  2. Well, I don't know what happened, but the game works now. I tried it on a lark around 1 pm today, even though the NCSoft Launcher said the game wasn't installed. Just figured I'd give it a shot. But I'll give your advice a shot too after I get off work tomorrow morning if I'm still having hiccups.
  3. See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
  4. Downloaded the Helper, ran it, and got a window with red circle, a white 'X' in the middle of it. The window said:

    "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

    Value was either too large or too small for an Int32."

    And then I can open details and it seems to be another huge log file. Suggestions?
  5. Well, since the mods haven't deleted this yet, here's how I spent my day yesterday:

    I took all day and deleted anything from NCSoft & CoH, and started fresh. It took till midnight last night to download and then attempt to install the game. I say attempt, because when I woke up this morning, I found this in an error box:

    "The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files\NCSoft\City of Heroes\~PS\PatchProgress.xml' because it is being used by another process."

    And no matter how many times I try to reinstall the game, that same message pops up along with a LONG log file.
  6. I know I've been gone a while, but what the heck is up with all the "bad input" messages I keep getting? I just wanna copy & paste, you stupid message board!
  7. And now I'm getting a "bad input" message while trying to finish putting my DxDiag in. *sigh*
  8. Well, that's because Winky hasn't shown up to say how bad it is.
  9. Exactly WHY are there no children anywhere in Paragon City? We have teens, at best, but no children wandering around. Come to think of it, where are all the schools in Paragon? I haven't come across one of those either.
  10. A blender? Really? That's the best he could come up with? Man, what a cheapskate. If I was Manticore, I would have asked for a cloned Sister Psyche, or at least a Swan clone.
  11. The faces on the baddies look more realistic. The town does look prettier.
  12. This is better than Daytime Soaps & Maury Povich rolled into one.
  13. She sounds like a troll to me. Just make sure everyone knows her globals, and tell them she's not to be allowed near the VG ever again.
  14. Guess I'll be playing with both the music and sound off once again.

    I'm thinking injection, maybe because of the way Supa Trolls look like steroid freaks.
