade claws gloves...

I like this, it worked well when you did it with the Halloween Bundle (so not new, but... Ok, its got an offical name now, so its a 'new' marketing feature). I think it adds more freedom to make stuff that without the contrainst of cramming it into a complete costume. generally, we don't use whole costume sets anyhow, we grab the bits that work for our characters. I can certainly see things like an 'Alien Pack' with some of those shoulder/head blobs left out of the sci-fi pack, some random alien faces, body parts, auras etc... Or a 'Golden Age' pack, instead of just building a full costume, with a whole bunch of randomly golden-age inspired parts.

Or maybe even something a 'Masks', 'Faces' or even 'Hats' packs!

Oh, and the pack looks pretty cool, Mad Max meets Casey Jones.

No Giant Cockroach pet though?

Always remember, we were Heroes.
