In other news, I'm hoping that a monthly newsletter and NA only Meet & Greets will not be the only way you're interacting with the community. Just a thought from your friends over the ocean.

Unfortunately, with the ncsoft launcher, they probably mean the 'communities' of the different MMOs, such as Aion.

So Ghost Falcon turns traitor and joins the MiB, Nate ascends to redname, Alpha slots on the way, we've got loads of spiffy stuff, I am cool with most of this (GF turning traitor, not so much).

Very much looking forward to seeing what happens next... and I hope this is a sign that the Powers That Be are loosening the muzzles on the rednames again. We can but hope.

I don't think I've ever experienced this launcher application, doesn't seem too popular by the sounds of it. How on earth would it bring the CoX community closer to the other NCSoft communities?

I seriously hope this is optional and not mandatory. Last I've used the NCSoft Launcher (~1 year ago, maybe), it was really slow, clunky, buggy and even caused my computer to crash, whereas the CoH updater updates and starts in seconds and never gave me any trouble, ever.

All pretty good news... except the NCsoft Launcher thing. Ugn, unless you're completely revamping that thing, can we PLEASE still be able to use the standard launcher if we want to? I'd rather not have to bother with that thing.

Never had issues with the NCSoft launcher myself, and i found it easy to keep up to date (ie you didnt have to launch your game for patches to be downloaded, as it could do it in the background if you set it so).

Having said that, I don't know how it has progressed in the past year since I stopped playing Aion a year ago.

One other thing that I *DID* like about the launcher was that it was possible for game status to be checked without starting the game (I used this heavily with Tabula Rasa).

The other stuff... looking forward to immensly.
