Going Rogue Video Card Upgrade Question

My husband just got the ATI 5870 graphics card and he is lovin it... and expects the Direct X 11 to come in handy in the future. We picked this up at Micro center for 259.99$ USD
I however am very content with my Nvidia 260... and I think I picked this up a few months ago for 179.99$ USD

Yes well I love my card.
I going to be starting to drop hints for a new computer for christmas, and I was thinking of getting two 9800s or GTXs for it - but in another thread, I've been told ATI would be better than Nvidia, so I'm not sure what to pick now

I have a 260 and CoH looks fantastic.
I buy all my computer parts from newegg.com. This is the 260 I picked up a few months ago. It's $199 and has a $10 mail-in rebate right now. Interestingly, it was $188 and had a $20 mail-in rebate when I bought it.
Anyway, newegg has a lot of customer reviews of the card. It would probably help to read at least a handful before deciding if you want the card.
Btw, ATI cards have had problems running CoH. I'm not trying to say anything bad about them, but look at the huge thread in the technical forum that's been running for the past two years.
Well, what I'm looking for is enough power to max out the GR graphics even on a Hamidon/Mothership raid

The card you want is the ati 5770.. it eats the nvidia for breaky.. its all newer tech nvidia cant touch ati in that price bracket.

Now he has a 5870 card... Just one... and tbh we dont see a difference at all.
Maybe we will see a difference later today cuz I just got us aion... but i doubt it.
Thats to be expected.. but you will notice with new games and i suspect the goin rogue touch ups.

currently running an 8800GT, its flawless in CoH, no errors, settings maxed. I would also recommend the GTX260, its what im going for. I don't remember whether or not CoH can even use SLI ?

Sooo, if i want to run CoX in ultra mode and be able to get smooth gameplay during raids etc. and all for the cheapest i can get that for what graphics cards are best and what price would i be looking at??

I don't think it's worth buying a new card now for game tech you won't likely see for another 6+ months when you could get the same card for less.

Every time I see that video of GR, it makes me want to upgrade my graphics. I don't even know if I can on this computer, but I want to.

Whether there's a plan to change that, I don't know, but I'd doubt it. If they were going to optimize CoH for dual cards, they'd probably would have mentioned that along with Ultra Mode.

Any gurus out there care to give me some advice.
I'd like to pick the right card so I dont have to upgrade again till Christmas next year 
My fiance is asking for my Christmas List by tonight (yea, her family does this way too early for me), and I always put a new video card on my list.
Currently I have a ATI Radeon HD 3870 612 Pcie card. It does fine with what I play.
Well I see that Going Rogue is going to take advantage of newer cards.
Im looking at either the ATI Radeon HD 5770 1gb ddr5 card right now on tigerdirect, and the Geforce GTX 260 896MB GDDR3. The ATI card is 128bit interface and the Geforce is 448bit. But the ATI does directx 11 and the other does 10.1 I believe.
I know that Cox runs on open gl. Will there be a switch to Directx fully for Going Rogue or will it stay open gl and just operate at a more recent version of it.
In the end, I just want to know which of those cards will probably run this game in Ultra Mode the best. I have a AMD BE 3.0 dual core cpu now, with 8 gig of ram. Nothing fancy.
