Only 1 toon of mine is leaving the RI. My plant/fire dom, BC Skunk. As far as his bio goes, when GR comes out, he'll be "legalized".

I'm planning on taking one Character from Vil to Hero (A Thug/poison MM) I also have a Character that's currently a Bots/traps MM that I plan on Re-rolling to start in praetoria

My one villain (I only have 4 characters) will stay in the isles, not because I want him to stay there, but because I never play him.

Otherwise, any and all Villain AT characters I roll in the future will start in Praetoria. I detest Mercy Isle.

I don't care much for blue side. It has way too many zones and many are quite dead. It is also poorly designed and most of the TFs kinda stink. Red side SFs aren't much better but it is well designed - easy to travel to all the zones etc.

My villains will be staying in the Rogue Isles, just as my heroes will be staying Paragon City.

I prefer to play solo so I don't have the responsibility of making a mistake fouling up a team. I chat with a lot of people on one of my server's global channels, but it takes some coaxing for me to team.

My character's themes are pretty firmly in place in my head, so they won't likely change alignment.

I don't have very many characters Red Side because I hate playing in the Rogue Isles. I find the zones to be either dull or irritating to get around in. The few active characters I have over there will undoubtedly get shifted to blue side. And I'll be starting several villainous ATs in Praetoria destined for blue side: A few of my Controllers will probably get deleted and replaced with Praetoria-started Dominators since I've always liked the Controller primaries but hated their Secondary power options. I'll probably finally make a Robots Mastermind. And I'll probably have a Stalker and/or Brute.

I have no current plans to move anything. I'm gonna do the new content first and then see I reckon.

Im moving 2 toons to hero side. one is themed one is cos heroes still have more merits then villains so ill be using heroes to gain merits.

my heroes all but 1 or 2 is moving to villains

I think a fair chunk of my villains will just go up one step, to Rogue or whatever they're called so that they can enter Paragon and join missions there. I play Virtue so it's pretty easy to get a team Blue Side without the need to start my own (that's the way I understand it works anyway, right?).

The only hero I have US side (I much prefer Red ATs at the moment) will probably stick where she is.

I've never thought to compare the two number-wise, but Nerva must be much less "long" than Indy Port. I can't recall once going into IP without grimacing while traversing it (one of the things that put me off TP for good, btw), yet I have never minded the Nerva north hops.

Perfect example of what makes redside so much better (in my opinion, yes) than blue.

So, it looks like: Yes, a lot of people will be moving all their villains to Paragon. But most of them are people who don't like villainside enough to play their villains currently anyway.

Wow! Fast moving thread.

Anyhow, to the OP, even before some of the announcements like the market merger, I was planning maybe 1 toon from each side to experience the content of switching. If it was really fun or some other game change comes up, maybe another couple of toons. I like where my toons are and like the content on both sides (actually red side slightly better).

I saw a few other posters state this, and concur that I don't believe a mass exodus will happen either.

The villains may head to the city but the heroes will head to the isles. There is a lot of content over there for blue 50's that are looking to get their freak on. MM's and stalkers are going to clean up the city though.

I would say I enjoy both sides equally so have no plans on abandoning one side or the other.

Most of the toons that will be switching side will be done for concept/story reasons and my current plans for side switching:
* Nature's Release - Ice/Cold controller who will go Vigilante. She has always had a rather violent streak in her.
* Charlie Bright - Traps/DP defender who will go Vigilante. He's a hired gun with a conscious.
* Greg Wise - AR/TA corruptor who will go Vigilante. Another hired gun with a conscious
* Mind's Arrow - Mind/TA controller will go Villain. The character had become a bit static so I decided to move his story on by saying he got captured and brain washed by Arachnos.
* Operative Michaels - SoA who will go Hero. He was disalusioned by Arachnos so has defected.
* Little Devil Fairy - Demon/Poison MM who will go Rogue. She is just a chaotic character who isn't really evil or good.
* Apocalyptic Jester - Illusion/Rad controller (retconned from Ill/FF) will go Vigilante. She has always been destined for that!
* Tristar Phoenix - PB who will go Vigilante. He has trouble keeping his anger in check.
* Karhu Varjo - DM/Fire Brute who will go Rogue. He is semi controlled by a demon so it is really the demon doing the bad stuff and his human self doing the good.
* Shadow Mercury - DM/DA Scrapper who will go Vigilante. He is another character that has always destined to be in the grey area of morality.
* Poison Araneae - Night Widow will go Rogue. He is a hired assassain really so doesn't care who he works for.
* Tricky Illusion - Illusion/TA controller will go Rogue. He was originally thief but isn't all that bad so fits Rogue best.

I think there are one or two more but can't remember them off the top of my head.

I've also got about 9 or 10 new toons planned for Praetoria of various ATs which will go both red and blue side.

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

Yes, they can. They just can't start off as Praetorians, so they have to get to level 20 and then go through the morality system to gradually switch sides.

Hmmm.... based on the responses in this thread, I don't think imagining that would do any good. Doesn't seem a likely scenario since the general response seems to indicate that just as many people (if not more) will be moving TO Red Side as will be moving AWAY from Red Side.

Well I have a few heroes who will make the jump over to redside, purely to get ahold of Soul Mastery, as I find Soul Mastery to generally have the better looking hold.

RaveSpider, my Elec/Thermal Corr, will be going Rogue for sure, as she's a thief/thrillseeker with heroic tendencies.

I'll likely make some Praetorians, who I won't call Praetorians, just to have my Primal Earth Stalker hero, right off the bat.

Most of my existing characters will stick to the side they're on (I have a roughly equal number of heroes and villains). One or two will go grey, but I don't think any will cross over completely.

I also have a bunch of placeholder characters that have been waiting in the wings for the last couple years - they will switch as soon as possible (and/or start Praetorian).

I went through Tuesday, and deleted all my toons, both Heros and Villains from Virtue (not before pooling their cash and other worthwhile resources, of course), and created one new hero and one new villain. Both of them are probably staying where they are. When GR comes out, I will likely be creating two more for the express purposes of playing on opposing sides--A controller who will end up Red Side, and a Mastermind who will end up Blue Side.

The remaining slots will be used as the urge hits me and could end up going blue or red. I imagine that they will end up being fairly evenly split.

This is how I feel as well. Making Vigilantes and Rogues allows the most freedom without sacrificing the nature of the character much. Making the darker characters Rogues is harder for me, since most of mine are quite dark, than making heros Vigilantes. I don't have any pure hero-types as is.
