That's terrible, having the prompt pop out every single time was extremely frustrating.
Also the fact it has a somewhat short time to accept it, and like it was already said, having the prompt pop up during fight is just bad and very annoying.

I'm very disappointed at this change.
Make an option to auto-accept or don't change back.

I don't like the popup either. But there are many different buffs and things that other players can do to you, and it's not reasonable to have a different option to control every one of them.

Probably the best and easiest thing to do long term would be to make it affect team members only -- you can't spam everyone you see. That way you can tell people when you join the team you don't want it. The mechanism to do this may already be there, since powers like Teleport only work on team members.

Thank you for addressing this issue. It will be nice once more to be able to decline the buff if I should choose to do so.

Thanks very much for the hard work on this.

On the subject of Irony... I find it quite ironic that when I first complained about taking away our choice to accept, I was jumped on so hard that my bones were ground to dust...

To add to said Irony... I am now one of the people who doesn't want the pop up! (Although I had created a bind to the "y" and "n" key to compensate for it.. so I'll just use them again.)

  • Midnighter Club – Fixed a bug that sometimes caused characters to get stuck in the ground when moving between the Midnighter Club and Cimerora. The previous fix stopped working as soon as a player took a pet through the portal, and would not start working again until the shard was restarted.
Wouldn't it have been easier to just tell that player not to take their pet through the portal?

I'm very disappointed with this too, I was hoping for an option to auto-accept. having to hit yes every single time is annoying and it is really annoying when you already have the buff. I don't know how many times I've had it pop up when I already have the buff it gets real frustrating. I was hoping for an option to auto-accept.

while we're fixing costume issues, any chance on getting the shield patterns fixed any time soon?

No to the prompt. Hella annoying for it to pop up all the time.

In fact, just get rid of the stupid power all together. The buffs it offers are tiny and if I either have to deal with the prompt constantly popping up, or people whining that they got buffed and didn't want to be and those are my only two choices then I prefer to introduce a third choice.

get rid of the power completely.

if someone is doing that in the middle of the fight, then I'm inclined to say they're stupid for doing that instead of contributing to the fight.

I'm still missing the Warrior option on Females in the Bottoms category...

I, too, would like to see an "always accept mystic fortune buff" on/off switch in the options.

I don't mind the prompt because I know sometimes that -3 tohit debuff hurts; but also the +speed is really nice on some chars (peeps in Granite/etc).

I like the prompt.

But options wouldn't hurt.

Also it sounds like only one power that was incorrectly set to 16 was fixed? There were like a dozen. Grant Cover among them.

Once every twenty minutes is "all the time?" You guys do know you can just let the timer hit zero if you've already been buffed and the window will magically go away by itself, right?

And last time I checked, there's hardly any noise once you've been buffed by a fortune, unless you zone and hear the casting sound fx again. That can't be nearly as annoying as some of the other buffs.

More welcome bug fixes. Thanks, Devs, for the hard work.

Oh...noticed that only the Blackwand was mentioned. Did the Nemesis Staff get fixed as well? It was doing the same thing.

Thanks. Could someone check and see if this fixes the input lag in the Ice Mistral SF crystal room as well?

Has the male not having all the martial arts options as huge been fixed?

Of course, the people that want the pop-up probably felt the same way - that a few people have to ruin it for everyone else.

And the moment you do, every idiot that likes to make things difficult would take a pet through right away after the servers spun up.

Ugh. I certainly hope this is due to some technical issue, rather than the devs listening to the complaining of people who believe that being buffed is somehow griefing them.

Sorry, I was making a joke there (and showing my age). It's based on an old routine that went something like:

Man: "Did you know that every 15 minutes, a man gets hit by a car?"
Not so bright woman: "Oh, that poor man."

I was playing the part of "Not so bright woman" (and you people can keep those remarks to yourself! )

It's probably safer to not say whether I like the Mystic Fortune prompt or not; there seem to be a lot of people with very strong opinions on both sides. That said, I think the best option is to add an Option setting (and maybe corresponding buttons on the prompt) to choose "Always Accept" "Always Decline" or "Always Ask", so that everyone can be happy. Maybe even have a Crit/Overpower/Scourge/etc style popup that says "Declined" (that only the caster can see) when someone casts MF on someone who auto-declines, just so that you don't end up wasting time casting on them.

I still can't believe the Devs opened this can of worms by giving it a prompt in the first place. That was just begging for a player made civil war.

Oh, and yeah, I'm on the NO PROMPT, side of this argument. It's irritating, especially when fighting.

I'm glad the prompt is back. I hated when they took it away. It wouldn't have been so bad if the buff didn't make noise every few seconds. With that said, I really hope the Devs are planning on adding the option for people to set it to auto if they want. Then all we will have are the people that will complain that they wasted a buff on someone that rejected it.

I prefer a prompt that takes me a few seconds to click "no" on over being stuck with an unwanted buff for 20 minutes...

To be honest, most of the people I regularly play with have given up bothering with it, but it does seem to cause a lot of forum drama.

With all the whinging from both sides they may as well just remove the power from the game all together.

Can you imagine the drama if they did

Well you've just removed the best thing in I17.

Do NOT do this without adding a box to the options window to give people the choice whether to auto accept/auto decline/click to accept.

Can we get some clarification whether there is some technical reason for this, as I've only seen a very small number of people ask for it (less than have said they hate this change in this thread already).
