Things are starting to more quiet around here.

I mean, it was noticeable even a few weeks ago. A lot of the other subforums got real quiet rather quickly, and a few have become silent altogether. This particular subforum has remained the loudest, but even here things are starting to quiet down. At least that's my perception, anyway.

I have to admit that I've already detached myself from the game itself. I'm focusing my need to build perfect things in Sim City 4 and Civilization IV. Yeah... I guess I am like that!

Still, it's sad to see how quiet things have gotten here, as people start to drift away. I wonder how much longer this board has, before it's taken offline.

I can’t talk for others, but in my case I have avoided the forums more and more due to a combination of as sholes that insist on trolling everyone that cares about the cancelation and the constant "maybe you should play THIS other MMO" spam.

I think at one point we had 5 threads on GW2 in the first forum page alone. They seem to have calmed down too, though, along with everyone just slowly giving up on the forums.

I'd say a combo of depression at the current situation and people going to Titan to keep the fight going has left the population low, and the remaining population polarized. I'm basically still here because I havent yet deleted the bookmark, will probably soon.

Yeah, things have bee na bit quiet. On one hand it's nice on the other hand, means that not many people hanging around. Probably will get more quieter as the time gets closer and then may have a decent sized population in game, for those that are able to log in, on the last day.

Let me add another theory to the pot: we have less to talk about.

There is no feedback or theorycraft to provide on new arcs, powers, bugs, balance issues and the like.

I suppose we could continue to argue how far apart ice blast and dual pistols are in relation to other blast sets, or whether it's fair for your brute to be sturdier than my tank, or whether you can make more profit convert purples or flipping them, or critiquing the finer points of designing costumes with new pieces, etc.

But since there is no one left to make any changes we propose, we are left with arguing about the best method to save the game, or if it is even possible to save the game, or what new game we should scurry to as refugees.

I can tell you the Titan forums have seen a huge surge of traffic since the announcement. Literally a hundred times the activity level that they had before. Some of the energy that would normally be directed here is no doubt fueling all those posts.

I haven't checked in a while, but I would imagine Unleashed has been busier as well.

NCSoft's "shut up and go away" message was a pretty clear signal they weren't going to be involved with saving CoH so there isn't much purpose to using the official boards, other than saying the farewells to the community.

The autopsy ? Pointing at the one issue someone thought killed the game ? The replies the game is perfectly healthy ? ?

There were the people talking about their plans to "Save"* the game but they have gone to forums that won't disappear shortly.

What the Flea said. Even before the change, traffic would be pretty slow in this section in between big news releases. In the old days there was a lot of new stuff to talk about, in the last few years I've noticed that many of the old subjects have just been done to death and people avoid them, and that leaves you with less general conversation topics, except when there's a new announcement and everyone is talking about that.

Now, there's A) nothing new to talk about, and B) very few people left to do the talking.

That's one reason I want to keep doing my 90 Days journal right up to the end... sometimes it feels like just talking about myself and what I did each day must be boring, but on the other hand there's not a lot else on the boards to read, and if someone else were doing something like this I'd probably be reading it. ^_^

What Flea said covers it for me and mirrors thoughts I've had over the last week. I miss the big numbers threads in the scrapper forum but what point is there to discuss that which will never be?

I can't even play my alts because I know there's no time left to get them where I want them to be. I keep logging BZB on to run his nightly DA arc only to be constantly reminded just how hard the devs screwed us over on the solo incarnate path. Yay, another common! I can look forward to another one tomorrow night, too! WOOOOOO. Only 15 more weeks until I can get a very rare! Oh wait... we don't have 15 weeks left.

Maybe I'll crank up a claws/bio brute on beta...

Forums are slow? The flamers/trolls must be getting tired.

I'm still playing the game, just limited minutes. Having a hard time getting in any time between work and school. My game bucket list is mostly complete and what is left is purely optional.

Not a shock at all.

I was on Infinity last night around midnight PDT. Only myself and one other person was logged in at that time. Most people have moved on to something else.
