What are the classes you just cant play?
I can not bring myself to play a Mastermind, or to be more precise I dont have the patience to play a character reliant on pets. Cant do it! I have tons of cool ideas for masterminds but nope no can do. So what classes cant you bring yourself to play?

- Dominators. Don't enjoy the domination mechanic, find control sets boring.
- Controllers. Find control sets boring, can't stand the feeling of beating mobs to death with a pool noodle for the first 30-odd levels.
- Stalkers. Design of the AT goes against the design of the game, being (generally) a single target specialist in a world where AoE is king. Those stalker sets that do decent AoE are also available on ATs that aren't made of wet tissue.
- Tankers. Low damage, boring role, presence in team promotes bad play. A holdover from an era of game design better left forgotten.
- Kheldians. Peacebringers are the most frustrating thing in the world; PBAoE attacks with knockback are the antichrist. Warshades are apparently a great deal better, but I wouldn't know because I can be just as much of an unstoppable killing machine on an AT that doesn't require constant babysitting and conversion of insps to breakfrees so I am not rendered insensible by the first minion with a stun.
By the way, let me just say to all those players out there who enjoy playing Tanks, and who play them well - Thank You!
(Sometimes, I wish there could be a Dev thumbs up button for quality posts, because you pretty much nailed it.) -- Ghost Falcon
Scrappers and Stalkers. Simply cannot stand them. I might try again if I EVER get a Katana.Ninjutsu Scrapper.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
Hmmm...
Likes:
MM's: 3 45+. A Necro, a Bots, and a Demon. Necro seems most resilient, Bots the most fun.
Scrappers: 3 total, 2 50's. MA/WP and Katana/Dark. Smashy fun
Blasters/Khelds: a 50 DP/Energy Manip (fun ), a 50 PB (humanform only), and a 46 WS (humanform only)
'Trollers: a 50 Ill/Kin and a mid-30's Ice/Storm
Dislikes:
Tanks and 'fenders: I've deleted every one I've ever made. Closest thing to a fender I have is my AR/Devices or my Bots/Traps. I have Taunt on exactly 0 toons...
It really comes down to toon concept for me. Even if the sets work great, if I don't like the toon, I just can't play it. I've yet to come up with a tank/fender concept that just makes me say I want to play the heck out this.

I think I'm the opposite of the norm here, because I actually prefer playing Controllers, Defenders, and Stalkers most of all. They just work well with my playstyle--I tend to be team-oriented, in fact, and I think these ATs fill in a lot of gaps in larger teams.
But this is about what I don't like. I don't like blasters most of all. Their "squishiness" has little to do with it... it's the endless drone of "pew pew pew". It just feels way more mindless than any other AT I've played--like pressing the essentially same button (not literally) forever. As if I'm using an Atari 2600 joystick with one button. I have an ice/ice blaster who has been sitting at level 37 for over four months--I just can't be bothered to play her since there's so much other stuff that's way more fun. I think the only blaster I'd probably like is a FIRE one, and only because I've seen them clear mobs at insane speeds. Will I actually make one? Probably not.
Absolutely hate Defenders.
I -used- to love Tanks, but that was long long ago.
Then they did the Global Defense Nerf and then followed up with ED and it was like "well, lol thanks for the neutering!"
Seriously. My Inv/EM tanker once tanked 3 Eochai and about 20 little pumpkin men during the first halloween event. How can I ever go back to tankers in their current state after that?
Hmm, used to be Stalkers, but with GR I am loving and actually leveling my KM/WP stalker.
Defenders, not that I dislike them so much, just that I started the game with villains and still prefer Corruptors.
Controllers, same as above but with Dominators.
I'd have to say MMs and HEATs. Just cannot get into them or the playstyle. I even got a PB to around level 34 ish but it was all labor, no love. She was dumped on Infinity to open up a character slot during the January free server transfers.
"Life is what happens when you are making other plans"
Tankers. The fact that it takes forever to kill anything. And that I can play another toon and do the job pretty well makes me not want to play them. Oh and the fact that I never play the tank in every MMO. I will do anything else but I am not going to play that Warrior that has to deal with everyones aggro and have subpar damage. And with the the fact that the devs have been blurring the lines between the roles of the ATs blueside I have absolutely no reason to play a tank. If I want to do crappy damage I will play a toon I made to be pure support but atleast I am helping the team and not just standing there getting wailed on for the team.
anyone keeping count of how many hate this to hate that?
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
I just can't play a controller or kheldian. I really... really can't. Just no.
Classes I cannot play? Well, I'll list what I have no 50s of, and go from there.
PB/Warshade - Just don't feel them. My PB is 37, despite being created the day they were made available. I don't have a Warshade - I think I've played one up to ten before deleting it.
Corruptor - Just never really had a concept. Highest was 28 before deletion.
Brute/Stalker - Never really found a combo that clicked for either AT. Highest Brute is 22, highest Stalker is 16 or so.
SoA - Don't have one at 50 yet, but I do enjoy playing them.
I only have one each of blaster, defender and controller at 50. The controller is the only one I still play actively.
I love tanks, and I really think that scrappers and dominators are the best designed archetypes. The MM is an oddball, and I'm considering starting another one.
Comrade Smersh, KGB Special Section 8 50 Inv/Fire, Fire/Rad, BS/WP, SD/SS, AR/EM
Other 50s: Plant/Thorn, Bots/Traps, DB/SR, MA/Regen, Rad/Dark - All on Virtue.

Jeez Jack blows through missions as a tank, does plenty of damage..ok I can't solo drop most AV, but never have problems with EBs....unless they are evil endurance drainers. And the there is something to be said for jumpin' into a 8 hero +2 mission with no fear, something thirlling. But I don't play tanks right.
I have troubles with controllers, I get bored to easy and I am not social enough to be a team dependant player, a shame too cause I have some killer RP concept controllers. I have one ghost of 50's rock and roll B movie star.Johny Thunder I think, Sonic/storm. I have a Jesuit monk trained in the art Church magic whose an emp/rad Saint George. The never take off for me.
Jack Wolfe Prototype Super Tank, over 25 million in damage taken in the service of others

Wow.... so much hate for Kheldians and MMs here... two of my favorites.

I've made probably two dozen villains over the course of my subscription, and every single one got deleted. The highest level one was around 30. I thought it was because I flat out didn't enjoy the aesthetic of the Rogue Isles, but I've run into the same problem in Praetoria.
Dunno what it is. Maybe I'm just a biased hero.

Class I just can't seem to play are controllers, Master Minds, and Tankers. I just like being right there in the action as a damage dealer. Other classes seem to sit back and be more supportive; I like playing a character that is self reliant. Tankers are exceptions, something about playing them makes them seem slow.
Hmmm... my least favorite AT?
Well, I have a Kheld, a Stalker, a Defender and two Trollers at 50; obviously I like those ones a fair bit. I have MMs and Brutes in the upper 40s... I love my two Dominators (though I don't play them all that much because I have newer characters)... and I just got my Tanker who is in an RP group to 30ish. My SoA is almost 46.
I guess that leaves Scrappers, Blasters and Corruptors. I have a tendency to MAKE a lot of scrappers... but I never seem to get too far with them. My highest just got to 39 or 40... but I literally made him 2+ years ago. So that is more a case of perserverence than anything else. Blasters are pretty much in the same boat. And as for Corruptors? I like playing them, but I can't ever seem to get a concept that sticks around long enough for me to get sets together I really like. And I try not to repeat playing any sets, so a lot of Corruptor options have been used by my Trollers/Defenders and my SoA forever ruined any hope there was for me playing AR.
So, bottom line, I think Scrappers and Blasters are my least played and least enjoyed characters. But I guess it should be said that it is really the character CONCEPT that allows me to "finish" a character and not what it does per se. And I really do like all the ATs at least a little.
I've never managed to do anything beyond like lvl 12 with a blaster... I just feel like I have only 1 powerset instead of 2 I guess...
The closest thing to a blaster that I've enjoyed has been a corruptor.
Jem - Ill/Rad Controller Lv 50+3 Nic - Mind/Psi Dominator Lv 50+3 Lady Liberation - Invuln/SS Tanker Lv 50+1 Invicitx - Demon/Pain Mastermind Lv 50+1 Celeste - Emp/Arch Defender Lv 50+1 Nightsilver - DB/WP Scrapper Lv 34 Dusk Howl - StJ/Regen Brute Lv 32 Kyriani - Time/Energy Defender Lv 41Psifire - FF/Psi Defender Lv 50
Star Lighter - LB/LA Peacebringer Lv 30
Tanks, because I have no sense of direction. Following me is a really bad idea. Also, stalkers because I'm vain and don't like being invisible.
The Tanker AT.
I like the Tanker, as a friend, but he's just not my type.
Even though I have one at 50, tankers are my least favorite to play unless I am on a team. If I'm not on a TF or something else that requires a team, I tend to solo, so yeah. My tank will likely sit idle.
I do have a 50 of every AT (yeah, I'm OCD), and there are definitely ATs I love more than others. Scrappers are number one for me, I love them to death. I can't play any other Mastermind other than Bots/Traps, I've tried. Defenders are near and dear, as an Empath was my first 50, to go along with my husband's Scrapper. It took me awhile to warm up to Brutes until I rolled a DM/WP and fell in love. Same with Stalkers until I found DB/Regen. Sometimes it's not a matter of the AT, it's a matter of finding a power combination that works for you.
The other ATs I can take or leave, I'll likely not play them unless it's for roleplay.
As for the HEAT/VEAT debates... I think it took me the longest to level a Peacebringer, as I rolled one right when they were released. I never disliked them, but sometimes they were a little boring to me. I did like the challenge of the different forms. I vastly prefer Warshades and all the great things they can eventually do. VEATs are wonderful once you get them to level 24 and beyond, I like Soldiers and Widows about equally.

Kheldians for sure. They're just one ofthe ATs that just...makes me hate playing it. Okay, that's not true...I like playing them in human form. However, I HATE playing in Squid form, and Drawf form just bores me. And since I hate using the two forms, I feel like I'm neglecting the whole point of the AT...sooo...I just can't play them.
Masterminds go on that list as well. I got my Demon/Dark to 50, I loved my Demon/Dark, I was tanking with it, surviving lots with it. It just bored me. :/ *shrug* Not my style of play is all.
Trollers. Have 2 at 50, but while I know how good they can be and are...yeah, I've kinda just stopped with them. Like the MM, just not my style.
Everything else, I'm more than willing to play, though some of them still have issues. Love Dual Pistols and Fire Blasting blasting, I just don't feel as useful to the team. Scrapper brings damage and survival.
I find the fact that Scrappers survive better, brings more to the team.
Also, Blaster secondaries do tend to be suckie imo.
Defenders are no different than Corruptors to me...but with me being able to get a corr as a hero, I'll likely see less Defender usage, because I like having the attacks as a primary powerset.
I exemp for TFs a lot, and hate missing the attacks.
