  1. Issue 21 sounds more like Issue 21: Blackjack! I love this implementation of comic book story panels to narrate the tutorial.

    Also I'm hoping the music will be updated as well to compliment these changes.

  4. Hmm I see what you're saying about Plasma Shield having to be a priority. I didn't think it would make much of a difference with the 20% damage resistance bonus I would get from the Cardiac Core Paragon on top of the base resist.

    Here's yet another rebuild but this time I added the Gladiator's Armor +3% Defense proc. I actually have one of these but wanted to not have to use it on this tank. I also initially did not want to have to resort to using PVP or Purple IOs on this tank.

  5. Thanks Tubby! Per yours and Grey Pilgrim's suggestion, I tweaked this build a bit to gain more all-around defenses to melee(33.1%), ranged(32.8%) and AoE(32.8%). It became really tight on what to keep and remove. Please let me know what you think.

  6. Thanks for the feedback! This build is what I'm using as of right now actually. The Obliteration set was definitely the costliest but Miracle, Numina, LOTG procs I used Hero/Villain merits to purchase with. I also had some good rolls with my AE tickets.

    What I did with CJ was try to use the 10% regen bonus from the LOTGs to help boost my overall regen. If that doesn't make much of a difference, I can see where it would make a bigger impact being added to boost Weave instead for the HP increase and psi defense.

    For Temperature Protection, I wanted to get some kind of psi resistance along with psi defense. So I opted to 3-slot it for the psi def and psi resist as well. With me going Total Cardiac on my Alpha slot, I figured it may get a hefty boost on the Damage Resist bonus there although minor. It's something to help me out when I do Hero tips on the Carnie missions. If it doesn't matter and psi defense would be more beneficial, I can try and move it somewhere else.
  7. I am looking for critiques and improvements on how to achieve a good balance of damage and defense/resistance on my Fire/Fire/EM tank. I wanted to originally try and turn this tank into a bulletproof powerhouse by trying to fully maximize defenses, but I hate having to sacrifice damage to achieve that.

    I use this tank for pretty much all content as well as farming +4x8 demons or custom AE mobs. Here is the current build below. Thank you in advance for any and all advice!

Your updated build with Gleaming Bolt gives me a great template to work with.

  10. As a US player, I side with the EU arguments. It's common sense and those opposed to it are just ignorant to the comfortable stance they're in. Come up with a better solution than "Suck it up, EU players" because that dbag attitude goes against making this game a better place for all players.

    I stand with Veterancy rather than Geography determining who gets which Global Name. Why would you want to figuratively slap the face of your loyal customers? Bad for business.

    A name may sound like a silly thing to argue over, but to most people it is their identity especially for those of us who have been here since the very beginning. It has more than just financial attachments; it is their emotional and social tag. A lot of time and resources were invested in these names. I would be extremely angry if someone were to take my Global Name away.

    So I agree with those of you who are opting for a Veteran solution instead of just "sucking it up".
  11. I put off playing any lower level characters for quite some time now in hopes that some of the plot holes would be filled. Such as why do I need to bother seeing Mender Ramiel in the first place upon reaching level 50.

    To me, it doesn't make sense why there is this great sense of urgency to contact me out of nowhere. What gives him greater urgency than Statesman or Lord Recluse asking for my help? With these new mid-level TF/SFs, it ties in very well to the ultimate destiny of my characters and a foreshadow of greater things to come later. At least now, once my characters reach 50, the stakes will be higher and it gives me a greater purpose.

  15. I'm really looking forward to buying this pack as I have several animal themed characters but had to improvise with the limited selections for heads and feet. It's great that the avian heads will have multiple beaks and not just only eagle available. My duck hero will love this!
  16. Really sweet! So far the only avian head mentioned is the eagle head. Hopefully more varieties will be available in future Animal Packs in the event those in the video are all we will be getting for now.
  17. Cool! I'll try to make it tomorrow night. Did you want to set up an EOE farming run tonight on Monster Island? This is considering that the last time we tried to clear the monsters in The Abyss, Hami spawned almost immediately after the 2nd was defeated.
  18. On Triumph, I got so fed up with the one that was spawned by Interrogator Washington that I logged into my 50 and was able to call in reinforcements to help take it out. It was actually there for about a week. There was no way to see that contact without getting taken out and it is unfair to new players who need that contact for their Loyalist arc. I'm more than willing to volunteer to help clean these up, but something must be done to prevent them from being able to spawn so close to contacts.

    Nah it takes practice to lead 35+ different people, most of whom you've never teamed with before, to strategize a raid. So don't give up so easily because of a few failed attempts. Even some of the veteran raid leaders have had some failed attempts.

    It is crucial to have the following teams: 1 Hami taunt team(Switch multiple Tanks/Brutes/MMs if you have to but it's important that Hami is distracted away from the Main Mass), at least 2-3 yellow mito melee teams, 2-3 ranged/hold teams for the blue and green mitos. And you need very good communication with the team leaders who can relay that info to their respective team members.

    As B said, practice, practice, practice. And don't forget your EoEs.
