  1. Heck yeah! Double XP Weekend! Eeeeexcellent. Also, welcome aboard! We'll be a good player base... maybe... heh heh.
  2. Hmm... you guys want my stuff? Alright... tell you what. My last day is July 28th. If you can catch me on, send me a tell and prove to me you've teamed with me at some point. I'll give you something if you have. My global name is @Crocker.

    Have fun.
  3. After more than five years (I was in beta) of playing City of Heroes, I'm leaving. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. City of Heroes has an awesome group of fans! And you devs, continue the good work with this game - you've really made some great changes and updates!

I'm leaving City of Heroes because of time and money and other circumstances, but this game will always stick out to me as one of the greatest MMORPGs ever made. Thanks a lot, everyone!
  4. Really? I haven't had trouble with EB's running away that much. Only ones that are programmed to run (i.e. missions where you have to stop them from escaping, so obviously they are running). Most EB's I fight stay to the bloody end. There are times when I wish they would run so I could rest.
  5. I've been playing since beta, and I do notice that lately, baddies seem to run more. To be honest, that's fine. Like someone else said earlier, (this is for lower villains), if a superhero starts blasting you in the middle of a crime, wouldn't you run? As for the bigger guys that run even when you think they shouldn't, oh well! In my experience, if one guy runs from a group of them, it's easier for you to take on the rest. The guy that ran will be back. If you are fighting and defeat all but one or two, and they run, yeah. What would you do if your buddies just got pulverized by a superhero? I don't think you'd care if you have full-health or not. As for villains that just seem to run away all the time, good. Use the time to rest or something and wait for them to be back. If you have no patience, then just run after them! Turn sprint on and you are faster than the majority of villains in the game. So what if villains run? Just be patient and make the best of it.

    My two-cents worth...

Lol, wouldn't those all look the same? And what would they look like?
    Nice suggestions
  7. [ QUOTE ]
You spelled it "agro". It's "aggro."

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ah! Thanks, I thought you were referring to aggravate.
  8. Thanks! I'll add those in tomorrow. Remember, this is the A-M guide.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
I've seen it used interchangeably in CoX, sometimes referring to a single npc, sometimes referring to the group itself, as in the classic definition of a mob of critters.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yep, and that's why I edited this to include both definitions.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
In a video game context, mob is a single enemy (mobile object), not a group of enemies...
...You misspelled archetype and aggro. Fort can also stand for Fortunata (Arachnos Widow path).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks, I'll edit it now. (I've only ever seen "mob" used to describe a group of enemies, never a singular enemy...odd...) Also, aggravate is the correct spelling. Aggrovate and agrovate are wrong.
  11. Really? I play on Pinnacle and I almost never see it used. I've seen it used in Anarchy Online a lot and in WoW every once in awhile.
  12. LOL! Safety Dance emote? That's great! (Oh, and I have seen the dance6...it's pretty crazy. But surely there are crazier dances than that! )
  13. City of Heroes is known for having a lot of emotes. More than most other MMORPG's. Still, what's the harm in asking for more? I will post emotes I want to see put in and everyone else can post an "emote wishlist", emotes you want to see added. Here are mine, not in any particular order:
    Basic:
Cry - Something along the lines of WoW's cry, a standing, hands over face, cry.
Collapse, fall over, dead - An emote where you fall over and lay on the ground!
Woot woot! - An emote where you "pull the horn" like in a train.
Yes! - An emote like Woot woot! but you do it in front of yourself. (Both hands in front of body, fists clenched, pumped down. Like you do when you say, Yeah!)
Sad - An emote where you hang your head.
    Complex(er):
Fiddle - An emote where you fiddle around idly.
Hug - A hug emote! (To solve height problem, there could be: hughigh, hug, huglow, hugkneel.)
Jump - An excited jump, not normal. A happy jump.
Highfive - Can also be used to smack those taller than you!
Flail - Flail your arms around.
Die - Collapse to knees and then fall forward. Just a tad morbid...
Crazy Dance - Dances that are more crazy and funny.

    Any other suggestions?
