The clever and the cliche' - Water Blast Toon Names
I stumbled upon a neat name/concept and played him for a bit in Praetoria
Waxwork: (traps/water defender) a ghost who manipulates wax-like psychokineticly active ectoplasm for a variety of effects, from brute force, to refined constructs.
I saved "Shampoo Commercial" just for the set. Might go back and forth for a while on what her secondary should be.
you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you <3
If I put deeper thought and/or some research into it I could probably come up with a whole lot more. The point being that it's a common theme. More common than capes. Possibly more common than alliteration.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be
-- The Fox and the Hound
Not such an obvious name for a water based toon Drought cause I like to be different

MY FAREWELL GIFT
It is never truly gone, as long as there is someone left to remember.
Didnt read the entire thread before this came to me so im not sure if someone said it already...feel free to bombard me with an hero comments if it did.
Watter or GigaWatter for an water/elec or water/energy blaster
My toon's name is Mizuko Senju on Liberty
My WB/Kin is named Streamlined. Sadly "Jetstream" was taken, as was "Tidal Grave"
So far i've only remade my amphibious fishgirl Merkin Verde as a water blast user.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
I haven't made one yet, but batted these ideas around in my head the other day:
Corryvreckan (was one I grabbed to hold until I level one)
Aqueduct
Estuary (wish I could figure out a way to pair with earth)
Percolator (paired with fire and colored to look like coffee....)
couldn't figure out a good one using the word 'Quaff'
Now I'll have to think for a while and come up with a better costume/concept for "Velvette".

My Water/Cold corr is named 'Fountain of Truth'.* Got a snicker from my 12yo at least.
*going to feel funny if I decide to go for the Leviathan pool with a name like that
Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level
Just reserved Well O'Fury on Protector.
I just reserved Liquid Light on Defiant. Planning on Water/something, with Water colored pure white. Looks pretty in the costume creator.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
"Requiem for a Stream" :P
I have two: Deep Blue Sea (time/water defender) and Super Big Gulp (water/ice blaster).

Only she's on Justice.
Thing is, I was thinking Time would be a great one to pair up with Water on a defender or corruptor, but just haven't found the right concept yet.
The day I heard about water I saved Water Bug and Splish Splash on Protector. Thanks to this thread inspiring me...I made Water Colors, every attack a different color of course.

Animal Farm ID:71800
When Alts Collide: 134432
I made 'Sewer Master' on Virtue, a WB/Poison Corrupt or. Lots of yellows and browns in the powers. :-)
Costume is basically an environment suit with the new bubble helmet, and the face is an older man with the comb over hair.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

We don' need no stinkin' signatures!
Love the whisky reference, nicely done.

Because of you two, now I have "Whiskey-Sour", water/poision, using the female gunslinger costume.
@Texarkana
@Thexder
Why does a character with water powers have to have a synonym or metaphor for "water" in their name?

It's not just this thread, though. Pretty much every time I've heard people bring up Water Blast, it's come with creative names for it, like Golden Shower or Crimson Discharge or I. P. Freely or something. I'm starting to suspect I don't get the zeal for Water Blast because it has to do with the camp of character names like the ones here.
Again, I'm not saying water-based Water Blast character names are bad, I just wonder why they're so popular that I see them across a multitude of fan sites and forums. |
If they put a potato powerset in game, you would likely see the same name rush: Potato, PO-TAY-TOH, Po-Tah-TOH, Spud, Spuds McKenzie, Spud Gunner, Potato Masher, Mr. Potato Head, Spuds and Suds (for potato/water blast), etc.

Which colors do you use for silver? I seem to have a tough time with that one, and just pick a couple different light gray shades.
Total Characters: 120
Lowest Level: 1, Luke Johnson (Staff/WP Brute, Virtue)
While I haven't started leveling him up yet, I created The Cephalopod, with inky black water jet attacks and tentacle-like dark tendrils.
And while I decided to release the name back into the wild, I had also reserved Danger Buoy.
@Glass Goblin - Writer, brainstormer, storyteller, hero
Though nothing will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day
I went with Mary Morgan for my Storm/Water defender. According to Wikipedia, a Marie Morgane is a water fairy from Brittany (mor = sea and ganed = born), "Mary Morgan" being one of its variations. I like how it sounds like a simple "first name + name" combination, with an obscure French reference which relates it to the sea
