I will miss it... it's where I started off my first character, who is now my only level 50. (I'm slow, I know. I also rhyme. Sometimes.)

Quote:Is that the "132 and Bush, I've got him at gunpoint" one?Confirmed. Look up the police chatter "radio station" from the original Grand Theft Auto. Every clip in that track has been used all over the place, and my best guess is they weren't the first to use it either. I've heard it in tv shows, in movies, in all tons of video games...
I've been trying to find the source of that stock sound for a while now. It caught my attention with how frequently it's used, though my guess is the original source has been lost to the ages. -
I know I've heard the Atlas Plaza neighborhood music at least once on The Colbert Report.

I've made probably two dozen villains over the course of my subscription, and every single one got deleted. The highest level one was around 30. I thought it was because I flat out didn't enjoy the aesthetic of the Rogue Isles, but I've run into the same problem in Praetoria.
Dunno what it is. Maybe I'm just a biased hero. -
"Rrrraghh! This is PAINFUL!"
First time I ran a mission that took me to the Underground. I don't know what it is, but even on minimum setting that place is a nightmare to my FPS. -
This seems to be shaping up pretty well. I may roll a few characters to see if I can get hooked on a powerset/division concept.
On that note, have you decided on any kind of naming standards? IE real names, codenames or nicknames, serial numbers... -
Bit off topic, but the third screenshot in each ad, the one with the blue hero... is that costume pattern available in-game? I can't seem to find it.
EDIT: I just realized that's Neuron... never mind! -
Crashing the game when I try to enter the city.

Every time I see that video of GR, it makes me want to upgrade my graphics. I don't even know if I can on this computer, but I want to.

Quote:Ahh, SWG. Slaughtering butterflies, frogs, and fleas. How Star Warsy. In Star Wars Galaxies, they made me fight butterflies. Butterflies. Seriously.
Granted, they were big butterflies, but still... How do you explain to the medic that you got killed by a butterfly? -
Done!
I had no idea about all this business with the RMT'ers. I actually just assumed it was normal and uncontrollable given my experience with using the WoWwiki and SWGwiki. -
Quote:True that. If Ghost Rider can make it work, I'm sure plenty here can.Ah, but by in large (speaking as a non-programer) I think the bikes themselves would be scaleable objects based on the body size of the toon. We see examples of that already in emotes and costume pieces. Obviously, we would want the front wheel to turn with our hands still on the handle bars. And of course, you have to be able to pop a wheely and maybe burnout. The booster packs are money makers though. I can't speak for everyone, but I have more than a couple natural and tech origin toons that could use a bike to improve their persona. $10.00 would be nothing to pay, especially if they gave us a handful of bikes to choose from. I suppose the only origin that a bike doesn't fit is magic, but even then... someone could probably come up with a story that works.

Grappling hooks. And I don't wanna hear excuses.

I have a really hard time thinking up Magic origins, which is kinda silly because some form of magic can be used to explain pretty much anything in game.
And now that I think of it, almost all of my character's backstories make them more dual-origin than single. Like my Kat/Regen Technology Scrapper. Swinging a sword is more or less a natural (albeit trained) skill, but his healing powersuit is technology. I think a good number of well-known comic heroes/villains probably have overlapping origins as well. -
So much over-reacting. What white picket fence neighborhood doesn't have a half-naked demon love creature out and about?
-
o.O
Is that the Aperture Science logo on the chest?
Looks great, though! -
I could be wrong, but it sounds like at some point you toggled your Screenshot UI setting to not display the UI when you take screenies. I think that the Scroll Lock key toggles the UI display in screenshots by default settings.
