To briefly draw upon my Boston accent:

That would be Wicked!

Can you see it now: A Western themed zone in the style of Bonanza or
even better.. West World? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_world)

Mine is a bit out there... Combining a Kung Fu idea with DP. Picture a martial artist in full robes, totally blind (chain & cloth covering his eyes) weilding a pair of revolvers (JAY... We NEED .45 Peacemakers dangit!!!)- name? The Six Gun Seer.

That's awkward...

As far as Western-styled chars, I've found that the jacket from the magic power pack is a pretty good stand-in for a Western-styled duster.

I went for the fancy one in this pic, but the plain works just as well, or even better.

Seeing a bunch of Neo clones was my biggest fear about dual pistols going live. However was very surprised with the variety that players have come up with. Cowboys seem to be the #1 theme that I saw most during my play time. For me, costume styles I went with something that was a mix of the Phantom and DC comic's Vigilante.

BackAlleyBrawler: I can't facepalm this post hard enough.
ShoNuff: If sophisticated = bro-mantically emo-tastic, then I'm going to keep to my Shonen loving simplicity dammit.

I had actually intended to make a Spirit-styled char. The western theme just sort of popped out on its own. I do also have a red-side who is more of a silver age vigilante. Maybe he'll start out bad and redeem himself come June.

Dude, I once had a kitty named Velcro. This is epic.

you know, despite my intention to go with a cowboy/desperado type character, i wound up going steampunk too, after listening to "airship pirates" a bit too many times. so i went with a steampunk pirate named "alerunner abney". , he has a hook for a hand, because i love the absurdity of that working here. and yes, his name is call-out for abney park, who got me to make him in the first place, but i kept his guns modern, because i loved the colored beams on the compensators.

I do actually have a Neo clone, but I've had him for years now. And the whole point of the character is that he's a deluded idiot who thinks he's The One (actually he's an out-of-work actor who shorted out his brain trying to follow the plot of a particularly tricky film script). And thus Johnny Moronic was born (Thugs/Traps MM).

A Garfield comic already made that pun.

A couple notes:
  1. Was this before or after '91? (the last time I paid any attention to Garfield)
  2. A good pun is a good pun no matter how old it is.
  3. <arrogant swagger> My Sam is so wild and untamed (albeit housebroken ) that he - and by extension his creator - make this joke look fresh and hot. </arrogant swagger>
  4. Camp is best when it's played perfectly straight. And this is pure camp.
