Does anybody else collect temp powers?

Yeah, mark me down as another who aims for every available temp power and always refuses to use the last charge.

I am rather fond of temp powers myself. I always make sure that my villains get their Goldbricker pack, since it can't be had via flashback.

And one villain is really really proud of her most cherished temp, and likes to pull it out occasionally in hopes someone will ask how she managed to get this...



This was before the Vanguard base was open to all levels. So at the time, she had to get Field Crafter and then start a Snaptooth mission at pocket D so a hero could team with her and craft the wand inside the mission.

I feel the opposite. I delete ALL my temp powers because it bugs me in an OCD way to see a huge list of powers that I never use. :P

Edit: After reading a bit in the thread though, I was reminded that there is one kind of temp power I save, and that's summons. I love controlling an army of minions.

The only toon for me that has a temp power is my WP/WM Tank. He is a baseball player so he will always have the St. Louis Slammer on him. The others I don't go out of my way to get them. If I get them I get them and with how many temp powers recipes I have been getting I just been deleting most of them.

Yep I am a temp power collector. I usually craft/get the temp powers and never use them...just more for a collection for me

Although I have used some-to-most of the temp powers in general.

The worst part is when you do a respec and you have 4 trays of temp powers :/

I am a renlentless horder too. I guess it come from old Square games, where I always ended up with loads of Mega-elixers in the final boss battles. My main from the early days has a massive list of temp powers now.

I don't collect them to collect them, but I'm loving how the new ones are rounding out some of my characters. Hand Grenades and Pistol really added to the flavor my AR/Dev WW II military hero Sergeant Shatter, for instance.

I collect them based on the theme. My mage collects all the magic temps, while my merc, get all the weapons he can.

I don't consciously hoard them, but I'm paying more attention now that the temps are dropping more frequently. I focus on the ones that help fill a void in my character's capabilities. For example, I'm collecting ranged attacks for my BS/Regen scrapper to give him more flexibility.

Prior to this, I focused on the ones that beefed up my solo characters in tough fights (i.e. summoning War Wolves, Snow Beasts, etc.).

I generally don't, but one I always seem to want to have Hero side, just to have, is the Firefighter pack. Either one. Don't care.

I especially like defeating a firey demon and then stand near him (or her?) with the pack on, and take a picture.

/yes, I'm easily amused. So?

Top temp powers for me:

• The new recovery serum - GREAT for AV/GM fights on a small team
• Radio Backup - helps out the low levels greatly against a hard boss
• Jetpack - until i get the veteran reward to fly at level 6
• Snowball
• Wedding band
• All the nukes

I dont know what you guys are talking about. I dont hoard all the temp powers that I have ever gotten only to use them for cosmetic purposes. Crazy People :P

I don't pick up EVERYTHING normally. Some small stuff, like temp pets and the like (THE LOA BONE BABY!) I tend to go out of my way for. The pets are sometimes nice because you can force-multiply fairly quickly that way. This way, if you come up against a show stopper, get out of aggro range, dump all your pet powers, the CHAAARGE! They don't always last long, but they DO take a GOOD chunk out of the enemy.


I'll have one Widow that should (eventually) have everything red-side, as the plan is to take her through ALL the content that's doable.

I'm liking the new temp power recipes, even though I think their drop rate is way too high. I've been leveling a new WM/SD brute, and mailing a few things like Grenades and Revolvers from my other toons has made the low levels a breeze.

I've been in this game four years and it's VERY weird to see people saying the drop rate of anything is too high.

No, please, no! Don't give me free stuff!

Yes, but people have been getting both, indicating they're not in the same pools.

With the new temp powers in i17, I decided to make my fourth tray my "utility belt"

I had planned on making that entire tray full of Hand Grenades, only to remember that you can't duplicate a temp power that you already have until you use it all.

I'm hoarding the Void Hunter Rifle from Psimon Omega's arc so I can show it to some random Kheldians!

Yes, I do collect temp powers aswell. Not as much as badges, but I do collect any temp power I can get that will stay in the inventory until used up.
