So. Commander, you got Bug Hunter twice? One for Ouro and one for bases?
-
I haven't seen the video posted yet, so I haven't been able to track back to take another look at the super-secret screen that Zwill flashed up. Anyone get a look?

Quote:D'oh! In my laughter, I didn't even realize! I'm glad he's here appreciating the praise. The poster you quoted? He's actually the guy who wrote it!
And yeah, it is a really fun story. Me likey! -
Quote:This very idea made me laugh really, really hard.Personally, if this were to have any lasting effect in game, I was thinking it be the birth of "The Gladys Brittlehips Strike Force", but that's just me!
Devs: Great writing on this story. I look forward to each chapter! -
After reading the overview, I just want to give a Dr. Sam Beckett "Ohhhhh boy!"
-
This looks like a fun and interesting set. I'm looking forward to giving it a try, which says a lot since I usually play blasters.

Quote:I like this idea. A cartoon fx power would be a lot of fun. Barring the storage increase, I could see this fitting in the game.Toon Melee
Powers would include hitting your enemy with a giant mallet you pull from nowhere, conjuring safes/anvils/grand pianos to fall on targets, a 3 second delay before falling after you walk off a cliff, and the ability to move through walls leaving a hole in the shape of your silhouette.
Toon Melee users would also have unlimited salvage and recipe capacity due to hammerspace. -
I remember the day (back in '81, I think) when our family got a Commodore VIC-20. Half the street came over to witness this new technological wonder. When we later upgraded to a C64, my father built a monitor stand with three cartridge slots. You could have three different games in, flip the switch for the one you wanted and off you'd go. Moving from a cassette drive to a floppy was big news, living in the future!
A building I work in now was formerly the US headquarters of Commodore. I smile whenever I remember that at work. -
Quote:No, you don't have to join Twitter. The COH Twitter page can be accessed via browser like any other webpage. Bookmark it and refresh/read it when you like. So, I see a few issues with the whole Twitter thing.
1.) You have to sell out and join twitter. For some, that is a big deal.
Now, for certain smartphone apps, you may need to sign in with an account. Chances are, however, that any given device has a browser that you can pull up the page, account-free. -
Keep in mind that you don't have to subscribe to Twitter to see the posts. Following with a Twitter account with may get you quicker access, sure, but you can bookmark the COH Twitter page and check in on a browser to see the same exact posts a Twitter account holder would see.

I tuned in about the middle of this week's show. I found the video quality (watching on my PC) to be much better. Fired it up full screen, which I never did with good results on Ustream, and enjoyed the Water Blast demonstration. So far, I think the switch to Twitch was a good decision.

This is why I hate Neal Kendrick, in Bricks. I won't take missions off that guy.

This was the only way I could complete the mission. Mapserved out every time I used the AOEs on decent sized groups.

Quote:Ah, Brass Monday. This is the kind of Nemesis invasion I want to experience. I believe that the hindrance to this has always been the amount of new artwork needed to portray a 1932 Paragon City. Perhaps if they tie it to a future event/issue, maybe the resources can be allocated to make it happen. Oh well, one can dream...I LOVE this- I always wanted a Oro TF where you fight during Brass Monday, this will suffice for now
Edit: right after I posted, http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/n...en_thunder.php popped up. Oh my. -
Quote:This is exactly how I would summarize Boomtown. All of these years since the Rikti attack and it's still a wasteland? This zone is ripe for a revamp - even if a "we're starting to rebuild" motif, a la Faultline, is in play.Boomtown is just obvious because it's easily one of the deadest zones. There's literally nothing there but badges, Babbage, and the occasional door mission or hunt.
If we're seeing Penelope Yin grow up, let's witness the passage of time on our city, too. -

I just saw her and she was identified as Monster.
