The (not so) Official MMO Speech Guide (A-M)
In a video game context, mob is a single enemy (mobile object), not a group of enemies. Please don't perpetuate mob-group, because it just confuses the issue.
Consider looking through this category on Paragon Wiki for more.
You misspelled archetype and aggro. Fort can also stand for Fortunata (Arachnos Widow path).

Mez: Noun. Not typically used in CoX.
[/ QUOTE ]
It may be different across servers, but I see the term Mez used in CoX quite frequently. Usually in context like, "Watch out! There are mezzers in that group" or "I typically don't put CM on tankers and scrappers because they have mez protect powers."
Come to think of it, CoX is the only MMO offhand where I've seen that term used.
Really? I play on Pinnacle and I almost never see it used. I've seen it used in Anarchy Online a lot and in WoW every once in awhile.
How much do you want to bet the same guy that designed Circle of Thorns also designed those Sky Raider machetes?
"What are you talking about? Of course I keep Self Destruct on my tray. Eh, don't worry! I won't . . . oops . . ."

Thanks, I'll edit it now. (I've only ever seen "mob" used to describe a group of enemies, never a singular enemy...odd...) Also, aggravate is the correct spelling. Aggrovate and agrovate are wrong.

That's funny. I am usually on Triumph and have seen it there often enough. I've also seen it used on Paragon Wiki quite a bit (memorization badges, for instance).
Never played anarchy online, which is probably why I haven't seen it elsewhere. The prevalent term in wow (at least on the servers I've played on) seems to be CC for crowd control, if I said mez there I'd probably just confuse people

If we're referencing other games, in wow the term "mob" always refers to a single npc, to the extent of being pluralized when they're in a group ("trash mobs" before the boss).
I've seen it used interchangeably in CoX, sometimes referring to a single npc, sometimes referring to the group itself, as in the classic definition of a mob of critters.

Additionally, Forts are also player archetypes, Blood Widows who have taken the Fortunata career path.
