City of Neo-- Wait, what?
I rerolled my AR/Dev blaster into aDP/Dev Blaster. Tumbleweed Jackson is inspired by this awesome comic:

I've pretty much nailed the costume but given him some muttonchops too. *Very happy with my new toon

I wonder if enough Western themed avatars being created would cause the devs to make a Western themed zone?

Hello devs, let's time travel to the old west.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I've been really pleasantly surprised by the creativity of the City of Heroes playerbase this evening. I expected to log in to see dozens of identical-looking gun foo artists in black latex, mirror shades, and trenchcoats made to use the dual pistols set.
There have indeed been quite a few of those, but what I've most noticed have been the cowboys. That's right. Six-gun totin', quick-drawin', outlaw-pluggin' cowboys. Some of them have been zombified. I've also seen space captains, pulp-era secret agents, cops, private detectives, silver-age vigilantes, bronze-age assasins, a clown, several gun-wielding robots, the requisite catgirls, Sentai 'Rangers', and a wide array of things that are NOT Neo and Trinity clones. Nice creativity, Heroes! |
What I'm struggling with right now is the urge to re-roll my AR blaster as a DP blaster. I've had great fun getting him to Level 30, but DP is just such a fun set to play...
On the other hand, I have a DP defender ready to go. She had been a Storm/Sonic defender, but I had a tough time playing her. I'm hoping that DP will revitalize my interest in her.
I came hoping for City of NeoPets... left disappointed.
I've had my zombie cowboy (well, ex-outlaw) hero for quite a while, but he's been an AR blaster. I'm rerolling him as DP, though--the revolvers suit him much better than a rifle and the Revolver temp power.
My new Dark/DP defender isn't a cowboy (he's got more of a magician look), but his guns are relics of the Wild West. They have a lot more backstory than he does.
The Way of the Corruptor (Arc ID 49834): Hey villains! Do something for yourself for a change--like twisting the elements to your will. All that's standing in your way are a few secret societies...and Champions of the four elements.
Went steampunk here. Dr. Hofenfeferer is currently found redside with her flintlocks and traps.
Be well, people of CoH.
This was my golden opportunity to recreate my Mutant Chronicles Brotherhood character in CoH... black trench, shades, medieval cross, BLAZING white Energy Manipulation...
And voila, "Revisor" was born! THE INQUISITION HAS ARRIVED!

As per my style of ripoff creating original content, my Dual Pistoleer is a cross between Mass Effect's Tali'Zora and our very own Positron, with a look that's largely inspired by Torchlight's Vanquisher, who herself had a look inspired by Warcraft's Muradin and his dwarves. I made a couple of posters of her back in Beta and I'll be damned if I don't plug them in at every opportunity I get.

I decided to go with a DP/Cold Corruptor who is a witch whose guns shoot bullets made from the frozen blood of her enemies.

Never made a catgirl. Or a bunnygirl, either, for that matter. But the concept that hit me inna flash was so perfect, I just had to...
Humanoid pink bunnygirl in a green dress (first time I've ever used the puffy sleeves or the baggy socks, or, well, the bunny ears and tail). And I named her...
...wait for it...
...Hare-Trigger
Okay, knock off the groaning!

The short time I was in the beta, it seemed that everyone was either wearing trench coats, "Family" style gangster suits or some military get-up. There were some excellent costumes done in those veins but those ideas seemed the most common.
I'm waiting on the retail box with the goodies and free month but I already have my blaster picked out, costume ready and name saved. Come GR, villains in Paragon City will get some retro Blaxploitation justice from Afrodyte:
That costume is awesome.
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
I haven't read this entire thread (yet) but I saw someone who made a very cool golden-armored winged angel with guns. It was very awesome!
