Sigh... am I bad person for choosing the red ending, I really wanted to see Shep make it through, Geth and EDI be damned (bummed about that though) - while it doesn't implicity imply that he survives I like to think he does.

I'm on my 3rd play through and I think I might go with the blue ending this time, with the extended cut it gives the blue ending a sort of "ascend to godhood" kind of vibe - not happy with that mind you, I'd just like an ending with Shep grabbing a parachute and making one helluva HALO jump right into London.

Also gotta try the do nothing ending as well.

You can provided the car has enough momentum and there are the right breaks in traffic. Turn signals and emergency flashers are helpful as well.

The trick is to maintain momentum and avoid maneuvers that cost you that momentum like hitting the brakes and making abrupt turns or lane changes then spread you lane crossing out. This is all moot though if you have the space to just zip over and into the emergancy lane which then leads to....

Power steering might be a pain as well as power brakes but given a reasonable amount of space this isn't a big challenge.

The biggest danger in a situation like this are inattentive or unaware drivers followed by drivers who cannot judge speed correctly ( all drivers to some degree frankly).

Yep, the golden rule definetely applies to going fast. I've got an odd rear factory tire size and BFGoodrich quit making that rear tire so its either go back to the 1st gen GYF1 tires (absolutely craptacular) or drop some coin on new rims and get the Michelins I really want... sigh... 3600.00 bucks later that is.
  4. Pffftttt.... just need to make it to Mars and then find out why Pluto's orbit is wobbling.

Sigh... your probably right, moreso than I would like to admit on an individual basis

They will probably work pretty good until somebody panicks and hits the manual control (witness Air France flight 447), Jalopnik (gawker media) ran a story where an autonomous car lapped (here is a different Wired story - http://www.wired.com/autopia/2010/03...ts-pikes-peak/ ) Infineon raceway IIRC than most drivers.

Pretty cool but as a guy who really likes to drive (yes, I am a mutant that derives pleasure from the actual act of piloting a car) I'm not a fan of autonomous cars. Although it will be nice on the highway when the majority of cars are autonomous and travel is very effcient - mayhap I64 in SE Va will actually work like its supposed to.

Yeah its all fun and games until the cat pisses on the cranial spike and then its zombie time, and you know cats are just waiting until there is a cranial spike critical mass out there. They do that, they plan, they wait, then they strike.

Just taking this at face value but are you suggesting we have evolved ina relatively short time to the point where humans are completely reliant on technology to survive?

Forgot to specifically mention no SG base love... yeah that totally killed CoX Otherwise your list is pretty inclusive.

And nuke damnit! Here's to the level where Beefcake herded every last golden toilet on the level and all the rages I popped and the nuke that killed them all (when you could nuke everything in the old days)

Thank you guys for my fondest in game memory
  11. I'm there now, been enjoying Secret World right up to Egypt - definetly enjoy the atmosphere and the puzzle solving aspects of the game (even if I use cheats from time to time)

Will probably be my home MMO for the foreseaable future - Never could get into Champions and DC Online was a pleasant diversion but I will really mis CoX and with it the ability to flesh out my toons in both costume and bio (something I really hate about TSW - no bio space - damnit my character has at least 1024 characters of story to tell)

And there is still Mass Effect 3, Skyrim and Minecraft to keep me busy as well.

Which reminds me, I need to take some full body mugshots of all my CoX characters and burn'em to a disc along with their bios and store them with my D&D characters just so I can dig'em out every once and awhile and read'em.

So what are you guys gonna do as the end draws near? I think a big ol' computer busting group pic is in order as the lights dim and go out.

Also been saving a warburg nuke for something special, seeing as how after november 30th there will be no more warburg nukes, I would be glad to use it on some sort of 'splody send off for CoH.

Or whatever they are calling their generic online currency - as the saying goes you'll probably be able to get your money back when you pry it from their cold dead hands

Hope I'm wrong though given the length of your sub, I certainly hope you get a refund rather than some cheesey offer.

Yes, and the opposite is euphemistically called a "right to work place" when it should actually be called a "right to fire place".

Anyways thats neither here nor there.

I hope from the 23 to the 30 we will have the mother of all events as I'd rather go out blasting my *** off right up until they hit the switch!
  16. Yep, was getting resub for the year in october anyway - be glad to give that money to you if your going to keep the lights on

Thats true, but perhaps they could just go the Blue Thunder route (man that was a cool movie and IIRC one of the inspirations for Airwolf)

I wonder how well a Blue Thunder type TV show would work today? The movie's conspiracy premise certainly wouldn't be to out of touch.

edit --> Huh didn't know there was a Blue Thunder TV series (only 11 airings), was checking Netflix to see if they had the movie down for streaming.
  19. A reboot would be cool, but I fear the show would try and top the previous airwolf in some ridicuolus way like an all polymetal allow chopper powered by unicorn farts so that it cleanses the atmosphere saving whomever from certain doom.

To be honest, I'd rather just see a next next gen helicoptor as a rebooted Airwolf (that would probably be pretty wild) with a focus on characters and good story telling.
  20. Cool, Farscape is up there - although that reminds me of my Gigi Edgley is so damn hot in pasty grey and white make-up fetish.
  21. Bumped into this awhile ago either stumbling through links posted here or maybe somebody posted it directly, but yeah, think I'll be checking this out when it hits.
  22. Man, I'm running in to the same problem (originally posted this under "Paragon Market Greyed Out"

I've dug up the hosts file and opened it in notepad but its empty except for a few comments.

I checked the link provided by Aggelakis and the page loads but the market still doesn't load (I tried cutting off various protections but to no avail).

I'm really at a loss as to what to do about it (should I delete my entire CoH folder and do a fresh install??)
  23. Still just a grey screen for me - I certainly hope its some sort of maintence as frustrating more or less just touches the tip of the iceberg.

Every other tab works fine (well except for the cart tab which is grey too)? I wonder if windows or malware or something else is blocking the store?
  24. I seem to be running into a problem when I que up the Paragon Market - the market browser(?) is greyed out when I attempt to use the market tab, however when say I go to my account tab it loads just fine?

Its been a bit since I've been on (RL + plus other games) but IIRC this occurred to me about a month or so ago and I just chalked it up to maintence or something else?
