Do you ever feel shame at yourself for being so negative and giving up so easily. Or does your only joy just come from kicking other people when theyr'e down. I've seen your snide comments for years and I just want to take this moment to say STFU!

The End.......
Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, their father Lord White Gold and the rest of the sisters will bid farewell to Paragon City and head back to their home dimension of Arcania. Rose Gold, recently having been crowned the Queen will pause at the magical portal and look back over her shoulder, a tear running down her cheek as she glances at her dear friend Captain Fabulous of Guardian. Though he will no longer be able to access his magical armor, he will still fight the good fight for both justice and equality. The Golden Council will cease to exist but the safe Guard will absorb their many members with Suburban Myth leading them. Armageddyn will return to Asgard to take her place in the pantheon there. Though the heroes will leave, many will remember Armageddyn's words "that every sunset is followed by a new sunrise. And with that, when the light is gone, it all fades to black. -
I am truly disappointed in how this whole thing is being handled. They posted on FB info on the upcoming new content for i24 then a few hours later post THIS. I personally will never trust another NCSoft product... period! If they had any brains at all they would kill Aion (which turned out to be the real financial disappointment) or even better try to find a buyer for the CoH franchise who would actually care about it.

I'm just so heart broken beyond words. Please give us a way to save CoH!!!!

I appreciate the effort to put this whole thing together. And should in the future there be more of these "round table" type of events I will be more than happy to attend. One thing I DO hope you consider for future discussions is letting people outside of "key speakers" know what topics or bullet points will be discussed in advance. I was fully aware that we would be discussing how to make guardian server better, but at no point came across an itinerary of the specific topics. And I know that within my group who attended we all had that same feeling of being uninformed and unprepared. Letting us know how it would be structured in advance would have enabled us to better prepare.
Maybe it was just us or perhaps it was phraseology, but myself and my group became not only frustrated just trying to keep up with reading the chat but with understanding the specifics of the overview. I have to admit this lead to our attentions wandering a bit. Posting a "topics to be discussed" in advance would have given us an opportunity to ask what certain topics meant before hand, as well as opened up for people to have offered their services and prepare as key speakers. Again if this was actually done, many of us missed it, and if that is the case I apologize for the rhetoric.
Having said all that I do want to commend Omega on all the great work and monumental effort he put in. It was no small task, that's to be sure! I also hope that this will be the start of a semi-regular dialog that will only operate more and more smoothly with experience and time. -
Quote:I do completely see where you are coming from in this, but I believe Slazenger's point was about rewarding longevity and seniority as opposed to location. Truth is the player who had the global name first should have had it honored as that would have been the fairest thing to do. But since it's already said and done, it really does become a moot point.Because in the context of the conversation, the U.S. customers were 'local'. I was replying to Slazenger who was replying to a comment about: 'Paragon, being based in the US, was preferring the "home" players over the "away"'.
Slazenger compared the issue to a brick-and-mortar store. In that context, the "home" versus "away" becomes analogous to local versus internet/mail-order customers. -
Quote:I'm simply stating that your analogy was erroneous. You compared a local customer to a mail order one from across the pond...If that were true the issue in question wouldn't even have existed - there wouldn't have been servers specifically designated as "European" in the first place that needed to be merged when it became no longer cost effective to maintain them separately.

....to an American player who accesses a remote server owned by NC Soft vs a European player who accesses a remote server owned by NC Soft. While yes they may have accessed different server farms that were eventually merged, both players would technically be "mail order customers" using your analogy.

I just hope from some new content for lower to mid levels in the form of new story arcs. and mid level taskforces. Heck we prolly wouldn't even need new contacts. Just increase the possible stories given out by currently existing contacts.
Oh and am I the only one who thinks Redside desperately needs some TLC? Give it a new villain specific zone and enemy groups. I think it's only so barren because content gets old fast! When they redid Mercy, the place was packed! It makes no sense to keep building praetorian zones when the lore is leading to it's utter destruction. (...or so it seems) -
This comparison makes no sense at all. As for as NC Soft is concerned it's some guy accessing their severs from one location vs. some guy accessing their servers from a different location.

I agree 100% with Lothic. It's an easy solution and looks like a win win situation for everyone. I want the badges I've earned. I have zero problem with other people getting an extra one and would hopefully put the issue to rest for the devs.

[QUOTE=Golden Girl;4217434]I think that there's plenty of scope for stiff armers and anarchsits to carry on their evil antics after the war is over - but as Villains.
Actually mentioning anarchists gives me an idea. What if in the new Praetoria the resistance becomes Anarchists while the loyalists become something like the Patriots or Sovereignty. Think about it, with the fall of any dictator a new government is going to have to come into power. Seldom does this process ever go smoothly since every faction will think they are entitled to the "throne". -
Free is good. I can be humble enough to be grateful for something free.

Quote:It's called resource management. Without knowing their skill sets, one would think fixing something that is broken would take a priority over playing with things just for cosmetics sake.Because obviously the guy who names badges and the guy who codes powers are the perfect candidates for fixing a bug in the veteran reward system.
Quote:Yeah, this. Assuming these tasks are equal is beyond silly. For all we know the toggle thing wasn't even something anyone was working on but some happy accident someone realized while working on something completely unrelated.
it just highlights the complete lack of understanding some people have for the inner workings of design and development ;p -
Ok So I'll be that guy that complains. Many of us have been waiting for months to receive our annual vet badges. We've been told on more than one occasion that it's not a high priority to fix. While it may be cool that toggles don't drop after 15 or more minutes offline, this QoL upgrade was more important than a reward system that doesn't reward at all? I never really minded that the toggles weren't on when I loaded a character after a couple of days. It's just always been that way and I can't say I've really given it much thought. So I'm left to wonder, why is this toggle thing or say renaming a new badge something different a priority over fixing something that's been broken for months?

I've been getting mapserved every time I go to put an enhancement into my enhancement tables. I'll drop something in. mapserve for 5 to 10 seconds, then reconnect. It only happens when I first drop something too.

OK at the risk of sounding egocentric. I'm kind of annoyed my character didn't even get an honorary invite to join the FP but Penelope Yin got invited. As far as I'm concerned my character saved the world through 7 episodes.
And NO, Freedom Phalanx Reservist don't cut it, cuz I already had that LOL.

Quote:Actually in agreement with Congelateur, also by not lowering the costs for VIP, the marketers are missing a golden opportunity to cash in on convincing freebies and premies to go VIP. If they made it more cost effective to subscribe then people might be more inclined to shell out that $15 a month.the stipend is not a reward... it s a compensation for the game to be free and our subscription to stay at the same price... it s their genius to make you think it s a reward...
a reward would be to not pay the same price as the ones who don t pay a subscription... i don t ask for "free" as they did works "more" than before... but we don t have to pay the same price than the freebies, it s nonsense.
and again, it would cost them nothing...
Ah, remember the good old days when that $15 a month included everything we now have to save up points and pay extra for? Who knew booster packs would lead to this?
