Asian Players: Yes And No.
Okay.
no i DO NOT want to buy ur gold sir!
erm...to be fair if you're not even getting your own proper boxed copies of the game with server languages designed for you...they're probably not considering you a market. They barely bother with the EU market as it is, so a region where they saw their one attempt to crack sink like a lead balloon...they're grateful you've got the game but you're obviously buying US editions aren't you? Or is there a specific edition in your language DKellis?
Welcome to how the EU feels, really =/
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Hello! I'd say 'welcome!', but you've been here ages obviously.
But nice to see that our game has players so far away (I'm in Poland, but use the NA servers too).

Yes, you *are* all Magical Schoolgirls in short skirts?
No, you will not share your delicious steamed pork buns?

I'm a Brazilian player.
There are lots of Brazilians who play (but most are on Freedom) and I could team with them all day if I wanted or get free PLs (but I almost never PL my toons). They are very good players (the vet ones at least) and one of them even has a purpled out human Warshade who can farm fast at +4/x8 with bosses (I've seen it).
The problem is that most don't speak/write English so mixed teams usually doen't end up very well.
And we have normal-priced gamecards here via a Brazilian web store, so very easy to find/buy in 30 seconds (although I pay via credit card in the ncsofct website). It's strange you guys don't get normal-priced timecards.
And we don't care if advertisement gives a **** about us

You didn't answer the most important question: Will you help us with our math homework?
I'm from Hong Kong, and now in US. I think Hong Kong holds some kind of gaming convention every year.

Some have seen me discuss this in-game, and i've also contacted Avatea about it.And that new red-name from Marketing.
Oh,Kioshi,speak for yourself.I have a great english

Ok,might not be great,but...well...

I live in America and have a hard time asking for NCSoft time cards. None of the stores around me stock them (Inland Empire area, east of LA). One clerk at a Gamestop rolled his eyes and tell me condescendingly that NCSoft just recently announced that they accept Visa cards and I should ask my bank for one. Then they proceed to yell at me as I walk out that Banks are buildings that have money in them.
Getting blank stares from a clerk isn't the worst response. Jerks are everywhere.

I feel that the Asian gaming market "should", at least in my opinion, be more strongly reached. I also feel as though the game itself could use a bit more advertisement in general, but go figure. I'm not a marketing exec. and I'm not that savy with economics, but I would surmise that reaching our Eastern friends (including the EU of course) would be great for profits and for other Asianic players all ready enjoying the game.
My 7 and a half cents.

I just like teaming with good players nothing else really matters.

Yes, we are here.
Yes, we live in Asia, East or South or whatever.
No, not all of us are Australian or Kiwi.
No, we're not all RMT spammers. We hate them as much as you do.
Yes, we can speak English. Maybe not as a first language, but we can speak it.
No, not all of us can speak Korean. Yes, we've heard of City of Hero, which was in Korean.
Yes, we have friends we'd like to bring into the game.
No, we don't always play free-to-play/grindy/phat-lewtz Korean games.
No, we have seen nothing in recent times that makes us think we have any sort of presence in Marketing's eyes.
Yes, we have, on store shelves, boxes for the game. Specifically CoV boxes. Not Architect Edition, not GvE. CoV boxes.
Yes, we have timecards. No, timecards are not easy to find, and they are often mis-priced; WoW timecards are 60 days and priced accordingly, while NCSoft timecards are 30 days, but priced like WoW 60-day timecards. Yes, I have tried to correct the stores, despite being met with blank stares.
No, US-based advertising will probably not reach us.
No, conventions in the US do not matter to us. Not all of us can afford the time and money for plane tickets (and not the short hops from one US locale to another, but intercontinental, likely halfway across the world) to attend.
No, advertising on sites that are region-locked to the US for the most part (off the top of my head, Hulu and Pandora) will not reach us.
Yes, we know we're not as populous as the US playerbase. Yes, we are aware that we're usually just lumped in the US population, since we use the US client.
No, we have no idea if we're under any sort of consideration from Marketing, and if so, how much.
Yes, we'd like to know.
