pulling everything, or trusting the system?

I have way too much on too many different characters to pull it all, but I have pulled down anything particularly valuable, such as purples, along with canceling any outstanding bids and pulling my influence storage bids down.

I'm pulling anything I care about off the markets (mostly done now, in fact).

I ran into more than enough troubles when I-17 came out - This strikes me
as significantly more complicated than that (which hopefully means they
actually tested it better, but I already have my opinion on the liklihood of that)

Yeah, that too. I had to merge two inventory systems when our companies were merged.

I have enough also. But I still bid creep on salvage for purples where I just spent 200 million on the recipe. Just because!

I keep trying to liquidate, 'cause I only have about 150M all told. Every time I go to the market to collect, I think "I'll just take a look" and find some other shiny that's going to pay me 3x what I put into it >.<

Liquidating what I can't fit into my storage bases. I trust database migrations like I trust lite beer to have flavor. Not. At. All.

This gets me everytime. Especially, right now. Even after factoring in a liberal estimate on deflation, there are still sooooo many bargains.

I'm pulling whatever is convenient and screenshotting the rest.

Screenshotting any inventories that have very expensive items and/or lots of bids, ignoring the rest. I bought several hundred "junk" pool C recipes just before I13 dropped, hoping they'd go up in price, but the increase since then hasn't been enough to justify doing anything with them, so I still have a few characters with 50+ items sitting around that I wouldn't notice if they'd go missing.

I would, however, strongly suggest that people remove global emails before the migration, as there were a lot of cases of people losing items there, as opposed to only a few losing stuff on the market.

meh. I'm leaving stuff up.

I have great fun flipping salvage. It moves fast, I can bid and sell it in bundles of ten, and I don't have to pause to collect or craft anything; which is exactly what I like.

But the types of salvage my heroes buy and sell are not the same types of salvage that my villains buy and sell. The reason is that one type of salvage might have a much higher demand red side, or blue side. So I'm wondering how the merger will affect that. Will salvage with a high demand on the red side suddenly slump down to almost nothing once the merger is completed? Or will it be the other way around?

I'm curious to see, so I'll be leaving all my bids and sales up to find out!

Like BillZ, I don't trust database jiggery-pokery.

I've yanked everything still unsold from my lesser played alts, which means it hadn't sold after months of being listed, in most cases.

My three active market toons are still going, but at some point over the weekend I'll shut them down and clear their slots.

This, of course will be no great loss to the markets, as all I do is buy common salvage and supply generic IO's...

Pulling everything, E-mail's cleared...while I don't particularly expect problems, most of what I have up is more for storage for immediate use, rather than sales/flips/etc (mainly since none of my Hero-side characters are in a SG, even a 1-person one, so I use WW as storage blue side).

I've got a few more things to cancel this morning, but have already pulled everything else off.

Fulmens should be happy to know that 1.2 Billion in listing fees have been evaporated into the Ether. I'm just happy that I can burn 1.2 Billion and giggle like mad about it nowadays.

Vaporized? That's just... *snf* beautiful.

I only burnt up about 50M in listing fees. Unless you count the ten 2-billion-inf Luck Charms I put up that one time. I may not relist those immediately.

I too have too much spread out over too many toons (and not enough time) to bother. I trust that records are being kept and even if there is a problem, sooner or later it'll all be sorted out in some fashion and I won't have wasted my time logging in every single toon.

Why hasn't anyone said DOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! yet? Well there, I just said it.

I wonder if I18 and the merged market is why the servers are down now with GR coming at midnight.

Not bothering, I figure worst case I'm out a bunch of enhancements worth, oh, maybe 20-30M inf, whatever.

Having a big number of items and bids up in the auction house, I ended up pulling only the items I'd actually be annoyed to lose, mostly purples and some rare rares.

Pretty much this. I'd also add that, if they unlist my items for sale AND return the listing fees, I've lost nothing by waiting it out. But yeah, even if it all vanished into the binary bilge of the internet, I'd just list new stuff and move on. An entire month's worth of market sales is nothing more than pocket change to me.

I just saw notice that the Market has been merged a few hours ago. I'm still at work, but I guess since there hasn't been any posts about lost stuff, it went smooth enough. How are the relisted items selling?

All of my stuff was fine, and new things have been listed. It's slower than normal, but I expect it to speed up fairly quickly.

I've not gone through all of my toons, but it looks good from my end too.

Everything looked fine on my end. Had e-mail and auctions that came through with no hassle. One minor difference: They seem to have swapped the position of the Bidding and Selling numbers from yesterday.
