  1. Holograms, foil, embossed....the 90s were a scary time in comics. This list is just the cherry on top.
  2. I find watching the COPS reruns entertaining every once in awhile....and by entertaining, I mean I usually lol at the fact that people used to love that show.
  3. This is why my pull selection has shrunk to almost nothing, and I've found myself seeking out trades of series and story-lines I never got around to reading in the past. I'm currently reading Planetary.
  4. Yea, I could shoot for higher S/L defense and the soft cap. But I thought having E/N defense up there too would be even more useful, especially since I got some great +HP bonuses along with the defense via Eradications.

I think the one thing I haven't been able to settle on, is where to slot the ATO set, as I only have it 5 slotted at this point and am missing out on that bit of extra resistance that would go nicely with all the resistance I already have.

    Thank you for sharing.
  5. Hey folks, I'm looking for some input on my fire tank. I'd like to get him set up for trials and the normal end game content, and this is what I've come up with so far.

He is one small luck from the regular soft cap of S/L/E/N, pretty good resistance, good +HP including accolades, and okay recharge. Feel free to make any suggestions.

  6. This always amazes me how people let someone else's character's costumes or names affect their gaming experience. Who cares? If it bothers you, report them and move on, otherwise let it go, sheesh.
  7. Keep in mind, if you go with something like a Fire/Dark corruptor, you can always customize the dark power colors to give a more fiery look. This will help achieve that concept you're trying to stick with. I'd also say that this combo is probably one of the safest and most powerful, in an overall mindset of both wants/needs. And I feel this way even without heavy IO slotting for bonuses.
I base most of this off of having leveled a fire/elec blaster, fire/dark corr, fire/ta corr, fire/cold corr, fire/time corr, fire/fire dom, and earth/fire dom.
  8. I've got the Brute's Fury in Foot Stomp right now and the Armageddon in Burn with the chance for -res proc, but mine is more of a hybrid build for taking down AVs and GMs. You can also split the Brutes Fury set, to maximize the defense bonus potential. Basically, there is no *best* way to set it up if you want to be running the brute for more than just farming. You end up giving up a little in one way or another.

  10. Pfft...I think you need to up your game....make as many threads as Golden Girl uses emoticons.....that's right, a challenge back at ya. :P
  11. I saw them and gave it a thought, but realized what some others have mentioned. Between patrol exp and the various means of exp boosting via super packs, there isn't much need for it. I wouldn't give anyone a second thought that buys them though. Different folks, different strokes and all that. Just like I don't care if people PL, farm, manipulate the market, or whatever it is....your dime, your choice.
  12. I have enjoyed the Super Packs I've gotten....although I will say that opening them while drinking usually prompts more purchasing. :P
  13. If I'm not mistaken (which I could be wrong in all honesty), I believe Hover is counter-productive to a handful of Traps' powers. Meaning that you cannot active or use them from the position of Hover. Just a small thought.

Someone might need to verify this though. :P

  15. Isn't there already a reward system that Premium players benefit from built in the Paragon Rewards? Each tier offering permanent access to various things such as IOs, AE, the Market, exc.

Interesting, thanks! Gonna have to check it out, and make a new Dark/ corruptor then.

I didn't know they altered Life Drain....what did they do to it, or when?
  18. I never had issues with my SS/Elec...and I've been debating pairing TW or Staff with Elec....its a great set with many tools...add some defense, and you're golden.
  19. So, all in all a successful summit then.

Translation: The OP believes that people that are playing for free aren't getting their moneys worth.

This was my exact sentiment, after reading the OP.
  21. I'm not too concerned about the upcoming Bat-book crossover. Mainly because it's a short run crossover, and not some lengthy 12 book crossover.

I also haven't decided if I will even pick up all the books. I've become increasingly disappointed with the new DC stuff anyways. Each month, I've dropped a title and am down to about 3 titles now.

    ?/Stone Brute

I get a kick outta my Kin/Stone brute....the animations look great in granite.
  24. I've had luck and enjoyed Ninjitsu, Ice Armor, and Energy Aura. All three offer something unique to gameplay and really should be given a good look for a secondary choice.

If you'are a fan of aoe potential, electric melee fits that easily, although I have been really impressed with street justice for stalkers.
