    I try to keep my number of Alt's down to 100 at all times. Otherwise, I look like an altoholic.

  4. The villains may head to the city but the heroes will head to the isles. There is a lot of content over there for blue 50's that are looking to get their freak on. MM's and stalkers are going to clean up the city though.

    Character Bios

    100+ characters have bios. The concept comes first and then the biography starts to form. From there the power sets are chosen and possible archetypes are listed. Then build process starts, matures and possibly respecified after power combination and play style are tested. The costume is an on going thread through out the method.

    Red-side Corruptors leading at 8.

    Most fun would be Offenders.

  11. lol DeS_Tructive, before I run off and respec my 2nd build just for that, my best one is changing into a Void Hunter costume pulling out a Confiscated Beanbag Rifle and sneaking up on Sunstorm. Hilarity ensues when heroes try to target me and activate powers to save Sunstorm.

    Plus, I'm glad I can finally talk about this. I was always hoping for numbers one day, but pohsyb's User Configurable Buff-o-Meter is something I never thought we'd have until not too long ago. It might be the closest we ever get to debug mode in the game.

  16. First off Thanks on behalf of those that read this and do not reply. I've been looking forward to this post since you mentioned it.

    Posting for both sides would be nice to make the color readable. Posting it the sites you mention would also help others find it.

    The formula would have a higher comprehension return for language focused learners if the examples of the formula have the numbers replaced by the names. This would be a reverse example to the ones listed. Verbal learners would then read the equation as a sentence or pseudo code. I can't post an example yet. Ill have reply again or edit this later.

    I wonder if there is a way for the guide to be dynamic using the concepts of OOP, ASP or Wiki. Linking directly to the numbers in CoD. Those numbers may become as you alluded to 'out of date' per see.

    Does Hamidon have any attacks that are exclusions? Where some are unresisted? Nictus damage has a similar feature.

    Conversely I have seen the opposite happen more than once. A development team will tell you over and over that a particular thing just can not be done then a new guy shows up and all of a sudden he knows how to do it and it is simple and easy.

    I have also seen the original programmer come back to their own code and make the comment 'What was I thinking?'

    This is why using the full development method and documenting not only what was done but why and how is so important to maintaining good applications.

  20. Very good guide. Your point about smaller team is right on. Larger teams should use a chat server to keep of the pace and not run out of time.

    Depends if you have stamina and if you use flight in combat. If you have stamina and don't use flight in combat, you should be pretty safe just slotting flight for speed (unless you keep A LOT of toggles running).

    True, at that point slotting runs into the play style and power choices question. An kin/elec with no stamina running assault/tactics would be fine but also flight in combat would eventually run out of end unless you kept up the pace of play and threw transfusion at every mob successfully. However with a SoD bind in place set to Hover at every pause in flight would help conserve end. This would also give a limited knockback protection.

    To get back to your original post I will be using my free respect on my fire/dark corrupter to slot as you recommended.
  22. Great post. I saw a post recently that stated the longest range you could get out of flight would be to slot 2 endredux 1 flight speed. This coalesces with that. You don't get there the fastest but, you can go the farthest. Such is the way of end.

    Another great tip is to use Speed on Demand (SoD) binds. These will help auto manage your travel endurance in mission and out.



    Combat buffing, Transfusion, Increase Density, Twilight Grasp, Heal Other, Clear Mind, Radiant Aura, Aid Other, Aid Self, Warmth, Cauterize & Alkaloid are all burst effects and do not have time limitations. Since time is a major factor in the endurance math I exclude them from endurance reductions. As always ymmv.
