This a thousand times over. Is there really nobody else in the entire multiverse? I swear Marcus "Marty Stu" Cole has only gotten worse since Jack left.

Statesman Prime: Greatest Modern Hero in the multiverse

Imperious* "Statesman Past": Greatest Ancient Hero in the multiverse

Reichsman: Worst Nazi in the multiverse

Praetorian Cole/Tyrant: Worst Dictator in the multiverse

My biggest hope now is i21: Rularuu Eats Marcus Cole (All of Them)

*Not technically named Marcus Cole, I suppose, but let's not kid ourselves.

But from looking at their previous overview stuff... they *have* tended to skip out the "solo" announcements pretty much.

*edit* and for those being picky

Issue 19 overview0
What issue 19 delivered

It *doesnt* list the 2 new arcs...

Neither do the overview pages for I17 list the extra content that was added..

I16 overview misses out the Super Sidekicking/exemplering

Hell, the I14 overview mentions NOTHING else apart from AE.... (granted it is called Architect Edition).

Note: Taking the overview stuff as gospel for what *isnt* coming.... make of that what you will.

Incarnate level solo content... not so sure on.

Non incarnate solo stuff... More than likely, yes.
Thank you for summing up what my gut instincts were telling me! More I20 info PLZ devs!

It's more likely to be Issue 21: Rularuu is Tyrant's Glove-Puppet

How about you remember that you're a player like the rest of us and you stop trying to moderate the thread? If you've got a problem with people bringing up relevant concerns about the all-team all-the-time focus of this issue and if you think that's off-topic, then report me to the mods. See how far that gets you.

I'll repeat myself from an earlier post - this is a thread to discuss the I20 announcement, not merely to unquestioningly praise it.

Edit: the defensiveness of some people in this thread surprises me. The devs are grown ups who get paid to do a job. They don't need you guys riding to their defence every time someone dares to say they find something disapointing.

Zombie, I appreciate what you've done for the community, but you are not a forum mod. Please stop trying to act like one. You do nothing but make the forums that little bit more hostile.

Let people post what they will, and exercise your right to not read it if you don't like it. If you feel it's breaking any rules, feel free to call the real mods and let them handle it. Really, I wouldn't mind.

*shrugs* If i had just come onto the forums and read the most *common* posters, I would be inclined to leave the game.

Make of that what you will

Fair enough Zombie Man, in fact I agree with you that someone that plays an MMO and expects a lot of solo content is like someone that plays football and expects to never have to handle the ball. Personally if I'm not respecing/crunching common IOs/working on the base I'm running missions on a team. I do however have my own list of complaints that I'd like to post in this thread, I hope that my post will be acceptable to you sir:

No work on bases, despite being told that Issue 13 was going to be "really big for bases."

Nothing to salvage the wreck that is PvP from the bottom of the well into which it was thrown in Issue 13.

No Powerset Proliferation. We've only been asking for Super Strength and Energy Melee on Scrappers since before proliferation started.

Bank missions still haven't been added to Oroborus, despite Positron saying this would happen over 2 years ago.

Jetpacks still aren't a back option, we've been asking about that for years too. At one point we were even told that JLove had spent a lot of time working on a large number of Jetpacks. So were are they?

Devices still languishes broken while the devs address issues with Brutes and Scrappers and Tankers.

Now I have no intention to vent my spleen about these issues in every single thread that I read. So how about if I limit my complaining to just those threads that involve the latest issue and those that involve future changes/content. Would that be acceptable?

And if it is, then would if also be ok for the "die hard soloists" to post their complaints in just those threads as well? If not then why not?

Don't wanna' cry doom, but the absence of new costume sets worries me. Hope we won't be paying for them in booster packs from now on.

We will, that much is for certain, but we've had a lot of Issues without costume additions. Far too many in my opinion, in fact, but I20 is far from unprecedented.

On the flip side, costumes could go a long way towards making me quite a bit less disappointed with the features list. Let's hope they were left out.

Though, one wonders why costumes and story arcs would have been left out but respec badges left in.

The Devs didn't want the badgers dogpiling on them like everybody else.

Is it just me, or can anyone else not see why they needed a NDA?

I mean the match making system is nice, but its been done before.

And multi-team fights are a staple of the MMORPG Genre.

So what exactly were they trying to hide away?

Edit to add:

Bit disaapointed at the lack of 'solo' stuff to be honest, I mean story arcs can be done in a team, but TF's can't be done solo.

I've been saying it from the beginning, the signed NDA is just the next step in hype-building.
And some of the comments in this topic about how i20 was promising the world seem to indicate that it works, if perhaps a little too well.

You bring up a good question, though I'm less curious what they had to hide as I am about what they needed to test so much that the I20 Beta started before I19 went Live. Are those systems really that error-prone? Honest question here.

I didn't read the whole thread, but do any people think that the i20 image is a bit odd? Any chance customizable travel powers might be waiting in the wings with the fly-poses featured? Otherwise, that image makes for terrible preview material.

Well, I imagine that was a bug fix, but it is odd to mention it on the overview.

The match making system, was probably a massive pain in the **** to create. I mean look how long it took the current MMORPG subscription leader to create theirs.

I'm not hounding you, you're telling me how it hurts you when people challenge your ideas. But you don't have any problem putting yourself out there. You're complaining about something unfairly, and you should be able to accept when you're challenged on your ideas. The fact is that all you people playing an MMORPG and then complaining when the devs create content for teams are being wholly unreasonable.

This isn't a single player game played on a shared server. The devs have to create content for teams because GUESS WHAT, some people enjoy playing in teams. All this complaining about a very content rich issue is silly. Some issues don't have anything for soloists. A WHOLE FRIKKEN EXPANSION had one recycled trial for groups and you people are here whining when the content that should have been in the expansion is just now coming.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I have my own list of things I'd like to be fixed or to be created. I don't add to every patch notes thread, "What? No <fill in the blank>?" about it.

I agree with you that there are systems which are languishing or need to be fixed. I bring them up when appropriate. I don't mind the solo-only crowd voicing their concerns. I've made suggestions to the devs that would help them. The mods went out of their way to get their feedback.

I don't know what they want now. Derailing every thread with this isn't going to change the near-future development cycle that was put into motion a year ago.

Now... I don't feel like helping them anymore. They've worn me out with the inability to make the one-post and leave it be.

And you know... there is always starting a new thread. But interjecting the oft repeated complaint in every nearly tangential thread isn't productive... in fact, it can start to be counter-productive.

That's kind of what I mean. If this were JUST the TFs and Trials, then I could have thought it was, you know, just the TFs and Trials. But throwing in the esoteric additions of respec badges and Black Helicopters makes it feel like a complete list. If it weren't a complete list, then those two items don't belong.

I don't know, I still hope there's something they haven't announced.

So in a thread that's about Issue 20 it's not appropriate for a person to discuss what they'd really like to see in Issue 20?

Like I said, I almost never solo, but I am in complete agreement with Samuel on this one. His posts are about what he wants to see in Issue 20 and/or future issues. Your posts are whining cause you don't like the content of his posts.

Now tell me whose posts' are more 'on topic'.

Nice straw man there. "You people" keep twisting my words. I've never complained about the developers creating team content. I understand the need, I understand the desire. I'm not complaining that there are Trials and TFs in I20. That's natural. I'm complaining that there isn't anything else.

If you actually bothered to make an argument on the topic at hand, instead of complaining about how "we people" shouldn't be posting and should suck it up and drive on when you continuously throw malicious arguments in "our people's" faces, then maybe I would not be as upset, but you seem keen on denying the disillusioned people the right to post, instead.

And I'm done with it. Old laurels can only go so far, and I don't need this. You make the forums unfun for me and, thinking back, I can't remember the last time you made them fun. You clearly don't like me, so do the reasonable thing and put me on ignore. Because I never want to see anything you have to say ever again, and I'm giving you fair warning right now - I will never see anything you have to say ever again.

To avoid "having the last word," as it were, I do intend to see what you have to respond, if you choose to do so, but this is the last we'll ever say to each other. I'm done arguing with you for good.

You know what's worn me out? Your inability to let one-posts be, so the people who made them have no reason to keep defending their right to have an opinion. Just a thought.
