yah, we used to have a lot of non-grim/evil looking basic faces, now we have, like, 3.

Also, we used to have a TON of domino-style face masks, now we have like, three.

I'd like all that stuff back.

Wings do not use the cape systems. As far as i know only capes, trenchcoats, wedding tuxedo jackets, and the witch bolero use the cape system. Wings and animated tails use an animation rig more like what arms and legs use.

Dr. Todt's theme.

This mask, which according to the costume text files is called "Mask 1". It differs from the currently available masks in that the mask does not cover the chin and lower jaw.

There were also a bunch more masks labeled "Mask 2", "Mask 3", etc. Some of those got renamed when the new masks were put in, but I doubt this was the only one left out.

The "Witch Bare" option for the female form was available for monstrous legs back when the Magic Booster was introduced ... At some point this combo was made unavailable.

Would be nice to have that back and to be able to add to and/or edit other items onto that character's costume.

For a short while on Test, Soldiers of Arachnos(the Huntsman/Bane/Crab kind) were able to go helmetless. That is, they were able to be in full Arachnos armor without the helmet. This was great! Then the feature was removed and it never went live. It would be very very nice to have this back!

Also as someone mentioned earlier in the thread: when using Ultra Mode, the secondary patterns on most Shield types don't show up. I think this is due to a bug and not a "taken away" costume piece, but I figure it fits enough to mention here.

Agree on wanting the pirate shirt and the fur shoulders back, regardless of if it's supposed to be a Woodsman unique piece.

While you're working on this stuff, I also urge you to take a look at gender parity for costume parts. Perhaps it warrants yet another thread, "All Things Art: Gender Parity"? But there are a lot of things Females have that Males/Huge don't, and vice-versa.

Here's what I'll cast my hat for that's already been mentioned: Wings+Bolero/Trench/coattails, Fur shoulders, legacy thigh-highs, and a new suggestion:
Can we get the old Glowing Eyes face back but tweaked with the new glow rig you used on the Bioluminescence and Organic Armor sets?

Hello, my name is @Caligdoiel and I'm an altoholic.

If you do nothing else, please bring back the old-style thigh-high boots. The current ones look terrible and the old ones were great.

Is this the thread where I ask them to bring back nipples/areolas on the female body models?

Seriously, they changed the Tights-Stiletto look at some point to add in a "sole" on the bottom of the foot. I'll have to take screen shots but I preferred the old way (which I still have on a character).

Yes, the first one, on my favorite character. It looked more like a hairstyle before; now it's flat against her head. I was never happy with that change.

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

David, did you know that there used to be moving hair in the CoH beta? I'm not sure if you'd be able to find it now, but adding in new moving hair would be acceptable too.

Not sure if this is the kind of thing you are after, David, but the old knee level split in the pants allowed for variations that we do not have now using current patterns. Had to do with the stretching and location. Was wondering if that compressed pattern, possibly even with the split pattern could be re-established. Here an example of the pants-baggy-stripe 3 pattern, current on left, old on right (at the time 5 years ago, I was trying to find a way to simulate chaps):

There also used to be a star pattern, identical to the boot "star" pattern below, that you could get on the lower half of the pants.

The original version of the bobcut hairdo for females. I've always hated the current one. There were lots of complaints when it was replaced because someone thought it was too high.

Not a lost item, but the panels skin has never been fixed since it was broken - the back and front don't meet properly.

Also, the Arachnos logo on the full widow catsuit costume still doesn't meet properly. There's a large part of the logo missing on the inside leg.

Oh, talk about miss the obvious. What about all those parts that the NPC Cimmerora women are using? We had them briefly then they were taken away. Also I think there were a few male pieces that were accidentally added but them pulled.

Oh and don't forget about the Malaise pants. Those are proper old school and have been lost in the mists of time as far as I recall.

It even showed up on Live, briefly, and yeah, it showed there was no real restriction in offering helmetless Wolf Spiders. Please give us helmetless Wolf Spiders. *puppy-dog eyes*

And I'll throw in another vote for "legacy non-shiny metallic, etc". My problem with the shiny pieces is that the shiny versions wash out their colors really badly. And considering that I have three (and soon to be four) versions of the same cyborg that uses the metallic texture extensively, I'd love to keep her look as-is.

(a bit off topic, sorry)

No screen shots, and I don't think we have ever had this but, it would be nice to have a few variations of an "Abe Lincoln" beard.

The Task Force Commander accolade briefly unlocked a pair of shoulder epaulets. Essentially the same as the two spiked epaulets except... um, without the spikes. The normal epaulets vanished from the game a while back, for no discernible reason. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one NPC wearing them.

Several people mentioned the wrapped head option. There's an NPC in the game who uses this head, if you need a reference. On Dmitri Krylov's mission "Defeat Experiment 236 and Witnesses", the titular Experiment 236 is using the wrapped head. It'll be very hard to see since it's black on black and 236 is on fire, but you could always look at his costume pointers, I guess.

Also, I'm pretty sure the fur shoulders were not yanked because of Woodsman. The "Monstrous Fur" torso option gave you something like five different variants of monster fur, not just what Woodsy is wearing.

Dr. Shelly Percey is wearing some clear glasses that I swear up and down used to be available to players. At some point, they were replaced with the Sunglasses option we have now. I can't prove it, and everyone else thinks I'm crazy, though.

I suspect this was a glitch where one of the current miniskirt patterns got twisted so the side-seams showed up in front and back instead. I didn't realize it at the time and so I thought it was an awesome wrap skirt. To me, it looks more like a real skirt than the version we have now with the seams down the sides. I would love to have this back (or a version of it), as I've had to change this toon since then, so she lost it.

I still have it, and I would love to be able to put it on other characters, it came out awesome

The other thing is that when I4 hit, the "Jackets" option came in (this is also when the split pants patterns disappeared), and the old Female, Male, and Huge suit jackets were removed.

They were not replaced with anything that was good (but hey, you could layer them!!).

This, a thousand times, this.

That's still an incredibly dumb reason. You can pretty much recreate Sister Psyche in game. Those fur shoulder pads are a really cool costume piece.

Incidentally, Females still have access to the split patterned pants, using "Tight Pants" as the bottom (Please don't take this away because I'm pointing it out to you. Instead give it back to everyone.):

I've seen a few examples posted on other threads, but let's consolidate that information here if possible.

Thanks for your help, and with a little luck, perhaps we can get some of these items back for you.
I am sure they have been mentioned but here is a short list of the ones I recal I liked that I thought we where getting or disapeared after Beta of some sort.
Shone as part og the midnighters issue but then not given to us-
Dedealus's Helm
Imperious' cape/should piece
Where part of the CoV expansion durring beta but then miraculously not in the final product-
Blindfold w/o chains or barbwire
Bandaged "Darkman" like face
back symbol option (I'd like to see Shoulders too)

I don't know if my Search-fu is weak, or if this is a lost costume piece. I recently made a character with a jacket with what appeared to be an Asian Dragon design. I kinda liked that design. Could I have it back?
