Who's moderating?

What the balls? I had a thread on here that just got deleted out of the blue...

How very odd, I didn't think it was offensive, but perhaps I was wrong.

Who's moderating? Probably one of these rednames:

I guess one of THEM thought it offensive, or something. <shrugs> And apparently this forum isn't quite the unmoderated wasteland that some threads would lead us to believe that it is -- or at least not quite YET.

Was probably cause you linked nude pics. Check your pm's. Anytime I get modded, I get a complimentary pm to go with it.

btw, they were nice work.

Thank you for the compliment. I didn't get a PM, and I guess that's why I was wondering. I looked through the forum guidelines before posting, and they just said no sexually explicit content.

I guess there's room for interpretation. Oh well :P

No one, pretty much. Only the most absolutely egregious threads get deleted. We had a full-blown religious discussion go for about 400 posts, and a political discussion that never got nuked.

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

The religious discussion got nuked - you can blame me if you wish. I reported it to several rednames, and thankfully they agreed with me.

yeah they are a little slow responding probably because there are less of them. Back in July that discussion probably wouldnt have made it past about 10 posts about it on a slow day.

We'll just make a new one. You'll get tired of it eventually.

In all honesty, I found it disappointing. Nothing like learning unpleasant truths about people you had enjoyed chatting with for years.

Be well, people of CoH.

It probably had very little to do with being offensive.

Game is rated T for Teen not M for Mature. So posting clearly mature pics on the board is probably the cause behind it.

You mean finding out how someone thinks extremely different?

Or the cases were people just started calling out names and insulting instead of politely disagreeing?

Well, I didn't figure you for a leftist, or at least that's the impression I got from you. Color me (pleasantly) surprised.

Socially, very liberal. Fiscally, conservative on most things. It's so wonderful having absolutely zero representation in my government.

Social issues aren't government issues anyways if you're a libertarian. Just vote republican but shake your head at the nutjobs misrepresenting conservative ideals in the media.

... case in point.

If you lived in Ron Paul's district in Texas you'd be represented.

Uhm... Republicans as a party are not socially liberal by any bizarre, contorted stretch of the imagination. Which is fine (for you) if you want it that way, but libertarians do tend to be somewhat socially liberal, and seem to generally hold their noses at the anything but liberal social policies in hopes that Republicans enacting fiscally conservative policies will somehow result in governments being shrunk to where they will be unable to enact the social policies. Didn't work during the last time Republicans had majorities in all three legislative branches (which was pretty recently even by goldfish standards), so i don't know why it will magically happen the next time.

Then again i think that the definitions of fiscally liberal and conservative in the US are sort of missing a much larger and more complex picture in order to keep peddling a false dichotomy. Basically i agree more with David Brin's take on it. Although not entirely.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

The libertarian ideal is for social issues to be left out of government hands. Therefore the purpose of government becomes fiscal responsibility/leaving money in the people's hands/less big government and social stances of politicians are viewed as largely immaterial. This is why (practical) libertarians are largely a part of the GOP.

Ron Paul no more represents me than the pope does. Please don't breed.
