Two words: PLAYER SUMMIT.

It's obvious that they wanted Media Blitz out the door before the summit so the table could be cleared, so to speak. Also, my personal belief is that not enough actual testing got done during this particular beta, which is why the update is missing one of its key components and so many other bugs are now popping up.

Update: There is a fix for the glow mapping on certain costume pieces in an upcoming build.

ah so know i know why you are releasing stupid crap on the market each week just to meet your goal of something new weekly for us to buy . . .

you want to now start charging for bug fixes amirite?

cool ok since u only want to focus on content that will guarantee moneyzz then sure ill go ahead and buy bug fix compilation #1 for 800 pp. seems fair if thats what it will take for you to finally address the issues of this game.

This.

If they have a fix, why release this? Seriously, very little was actually added to the game in this patch, but a whole host of VERY obnoxious bugs were.

A quick tip as a workaround for the windows bug. The slash commands to load and save your windows positions are as follows:

/wdw_load (loads the positions in COH_INSTALL_DIRECTORY\wdw.txt)
/wdw_load_file filename (loads the positions in the specified file name)

/wdw_save (saves the current positions to COH_INSTALL_DIRECTORY\wdw.txt)
/wdw_save_file filename (lsaves the current positions to the specified file name)

It's not a great solution but until this gets fixed setting up a bind to load the positions file will at least give you a one-button fix.

If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Okay a couple of opinions...

...first, the UI thing. At least it's fixed in a build. That's so annoying it's unbelievable.

...next, if this knockback thing isn't a bug I'm going to be pretty upset. Yes, a lot of people have a problem with knockback but, you know, some of the non-vocal people DON'T and like the powers for whatever reason. On my psychic dom I love telekinetic thrust. It's hilarious. I have it slotted for KB because it's awesome to watch them fly. Now even slotted it's...pathetic. I really hope this is a 'bug' or a random test (that will be said was a bug) to see how people react. If they want to do something like this, I'd much rather it be an option to 'tone down' the KB or not.

...last, I'm disappointed in no TW. Yes, it's not a Tuesday but this beta and TW have gone pretty much hand in hand. Especially since some people (SMALL few, I know, but still) did get accidental early access. Just release it already and let me give you my money >.<

The lack of a working copy tool dissuaded me from testing this beta at all. I know there were things I could have tested on brand new characters, but it wasn't the stuff I was interested in testing. So I didn't test anything.

That the copy tool has been down for as long as it has been is pretty ridiculous. Maybe, just maybe the backlash against how shoddy this push was will help convince them to fix it so more people can/will test.

Something is wrong with the LFG queue. Bunch of us just formed a league, tried to load a Keyes and everyone suddenly had a near blank LFG window. There was 1 message stating '...event was about to start .'etc and we all had to re-log in the hopes of resetting the window. It worked . However..the accept window pops up, we all hit green, and window stares at us all, standing there, saying 16 of 16; We were eventually let into the trial, because we decided to sit and wait...

Hmm. After reading this thread detailing a fairly horrible bug that I don't even want to consider having to fight with....

Good. I needed an excuse to do nothing but play Skyrim during my free time this weekend.

It's not Paragon Studios it's the Producer people. Devs=child-spirited fun-loving people who happen to be capable of making games. Producers=Washington-equivalent heartless suits with schedules and releasedates.

Lead Dev: "21.5 isn't ready yet. We are NOT putting TPN live this week."
Producer: "Ok. Pull TPN, put it live. This week. What? You only patch on tuesdays and it's wednesday? ugh fine. Do it tomorrow. Oh all the other bugs you didn't fix yet will end up live too? Work faster on the next beta."

Yes, CoH has taught me that is how producers of MMOs work .

It was not unexpected. It's been on beta for weeks, likely since the first day of alpha testing, then closed beta, I know it certainly was when I went into open beta.
