Demons growling...over, and over, and over...
No you aren't. It's extremely irritating. I'm not sure since I don't have a DS mastermind, but I think it's the tier 2 or tier 3 pet(s) that do it. The timer on those noises needs to be changed to make them much less frequent.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Admittedly, it can get annoying, and I think it's actually tier two that make the most noise, the tier three is silent to my knowledge (as a dignified Demon Prince would be), and the tier ones have a 'snortling' noise they make.
But I will say that it's not as bad as was back in beta where the timer was, literally, every five seconds, and the particle effects for the ember shield was out of control and a pair of them could lag rooms.

Dont they have some sort of powering up sound effect too that sounds like it cuts off midpoint? I havent played the set yet so not sure what that is.
This is the #1 reason I don't play a DS MM, and I will leave a team (provided it isn't doing well) if one joins. I have to mute whenever I'm at WW and some jerk has his demons sitting there growling the whole time. It's too bad because the DS powerset is interesting.
Eh, they were worse in beta.
This is why my DS MM is petless, lol. I love the powerset but I can't STAND the pets!!
I have a DS MM, and I love the set.
Yes, the sounds can be annoying. That's why I try to not bring them into places like WW (I park 'em across the street or dismiss them). If I do have to bring them in, I have a macro set up to make them all do Hero Stance 1, so they stand there silently.
Any stance or ongoing emote they can do will make them skip the sounds they make (save for the heal aura). If they get pushed out of place and have to move back, however, that breaks the emote and they'll make noise again. So, if you see demons standing around doing some kind of emote, don't push them around or they'll start making annoying noises again.

Yeah, its only the Gargoyles (tier 2) that I hate with a passion. I wouldn't mind, y'know, if they were about half, 2/3 quieter than they are atm.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

It's great that you guys have found creative ways to shut your pets up, but the vast majority of the playerbase doesn't know about these methods, and/or doesn't care that their stupid pets are annoying the crap out of people.
Pets shouldn't make any noise at all unless they're in combat. Period. The demons are simply poorly designed.

This is why my favorite masterminds are zombies and ninjas. They are quiet when they fight, and silent when they aren't fighting.

That post, and thread in general, gives great info on how to override sounds in your client, including the Moo demons, or any sound which is annoying you.
...And this is why, when I am running my Demon MMs through their paces, that my computer sound is turned OFF.
Developers please make these pets less noisy, for the love of all that is unholy! And other players, please don't hate us Demon folks, because we are powerless to change the noise these beings generate. You oughtta be us, and have to run around with our sound off because we are sick and tired of being "AAAA-RAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGHHHHH!"-ed to death.
ENOUGH ALREADY!
Gives them all a bone to gnaw on, and elicts a few laughs from those around you.
Otherwise, I like the sound effects for them while we're moving crosscountry and engaging in vicious combat.
This is without a doubt the MOST ANNOYING sound effect in this game. I hate it. I have left teams because of it. Its annoying in Wentworths and I play with headphones on which makes it even WORSE...
And the graphics are also very very taxing on the eyes. They should be toned down a bit.
They need to take this noise off COMPLETELY
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
So I searched the forums for this topic, but my search fu is weak, and honestly, I just kinda want to rant about this a little bit, so general forums ahoy!
Is anybody else intensely annoyed by Demon Summoner henchmen hanging around gathering points? It seems like every market, every architect building, every university, every trainer, and every tailor has a DS MM hanging around it at least half of the time, and the pets NEVER SHUT UP. And their howls and snorts, for me, get -really- -tiresome- after awhile. I've -never- been annoyed by a sound effect in this game before, but LORD this gets on my nerves.
I want to clarify, I don't have a problem with the set, or the players. I'm not trying to impose on anybody's right to hang out in popular gathering spots. I just really wish people would either dismiss their pets if they're gonna be there awhile, or that we had some kind of option to tune them out.
So, am I alone on this?
