I admit, I'm hard pressed to think of a superhero who I'd classify as using a "Titan Weapon". But it seems like a staple with "super strong" characters involves occasionally going postal with an extra-large chunk of the scenery. Since game mechanics don't really let us do both, being able to use it as a character theme works for me.
Of course, it could just be manga-bias, yeah, since I still see Eastern "superheroes" as being pretty super, and such. But there are plenty of staves there, too, yet "Titan Weapons" do feel more at home in the general mythos to me, for whatever reason. |
Might as well put it here with today's new stuff:

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
They also mentioned yesterday that they'd reworked some of the story arcs in Mercy. Part of the zone's story is going and reclaiming Fort Darwin from the Longbow.

Staffs, polearms and the like are required for me to assign a seal of ultimate approval.

I remember when Black Scorpion was just a member of a small strike team, and now he's the Lead for the Live and End Game strike team.
They grow up so fast. *sniff*
Of course, this should be the T-Shirt for the LEG team:

I hope there is a Time Control set in the works as well.
Can we at least maybe have the Signature arcs cater to that apparently tiny minority that actually spends some time between level 30 and 50 doing something other than back-to-back ITFs?

Well I don't know about unpopular exactly. Off hand it seems a little more video-game/manga ish to me than comic book exactly, but in any case it sounds like the mechanic will be a lot of fun. I have to say, the railroad crossing sign is fantastic.
Also I'm admittedly not as 'up' on comic books as I was ages back, but I really seem to recall more characters who fought with a staff than ones who fought with giant swords. |
Depending on how its animated, I could still see staves working. But it's honestly a bit disappointing to see another sword-based weapon set. I thought we had pretty much nailed those down by now.

Notably, at least one version of Robin. It doesn't get more superhero-y than that, for me anyway.

Basically, if you can hit someone with it, this is it.

It's not going to be sword-based, they specifically said that. There are sword models, but there'll be all sorts of blunt instruments and other stuff too.

And shovels aren't battle axes. The way it's presented in the concept art makes me think of it being used to deliver sharp downward force using the crossed part of it rather than as a blunt object.

Here I was hopping to be the first to chime in on that...
But, yea I agree. There's gonna be some Cloud wantabes after that set gets out. Now it just depends on what the other Weapon Models are...
Thank you for the time...

-It has one power that enhances the buffs/debuffs applied by other powers. Not sure if it's ally, enemy, both, or what.
One was an enemy debuff (slow and acc I think they mentioned) and when you cast any of your other debuffs on an enemy with that power on them they were more effective.
One was an ally buff that enhanced all the set's other powers on that ally.
Oh and also they mentioned that character slots (and I think transfers) would be purchaseable through the paragon rewards program (so no real money fee).
