Seeing something wrong and virtually ignoring it until it effects you, then clamouring for attention by stating that you are now speaking for the rights of everyone in your chosen demographic? Not so admirable.
I wasn't aware of ncsofts history with shuttering games, now I am. I don't blame them for making a business decision. They could have gone about it differently, but that's not my call. I don't think they are evil. Hell, you want evil, look up Monsanto.
That doesn't mean I am a fan of ncsoft either.
Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see people speaking on my behalf as a gamer, I see them speaking out as gamers. It's my job to speak on my behalf, just as it is everyone else's right as well.
I just find it amusing that in order to vilify the Titan network, some people feel required to practice the same methods they are deriding. -

Back in the day, I would mostly hunt hazard zones for the bigger spawns. The vibe always lent itself to a smattering of industrial. Hunting Freaks and listening to Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy, and thier ilk seemed as complementary as mac and cheese.

Maybe I should have use the word 'retard' instead. To me it means a person acting stupid that should know better. I don't use certain words to insult the people who are the definition of them. That wouldn't be right.
Then again if I did call Fancy a retard, there probably would have been someone else moaning about how their momma was hit by a bus and hasn't been the same since.

i wouldn't be a bit surprised if the banned account rumor did in fact come from a certain former player who did a very dumb thing and then tried to claim it wasn't his fault when it got his account banned instead of trying to fix it. i'd had no issues with him in the past, but when he aggressively refused to understand simple English and logic... It was like he'd been infected by some sort of evil legacy of distorting facts to align with his rigidly set beliefs instead of adjusting his beliefs to align with newly learned facts.
i certainly haven't been banned for criticizing NCsoft, and i haven't been silent in my criticism. Although admittedly i also haven't been the sort of person who claims they're the fount of all evil just because they made a decision that i disagree with and that i consider to have been a bad decision that was badly (oh so very badly) implemented. -

Transfering your toons to the beta server is a way to be able to play them. While not booming, it isn't difficult to find a team. Also, everyone on beta is a vip as far as I know.

I have no data to back it up, but always had the feeling that better drops on the trials came the more aggro I could generate. My fire/shield scrapper t4'd really quickly and gets awesome drops compared to my fire/traps corr even though the corr is extremely efficient in trials(I assume its because of the reliance on dropping "pets").
I realize it is ridiculous, but I swear that is how it feels. Much like Dark Melee always felt like it was missing back when I played it. -
They were shockingly professional for the amount of wankitude you were throwing at them.

The game is definately getting quieter, I imagine by the end, anyone who wants the teaming experience will migrate to the larger servers.
As for the forums, I know I have contemplated just not bothering anymore because the vibe has changed so drastically. Unfortunately, the mostly rational discussions have left the premisis and have been replaced by doom and flauntingly breaking the accepted rules for no other reason besides that it can be done.
Not exactly how I want to remember things around here, and my respect goes out to folks who have been able to maintain an even keel. -
