  1. happy birthday johnny turbo!

everyone else's speed sucks in comparison to yours. have a great day, dude!
  2. Is there any updates since the last one in May? To include staff fighting and what not? Or will there be anyone providing a newer version?

Both requests are valid, this is just the way we decided to go out of the Pummit.

I do understand that many people want certain themes to make their way into the game, Golden/Silver Age being one of them, and over time, there's always the chance it will happen. In this particular case, the development team grokked this theme and had some great inspiration presented to them by the players.
I have to agree with X-zero on this one.
It's understandable, though, that this was presented to you, so you picked it. If it was like, a contest (I don't know how the Pummit works - never been), then yeah, pick the best one, or the one you can feel the most inspiration from at the time.

But, if you're saying there isn't inspiration in the classic golden age or silver age comic books, then something is wrong. I'm not exactly fond of having to strain myself to think of a new character that isn't a lightsaber-using, space pirate with chinese/japanese influence.

It'd just be nice to have something similar from Marvel or DC. I'd like to feel like a golden age or silver age hero. Someone like Quasar, Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman (even though I don't have any female characters, hahaha).

I just don't want to have to stick with the older pieces when all these new pieces are out that don't fit conceptually. Makes me feel a little bit bitter.

But yeah, post apocalyptic looks good. I'd consider it for the mask. Would like a hockey stick staff.
  4. I think this would be a good idea. Could do a lot of prior set-ups before it. Like, the bad Rikti found a means to transport another invasion force. A few psychic/precognitive members of various SGs all had the same vision. Just my input.
  5. I will do my best to be there! For whatever I can!
    – Voltium / Waypoint
  6. Voltium/Waypoint shall be there!
And if you'd like some sort of short AE mission, or whatever, I can maybe try and put one together.

Hey, I was with you, too.
    And Red, and Vince.
  10. Pumped for this to start! Only two days!
  11. Out of curiosity, has there been any updates with this? Obviously not counting Hybrid, but any changes regarding the graphics issue? Or putting it on the Titan Network?

I've zipped and uploaded my current Mid's, with the glitches, but with the ATOs update applied:

    http://www.filefactory.com/file/1udv...signer_app_zip 200 MB!!

If you open it, it might actually contain a character build. I don't seem to be able to print either, but I'm not sure if that worked before as I never tried it.

I'm still planning to have a look at the graphics glitches, if I can get access to Visual Studio 2010. But my job comes first, as it pays for my subscription. ;-)

Edit: I just read the rest of the thread, and I probably need to apply the update for Staff Fighting. I will make another upload when I've done that.
You're the best. Anyone who is doing this is.
Hoping the graphics issue can be fixed soon... if not, I mean, what's it really going to hurt?
  13. I am actually quite content with this. I mean, the only real issue I'm facing is the updates. I downloaded the file, moved it to /Titan Network, and when I tried loading it... it just gave me the Wineskin shpeel. Didn't start updating.

Unless I'm a noob with my mac (which I might very well be), I don't have Property List Editor. That wasn't one of my options.

So, I guess, looks like no ATOs for me until someone puts up a different version!
  14. this looks incredible.
my character adaptor would be a great fit, but team doom needs me.
  15. Hey folks. Was wondering if you could take a look at this build? One of my SGmates made it for me, and I wanted to see if anyone would mind taking a look.

Note: I have influence issues, so I had to swap out the purples for Crushing Impact and Decimation, as well as getting rid of the Tough/Weave enhancements for Titanium Coating and Serendipity.

Good resistances, you\'re not softcapped on your defenses but you have enough that you should be incredibly survivable. I also took Power Surge for the lol factor. Sub Vengeance for Conserve Power if necessary (I don\'t think you\'ll need it)

As far as Incarnates go: Alpha: Cardiac/Nerve (Nerve for the added defense if you really want to supplement what you have), Interface: Reactive, Destiny: Barrier/Rebirth, Judgement: Ionic (For RP concept, I guess), Lore: I believe it\'s the Phantoms that give you Adrenalin Boost.

  16. After this is all said and done, I want someone new to the game to stare at Statesman and think "Who is this clown?"

It's still annoying. Just go around and use broadcast or request.
That's what they are there for, my young Padawan.
  19. I dig this kind of writing. First person and what not. Great job, Galacto.
  20. Also, Xan: fix some of the links to the ERA stories. Whenever you click, for instance, Armaments' story, the word "of" is red and bolded, as if searching for it. Just thought I should let you know, since Stec whined about it in mine.
  21. Actually, that happened to me, too. Whenever I clicked Xan's link through the list of stories in the ERA thread, it had that. I don't know why.

But thanks a ton, guys. The next story is going to be pretty dark, so I tried saving some shock factor. I'm really invested in this story and character, it's sweet. I love reading the other ERA's, too.
  22. I heard that #13 of the ERA of Challenges was pretty good. Then again, all of them are, but I am biased towards #13. Peeps should comment on it.
