I'm going to arrest you by:

  • Hacking you with my axe
  • Crushing your skull in with my mace
  • Bisecting your liver with my broadsword
  • Slicing important parts off you with my katana
  • Cut/smashing your with my stupidly huge titan weapon
  • Shooting you
  • Setting you on fire
  • Freezing you
  • Exposing you to radiation
  • Exposing you to different forms of energy
  • Poisoning you
  • Dousing you with acid
  • Making you fall down in a field of really sharp caltrops
  • Blowing you up.
  • Beating you into bloody jello with super strength
What parts of those scream "hero"?

It's all in concept, presentation and execution (pardon the pun).

As for those who have the dosh to go to the con.

I pretty much ALWAYS have that. My problem is actually having the TIME to do that. My day job keeps me VERY busy. My sideline business keeps my "free time" just as busy.
It always sucks to be the person left out by circumstance. And I've griped about it myself.

Still, people DID shell out the cash and make the time to get there. It behooves Paragon to give such demonstrative fans SOME level of input into the game.

Otherwise the player's summit would consist of:

  1. Arrive
  2. Presentation of "What's up Paragon's Sleeve"
  3. Lunch
  4. Fly home
They call those "business meetings".

You do realize that if they did add clean versions, people would complain about it?

By not having clean versions this pack is focused on the post-apocalyptic setting. If you add clean versions then what is it? The post-apocalyptic with a working dry-cleaners pack?

People would say that "I've been waiting for X# of years for clean football pads and now their in the post-apocalyptic pack! I don't want to buy that!" Or people would say that having so many sport based parts and having dirty and clean versions that the pack lacks direction and is a blatant money grab at two different target groups.

No, they can't offer this pack with clean versions. If you people want a sport pack ask for it, Ask them to use the same things that are in this pack with a cleaner texture. But realize that these packs have to be focused on one sub-set of one general idea. When you break out of that sub-set and add thing that are out of place people get mad. (see the animal tail in the mutant pack).

Super Villain?

We still exist ya'know!

That being said,

another mohawk?

Weak.

Lookin' good! A lot of these pieces are just the sort of thing I've been hoping for for my character, Land of the Lost, for a long time now. (He's one of the Lost, see?)

What would go great with these post-Apocalyptic pieces would be a Black Market and Invention Lab in First Ward. Hint, hint...

But honestly, lovin' the good works!

I love it! I don't care about clean options personally, I think the game overall has felt too clean since Praetoria was added. Also I like the nail mohawk, it'll probably be the first mohawk I actually use. You're guaranteed to get my money with this pack. Now we just need to get someone standing next to Dink's desk asking; "Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet?" and so on in that fashion.

I hope the chainsaw is animated or it would be kinda pointless. Chain spinning and the occasional puff of smoke from the exhaust.

Since this is a rough draft, I won't comment on the belt. I realize it needs some texturing. So far, I like very good, and I can see myself using a lot of those pieces to create my sewer-warrior type guy.

Could we please have some images of the weapon models? I hear chainsaw, I think one thing, but perhaps you think of another. Will the chainsaw be animated? Many questions, many indeed.

I guess what I'm saying is, please show us images of the pieces not shown!

Don't worry female toon lovers... the concept art is revealed...

Kidding.

But seriously, although the pieces look well-made, this set will be a pass for me. This is what I think "post-apocalyptic" looks like...

What we are being given is more "dumpster-diving serial-killer." And the pieces are far too specialized for me (like those boots, unusable with any other pants). So definitely a disappointment.

Actually, what was basically asked for (and what we're getting) was things themed similarly to Mad Max.

I think those are just regular Resistance boots, introduced with Going Rogue. The official list of parts in the OP doesn't mention any boots at all.

No the hip tassels had to be removed, clipping issues.

In other words, add them to detail 3 (where the Carnival of Light Masks are), but allow them to be used in as many categories as possible.

You're not. It's the first thing I thought of.

I might actually be able to make a decent looking Jagi with these parts.

You know, for all the complaining that males don't have a mask...

females don't have the nifty death/skull mask that males get, either.

Looks alright so far, but I'll agree on having alternate clean versions of the Hockey Mask and Armoured Jeans.

Veeeery happy about finally having a Stop Sign shield though

That really doesn't have anything to do with what you quoted....

Is the reason we keep getting odd hair choices is because the dev team don't know what certain hairstyles are?

Woohoo! Those pieces look excellent!!

Thanks a ton for sharing! I really love this aspect of how you guys mingle with us. Very fun and interesting to get some more glimpses into the process (and be a part of it).

I'm liking the potential versatility that I think I'm seeing with these parts (even though they'll be dirty, which is understandable... some of the options should still have some good versatility).

(separate from this pack) I am excited about the hinted possibility of getting a quiver... my archer vigilante DarkRanger has been leaving that back option open for that day to come...

Anyway... liking this pack so far!! I know you said NO clean versions, but I could see making ONE exception with the hockey mask (maybe a clean-ish, possibly metallic version).

Regardless... good stuff, Dink and P.S.!!

ok, that out of the way, the chainsaw does interest me. others have asked about possible animation, so i'll consider that question already out there, but my question is, will they have unique sounds? Chainsaws, as cool weapons in movies, draw a lot of their character from the loud motor. yeah they are actually pretty unweildy and heavy(unless you are using hedge trimmers.. and then the other serial killers are going to laugh at you) but i cna see the animations for tw working, but the sound really is going to be a big thing for them being done right.

and yeah, ill buy this, i can see making an alt costume for my stj vigilante character. Really its kind of a shame this came out now, some of the stuff we have seen would work for eltontowners and slavers in first ward.

Longblade Chainsaw? Oh, man. I am going to arrest the hell out of some people with that.
