Actually, it wasn't working properly as of the 12th of September, which is when I should have earned my token. last week, I logged in to my points and token, however. I'm guessing someone went and reactivated an automated system at some point.

Quote:Yeah, I've been meaning to quiz the PinnFolks who were interested in me possibly setting up that "Dawn of Praetoria" PbP game and toss a few systems at them to see what sort of style they want to see in use. It could be anything from GURPS to FASERIP Marvel to Amber to Fireborn.I've pondered seeing if I (given permission from Titan Network) could use the info in Mids to work out how to put the powers in to another game (maybe using the fan created 'partial powers' system of the Amber Diceless RPG). If I really had time, I'd see if I could work out how to use Mids as a RPG system in and of itself.
I'm leaning towards "Truth and Justice" or "Dogs in the Vineyard," personally. Something where you can put part of your character sheet on the line if it's important enough. Although, I do sort of like the idea of fitting Mids into it somehow.
Anyone else tried this yet? -
Is Mortimer Kal a Shadow of Oberon?
(If others don't get the reference, my apologies, but I am certain that Posi will.) -

Civ and Alpha Centauri over here. Oh, and Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom.
Of course, my real main time-sink for the foreseeable future will be tabletop and (quite possibly) PbP RPGs.
It's incredibly unlikely that any other MMO will capture my fancy, to be honest. -

Wouldyou mind elaborating as to why? It seems like it retains almost all of the functionality of the game, but in a decentralized manner that would limit access chokepoints such as are currently threatening the game.

Doesn't count if I drag them into the game after the relationship exists, right?

Sorry that I didn't get to know more of/about the RP crew. Thanks to SJ for letting Taci and I hang out a bit with a few of you guys. And thanks for coping with Not a Nemesis Agent.

Didi Nemesis spark the Rikti War to get technology like Mediporters and dimensional portals proliferated in Primal? Was this actually prep for Batallion's arrival?
When did the Woodsman begin his heroic career?
Did the angels (see Michael, Christie, Gabriel, and the ones in Night Ward) bribe Prometheus into working with them with one or more Cole's heads?
How many other inhabited cities were left in Praetorian Earth?
What is the exact relationship between the original Lord Nemesis and Mender Silos?
Were we ever going to see Manticore indulge in his Vig-curious ways?
What about watching Scirocco go Rogue?
What does the door on the underside of Ouroborus do?
Who was Rularuu pre-Ascension?
Were the accusations levied by the Dream Doctor against the assorted Menders true?
Was Vanessa Devore Penelope Yin's mother Primalside as well?
That'll hold me for the moment, I guess. I could probably get in a competition with Sameul Tow to see who could produce tears from you guys first for asking after minutiae. -
l SAID THE NEW WINCH IS QUIETER!

Well, I had worked out that normaltext guess meant a real guess and the others were nothing of the sort, but not the distinction. Not bad for only being here a year, I guess (or is that "guess?")

Thanks, Bill. I'm not sure if we've teamed before, as very few of those names sounded familiar, but your posts always contained something to think about and your Kheld Lore collection certainly helped convince me to make Prismatic Surge and GlücklichKaninchen. Thank you for that, certainly, as I enjoyed my Kheldcharacters immensely. My Peacebringer for a chance to really weave the game's lore deep into my background. (She was one of the possession targets in the Moonfire Task Force.) My Warshade, on the other hand, was a bit of a comedic character, but man, those are some insane powers they gain!
Thanks again. -
I may very well miss this, provided it gets to happen (good luck with that, Posi!) If someone could ask, I'd love to know if Nemesis initiated the Rikti War merely so that Primal Earth would be forced to acquire important technology, explore and understand dimensions better, and generate a ton more supers before the Oncoming Storm arrived. He's sneaky enough that I could see him playing those cards just to make the world ready for a world-destroying threat...

Quote:Well, the former you can still manage from the character select, albeit without a wide choice of poses or backgrounds. The latter, however, I do not know how to remedy.I just want enough time to screenshot all of them...*and play them a healthy amount as well >_>...whut?*
I really need to save off all my costumes and take screenshots. I'm really going to miss some of my characters... -
Well, I was slowly working on an MA project that I was rather proud of, that I thought would be good enough to show off in here, even though I'd only been in the game a year.
Below is my plan for my "greastest MA arc never published." Feel free to add your own, so we can at least marvel at everyone's ingenuity.
The concept is that it would be for Loyalists who had just transferred to a Primal identity. Mr. G would contact you, wanting to use your relative anonymity as a "lowly" twenetysomething super to fly under the radar. The three main components of his scheme involved agitating the Luddites and setting things up so that they would go into a crusade against the PTS at a vital time, allowing the second phase to go off in the chaos. This would be an alliance with King Midas, aimed squarely at Aeon. In the confusion of the PTS going under, the Goldbrickers, backed with some choice Praetorian tech, would raid Aeon Corps labs, stealing lots of useful goodies for the benefit of both sides. The final part would be relatively low-risk and yet one of the most dangerous parts- through misinformation and selective reveals of actual plans, fan the flames of the Mediport Conspiracy's lingering bad blood, convincing both the citizens and low-level heroes that their access to the system would be "deprioritized" during the invasion, leaving them to die in order to save the high level supers.
I was moving very slowly on this storyline, mostly because I was trying to get all of the lore correct as I went along. Thanks to everyone out there who helped me with my incessant questions.
Hopefully the effect would be to show that someone like Mr. G was a far more dangerous threat than another squad of Praetorian robots, since he actually plans and pulls lesser resources together for a stronger effect. Guess I'll never know if I could have pulled it off properly in homage to a great villain now.

A thanks to everyone at Titan Network for your hard work and great tools for understanding the mechanics of the game and improving my play.
And best of luck with that goal, Tony. I'd really hate to lose this game, even though I'm one of those brought in by Freedom and not an 8yr vet. -
