  1. I see this as encouraging.

Historically, NCSoft offered gametime for shuttered project game subscriptions. This is a change for them. They listened.

    They may still be listening.
  2. Interesting.

Seems like a tidy way to wrap up any financial obligations, which would be one step in setting up for a complete handover.
  3. hm. in this light.. perhaps the watershed event is a good thing.

From what I see, NCSoft has had no ability to manage a foreign project for some time and are now realizing that and pulling out.

Feel sorry for the new studio pickups.

    Paragon gets destroyed.

They regroup in LA, renamed Titan City. :P
  5. "You get four women in high heeled power suits to put the fear of god into a mega corporation"

    Honestly?

You realize, than being vindictive over poor management from a company is probably childish.

Then, you realize, being a hero doesn't have to be limited to a video game.

Go out and make a difference.

    +1
  7. Just a FYI.. while the silence is a bit disconcerting, the fact that some sort of negotieations implies they have taken a hit, and they may be working something out under a NDA.

Right now, what to them is a VERY minor market, has made a very big splash. One thing they have to (HAVE TO) do is maintain their investor confidence.

Being surprised by a market reaction because you really plan for all the risks, shows real poor program management over there and that does not instill investor confidence.

Right now, they are still working out how to solve it. It takes time.
  8. Again, sorry for the late notice.

Figured I would come and visit Justice server next.

Im REALLy sick with allergies right now... bear with me. :P

    Blade and Soul

    Id say buy this game!

Providing you dont mind it beign yanked out from under you.

Providing you dont want any storyline to speak of.

Providing you want to play another hack and grind (hey, maybe you like doing the same thing in other games).

Providing, you dont mind, being viewed as an exploitable commodity, and not a valued customer.

Right now, my confidence in NCSoft is pretty low.
  10. Lets give Infinity Redside some Flashmob Lovin! See you in 2 hours. Ill be creating a level 1 for this.

Cant guarantee we will get the strange happening of last night.. but.. cant say it wont happen either.
  11. How does Infinity at 4:00 sound, underneath the Recluse Statue?

Maybe. I dont know. I will be keeping my eyes open more now.
  13. "We can hear you, you are shouting so loud our ears are ringing"

That is one I know for sure. There have been others, that I didnt take note of, attesting it to my imagination, but it seems.. I am not the only one who has noticed.

Perhaps just my mind playing tricks on me.
  14. Various confirmed reports of NPC's saying unusual things.

Just a interesting thing to look out for.
  15. I am not surprised to be hearing about some of this.

It happened in the Occupy movements. 'Suddenly' all sorts of 'efforts' were being by the group that was counter to the movement, and no one knew who it was.

Safe to say, if it aint Titan, it aint real.
  16. if you want to send a overhwelming knockback to me at @vengeance mk2 I wouldnt mind. count me in on 24

and you can even have it back if we manage to save the game.
  17. Oh dear, the Devs were having fun with us!

I dont even know WHAT these are:

But.. it turned out, this all WAS a Nemesis plot after all:

And it was revealed the devs were just going to bug us:

A VERY fun flashmob. For some reason, AVs decided to raid Atlas park after this, and then, secret society were giving out secret information.

I will plot another for tomorrow! Stay tuned for server and location!
  18. At 4 pm Pacific time, I am going to attempt to get my level 1 (maybe I will get him to 4) over to the egg room.

No real point, outside of a fun get together. Low toons are encourage, but it will involve some team work to get them there I think!

Besides, its a fun room that not many people know about!

    See ya there!

BAH typo in the title! Virtue! VIRTUE!

BTW, this is not limeted to Virtue Natives. I copied over my main outfit to a level 1 toon.
  19. Thats a New Fox, not Faux News!
  20. It's threes sentences.

Ya came in here, full of piss and vinegar, attacking people for a choice CNN made. Yes, you were being a bit childish. When responded to, in a more civil tone than you were offering yourself, you insulted more.

So yes, we are going to treat you a bit like a kid at this point.

But, I have also seen you are big enough to back down.

Its not that your issues arent important, they are, but you clearly werent seeing the side we were. Doesnt make you wrong, but it makes your actions unjustified. Thats all.

You sound like a pretty passionate guy. Hell, even I am not brave enough to watch Faux News.

Look at it this way: We got a lot of momentum on something that is important to this focus group. All of the people at the forefront of this, are getting some killer experience in social mobilization. People in general.. as seeing.. maybe we can make a change, make an effect.

In a political climate where apathy dominates, even a small step like this is a good one, even if it is a practice one on a game.
  21. Flick is just looking for attention. He tries to make issues he feels are important dominate out of his own lack of self worth. Notice how is response to me wasnt a response, just insults? Kind of a marker that the person in question brought a nerf bat to a gun fight when it comes to defending their stance.

That said, his perspective is valid, from a very narrow point of view. Very narrow.

All I can say, is if this was a normal situation why has there been such an organized response. Adolecent crybabies, wouldnt have made this kind of impact. The fact that the community has managed such a response gives validity to its own claim. And hopefully, the lessons learned here will carry over to other causes.

That, and, if its really so trivial, why does it upset him so much?

Slaunyeh, im ALREADY working on my 3rd degree, working on another fashion publication, and redesigning a hubless electric motorcycle drivetrain. NOW I have to stop african warlords too?

    Sigh.

    fine.

So.. should I have made some noise or not according to you? Ill take that to mean, 'No, I didnt bother to read it, and am ******** on pricniple'

(lets see, if I am Grasshoppa, does that make you Flick here?)

Ok Flick, the issue is, you are wrapped up in your perspective. That it is a game. And from that perspective, you are right. I probably wouldn't have made the effort if that's all it was.

But.. there is more to whats going on that that.

We have issues of employment, and the marginalization of the American market. We have corporate decisions ignoring the consumer desire (these actions are appropriate checks and balances to corporate power, btw). We have the fact that this game is as much a social platform where families keep in contact, disabled vets run and fly again and more.

So.. Flick, it really is a big ol world out there, and there is more to it than the perspective you can get from your anthill.

Simply put, there is more here to save, than just a game.

You just dont see it. Thats all.
