What's your Buzzkill?

The part that really bugs me is it is unscheduled and furthur infomration cannot be found in the forums like it says in the post.
The question is in the title. When you're playing CoX, what kills your enjoyment the most and makes you want to just take a break for awhile?
Reason I ask is because I was on an 8-man team earlier today and the leader insisted that we fight +0 council mobs. Imo, that's fine when you're trying to gauge the effectiveness of your PuG, but he kept it through every mission; and MAN was it boring. I think I stuck with the team for maybe 3 missions until I decided to leave and find another, but when I did quit, I just felt like...ugh. Anyways, that's just one of my buzzkills; don't get me started on rogue fire/kins. |
On a larger scale, after running the office, the warehouse, the laboratory, the sewer, and the cave ad nauseum, I'm ready for a break for a month or two. Part of the reason I look forward to GR is to see new maps. Hopefully, that doesn't mean new skins on old maps.

And it just happened tonight, UGH! I do not see any forum posts about server maintenance tonight.

The accidental +4 Numina I was on once was pretty grueling. Somehow we managed to finish it, but ugh. I'd had more than enough by the time we were done.
Finding the last glowie or mob used to be a major buzzkill for me, especially when I just couldn't find the stubborn thing. Thankfully that's not a problem anymore.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Malta Sappers. I hate their stupid stupid Endurance-stupid-flooring perma-stupid-Stunning stupid faces which are stupid and also stupid.
They can floor my Level 50 Brute when she's got her godmode running! Any other faction needs an Elite Boss with exceptionally cruel power selection to pull that, stupid Malta just needs the right stupid Minion! I never do missions against Malta any more. I simply refuse to put up with stupid Sappers being all stupid.
So yeah, stupid Sappers are my buzzkill. Although I'm not fond of the Carnival of Shadows with their sap-on-death and their phasing Master Illusionists either.
BackAlleyBrawler: I can't facepalm this post hard enough.
ShoNuff: If sophisticated = bro-mantically emo-tastic, then I'm going to keep to my Shonen loving simplicity dammit.
Nothing actually in CoX can buzzkill me. Players behaving like immature buttwipes can, but I just avoid them after I run into them.
Dec out.

After I make a new character and try to get a Sewer team going. If it doesn't start off well then I get real cranky.
Whining about everything since 2006.
Ammo switching for Dual Pistols was my idea:

Back to topic...
Another thing for me is knockback. I can't count how many times I've been on my tank and had just gotten the mob nicely packed, then wham! Bodies everywhere; leaving me muttering to myself "darnit...sigh."

the one thing that kills my COX fun, is greifing attitude from some players.....
and another thing that spoils a bit of my fun (but no to the point to take a break), is the "pls let me herd" attitude of some tanks, on smoking-hot, "train-kept-a-rolling" teams

Sound loops when I'm loading a new zone. For some reason I am very prone to them post-June. It got so bad one night that I started asking my friends in Vent to send me an empty tell just so the new sound would break the sound loop and I could load the zone.
Large, kill-all maps with wanderers.
"Hey, wow, I can tank this whole zone at once if I need to, but instead I'm backtracking over the same, already explored area for the 5th time looking for another damn robot lodged under a catwalk. Wheee. Nothing is better than fighting 700 even level minions 3 at a time."
A lot used to bother me. I have either grown used to it or just accepting of how hard it can be to make one of these games and most importantly please everyone. I now have sympathy for the devs and what it takes to make it all work.
If i can think of one thing that buzz kills me its my wife makin me talk about the color of the sheets or some othere inane thing at 9pm when im in the 3rd misson of an (insert tf here)
NEG rep here please----->
My buzzkill is random tells. Not every random tell mind you, but people who send tells like "team?" or "lft", since I invariably get 2 or 3 at a time. What does that MEAN? Are they asking me to join them? Are THEY looking for a team? Does it actually mean "Lugubrious Freakshow Tentacles" instead of looking for team? Sentence structure is your friend, people!

What a letdown!
Does it not show the final missing hostage, as opposed to a glowie or the last critter that requires defeating? I /bugged it, so I guess I will find out in a bit.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Timed mission versus Malta in Oranbega. There's the fun kind of stress, and then there's THIS.
ANY of the "blue" caves (especially with the layered room).
Outleveling a story arc right before the last mission. Does this still happen?
And #1 is....
Contact sends me 2 zones away to talk to someone. I talk to them. They send me back to the Contact. The Contact sends me back to the zone I was just in for the mission(!?). We have backwards-engineered Rikti Tech, but we can't even use our bleeping cell phones? I understand when I have aquired the physical MacGuffin, that I need to take it somewhere. I just hate stupid "Go talk to Frank." missions.
"We must warn Captain Super right away! Go see him in China!"
"I could just text him..."
"THERE'S NO TIME!"

Also, really steamrolling teams. I like the team to have a little trouble. Not constant teamwipes, but if all I need to do is walk forward and try to hit an AoE now and then before four Shield Charges and two Rain of Arrows hit, I'd be getting a more challenging and interactive time by playing Pong.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
One thing that annoys me but is not really a buzzkill is when people insist on gathering everyone for buffs. Yes, it's one thing to do so before you fight the big bad... but every 90 seconds? Seriously? Here's a thought : STAY TOGETHER. Then it won't frickin' matter when you throw one off.
