Not at all. If anything, I wish I was more eloquent. It's, at best, a kludge response--but it is how I feel. A very simple and easy goal would be keeping the Monthly address...you know...monthly. Like, if it always came out the second Monday of the month...that would be a good thing. Further, it would be nice to see some of the concerns of longtime subcommunities like bases and PvP addressed.

Frankly, I'd just like to see the forums fixed as a first step. A monthly state of the game address is no good, if no one can read or respond to it.

Does anyone else all of a sudden hear "YOU ARE ALL... WEIRDOS!" in the voice of Sam the Eagle?

Just a couple of quick comments:

Please for the love of Gawd, Do NOT force us into using the NCSoft launcher. I used on my old rig when I tried playing Exsteel. I was not too thrilled with it at that time. I doubt it's improved any.

DXP Weekend announcement. Nice. Having to hear my GF tear her hair out now to try and get the time off for it. Problematic. How about next time giving something like 4 weeks notice for something like this, please?

Teasers are nice, but how about a little more info on what to expect down the pipe?

Everything that you said has sounded excellent, but..

..please do not force the new launcher to be mandatory!

Especially if it runs slower than the wonderful, minimal launcher that we have now.

I agree so hard and very much with Tymer. That thing was a monstrous headache, always caught in loops forcing me to reboot my PC. If we have to use it, I would honestly rather not play, it's that frustrating.

Which of course will now have to be parodied in CoVideoHell... I can see it now. Hordes of winged hawkheaded heroes divebombing a Rikti dropship... it'll be beautiful.

I've no clue what the NCSoft launcher is... but I do believe this will be a good test of whether or not they meant it when they said they were listening.

I'll probably get flamed for this but it sounds like I20 is going to be Incarnate only stuff...again?

I know it's a neat system and all but I would like some content that my characters that I haven't maxed to 50 5 years ago and then grinded out a bunch of shards and purpled out can do. I really see the incarnate system as little more than the COH version of gear gating content, just not AS bad.

This bothers me because I want to see the story of the game thats unfolding. However I'm getting worried I'm going to miss massive exciting chunks that are "Incarnate only! You must be this overpowered to ride".

Personally I'd prefer adding more to Praetoria but thats me.

Those two are mutually exclusive. In all content design ever created, off- and on-line, multi- and single-player, "challenge" and "inclusive" have always been mutually exclusive. If you're the first dev team to pull it off, I will be surprised; so far, Apex and Tin Mage do not seem to suggest you have.

I pay to play this game because it doesn't feel the need to push the envelope of "challenge" and put out more and more content accessible to less and less of the player base. I want to make that perfectly clear: I play this game because it is "easy", because there is no content I cannot tackle (and even some of the existing "easy" challenges I still fail, because I don't run with an elite group). Changes away from this will affect my enjoyment of the game, and potentially my subscription to that. Please keep in mind that I am not the only player like this - just one of the few that vocally speaks about it on the forums.

I can appreciate the desire to deliver some of the "challenge" so oft clamoured for by others, but I'm not going to sacrifice my enjoyment of the only MMO I've ever loved for their sake, and I hope you decide you won't either.

Pretty sure that you're wasting your breath here. I'd bet that a commandment came down from NCsoft corporate "Thou shalt use the corporate launcher."

Edit: wow, having read more of the thread, it's worrying that there's nearly universal hatred of the NCsoft launcher. What is the problem it it? It's hard to imagine it being so horrid if NCsoft uses it for all their games.

... but only *just* after the Rikti finish washing it and shining it up. After all, that's when birds attack cars...
