I will endeavor to finish my story in time for this. Really glad I'm gonna be able to take part in all this. I've really got to thank The Challengers and ERA for revitalizing my interest in RP. I hope everyone else will enjoy the event as much as I no doubt will.))

Had a really great time. Much love to @Johnny Turbo and @Freak Accident for putting all this together. One thing I hear a lot on Virtue is that people are having trouble finding a way into the RP scene, and that they don't like Pocket D RP. I'm hoping that today's event provided some people with a jump-on. It was a fantastic chance to network with other RPers in a superhero-themed environment.
For those of you unable to make it. Here was the format of the event:
Part 1:
In-Character Press Conference. Donald Fitzer (CNN) interviewed Red-Havok, leader of The Challengers. He introduced us all to the community. Everyone got a chance to praise/encourage/abuse/laugh at us. We basically just stood around and talked, building up hype for...
..,Disaster striking! Paul Ooshun (reformed villain, member of The Challengers), or at least someone that LOOKED like Paul Ooshun started causing havoc at the conference. He then ran off. Leaving The Challengers, and the heroes watching the conference, shocked at what to do.
Part 2:
[No screenies i'm afraid]
The Challengers needed help tracking him down. For this next stage we formed an in-character RP league. We put a couple members of The Challengers on each team, and filled in each team with people who had shown up to watch the event. I think we had six teams in total overall.
Each team ran one of the three available MA arcs designed by @Freak Accident. In the arcs, we tracked down the fake Paul Ooshun, discovered that he was a robot, discovered that there were loads of other fake Paul Ooshun robots, destroyed them all, destroyed the factory that produced them, and found out that the REAL Paul Ooshun was being held hotage in Terra Volta.
...sound confusing? Perhaps in recap it was. But the event was paced in a way that made it easy to follow. Also the roleplaying of each team talking to one another via league chat was a lot of fun!
Part 3:
Having tracked down the REAL Paul Ooshun to Terra Volta. The Challengers, and the large group of heroes that had joined forces with them, faced off against the villain responsible:
PHANTO!
Phanto (pictured above, packing heat) ultimately escaped. But the assembled heroes were able to rescue Paul Ooshun. (Pictured above, kneeling) Afterwards, everyone finally relaxed, breathed a sigh of relief, and started to make new friends...
Thanks again to everyone who came. This was our first event and I think it went well. I hope everyone enjoyed it, and everyone felt included in the story. We will be running more, so keep your eyes peeled.

Fellow Americans, we've had a rough couple of months, but I think you all know...that while we are scattered, divided, and losing hope, CNN stands by you in your time of utter hopelessness...bringing you hot off the press stories you're just dying to read.
Let's face it, the world is a scary place, but superheroes make it a little less scary. Especially as we enter into an era that will no doubt challenge us in every possible way. But we must remember, there are still heroes out there that don't just stand around writing out "task forces" for other people to do. There are true blue heroes among us and some of the finest are forming one of the greatest superteams in history.
When he was just a wide-eyed youngster, Cade Havok never thought he and his brother would become the crime-fighting duo The Havok Brothers! But with every great duo, there is inevitable tragedy. Cade lost his brother, and fell into bitter depression. And with that, everyone assumed that by losing one Havok Brother, the world had also lost the other. In time, Cade knew he was not done. He knew the world still needed him.
And now Cade has assembled the Challengers, and wants to address the hero community as a whole on Saturday, October 15th in Atlas Plaza, because with overwhelming odds against them, every hero counts.
Several other Challengers will be in attendance, including Xanatos, Replacer, Foxy Ferret, and Nimbus. This press conference will also serve as a means to dispel or prove several rumors about this team that have surfaced, such as whether or not they are harboring the fugitive Masked Renegade, or if they are agreeing to work with supposedly reformed blob of toxic waste Paul Ocean.
All heroes are invited to enjoy this press conference and celebratory networking event for the heroic community on Saturday, October 15th, in Atlas.

This is the first event that we'll be hosting. It will be an IC press conference/networking event in Atlas this Saturday, October 15th. We won't give anything away, but other exciting stuff will happen that does not involve interdimensional invasions or talking water collection devices for once!
