Thought I saw someone mention in globals that a bunch of NPCs had shown up at City Hall as well.
May we live in interesting times.

That is one I know for sure. There have been others, that I didnt take note of, attesting it to my imagination, but it seems.. I am not the only one who has noticed.
Perhaps just my mind playing tricks on me.
It could be someone sending us coded messages, but it's far more likely to be old messages that just happen to fit well with the situation gamers find themselves in today. Or it could be sleep deprivation amongst the regulars. 
I'm in no position to attest either way.

I like it, the NPC are taking a stand as well, after all these years of us protecting them, it almost like the roles are reversed.

I'm still waiting for the night that I log in to see every NPC in the zone suddenly stop walking, slowly turn to face me, eyes glowing, screaming, "DIEDIEDIEDIE" as they con purple and attack.

THIS sounds like the same people who are responsible for certain GM spawns in unsual places finding a new way to use their toys. Lua is probobly able to alllow a Dev to poke an npc to suddenly say something new, but if these were old messges (and remember, NC isn't allowing anything that would have required a new code build) we'd have seen them before now.

I'm sure it's just coincidence, but while logging in for a rally the very first NPC line in the chat window was one of the reporters asking "can you tell us what role Arachnos played in this tragedy?" Even the NPC's want answers...
"Now, I'm not saying this guy at Microsoft sees gamers as a bunch of rats in a Skinner box. I'm just saying that he illustrates his theory of game design using pictures of rats in a Skinner box."

Don't be so quick to dismiss. I logged into the D to find NPC BaBs was there. So, I figured, heck, why not RP trying to poke his gauntlets ...
He turned around o.o

So ... yeah ... they can most definitely do some funky things with NPCs
Mirror Spirit and Foreshadow NPCs showed up later.

Edit: I reran all the DA arcs over the last two nights. That final Dream Doctor mission, kill 200 BP, then 7 Ravagers plus their spawns just to get in the door... now THAT is a mission to run at x8.

Um, bill? That mission, like the last one from solaris, is autoset to x8 already. so upping your x count doesnt do a thing.

Tested this last night to find it only half correct. The spawns you hit on the ground are at x8. The Ravager spawns at Mot's Maw spawn according to your diff setting as do the spawns inside of Mot. At x1 for me it was a single ravager with 1 lt and 1 minion.
