The most overused and underused characters in CoX lore

I think they should remake the Tunnels as a Faultline-style network under the Hollows, rather than keep it as a separate zone.

I think Nemesis would have a much greater effect if either he was used much less OR if we got to see all his machinations culminate into something.

Horus should be a TF contact in PI. His Task Force should have something to do with The Center, and whoever it was that turned Romulus into a Nictus in the ITF.

Not true. I once used it for grinding out some defeat badges (troll bosses and Igneous?). So... yeah. There.

Ooh, are there Iggy bosses in the Tunnels? I never knew that - I thought it was Trolls only?

I would love to see this. An arc where each mission was an "OH! So that's why he did that back 10 levels ago!" culminating into some grand scheme where even his previous "failures" had propeled him closer to victory which you had to try and stop... ending with a feeling that even that was only part of some greater plan which you just bumped him closer to fulfilling.

Don't quote me. I know there's Igneous in there with the trolls but I won't promise on the bosses.

My experience while working on the Volcanic badge was that Igneous bosses don't spawn there. On fact with the way Hollows spawns work I found it almost impossible to get the badge without a four+ person team (the other people don't need to be in zone but you need to be on a team to get them to spawn).

Other than the OP, I’m actually surprised that nobody else has mentioned how Snaptooth is used in EVERY holiday event. I’d have to consider that as overused. C’mon dev’s can we get something else instead of Snaptooth for our next holiday event? Something….anything!!!! Please???

It would be kinda hard for Horus to do that....

Or make it a part of the sewers using the broken wall transitions we have now.

For that matter, we need regular sewer content. Something you can stumble upon while hunting that turns into an arc of some kind, eventually leading you to information about the Abandoned sewer network and what is down there.

Heck, we've been in Arachnos cells. They're not exactly what I'd call terribly secure.

Yeah...where the frock is Apex? I really enjoyed those original run comics...and I dug that character. He had skillz...a family story (his sis was hired by Crey...if I remember correctly)...and a pleasant sense of humor. I'd love to see him appear in-game. I really dug his "Level 15 scrapper lft" to end the run...

I'm guessing Praetorian Police cells will also be equally open

EDIT: Although, Tyrant does manage to hold Statesman in the current Praetorian arc - plus, the superpowered people who are killed off wouldn't be gunned down in the street, so they'd have to be held somewhere too - so maybe Paretorian prison tech is more advanced?

In fact, that could make for a wacky mirror universe mission - you could get captured, and have to be freed by Resistance NPCs

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the CoTs. One of the most overused villain groups on both sides.

They might not be seen as overused now since people avoid them as a matter of habit.

"Overused" and "commonly occurring" are separated by a fine line made up more of opinion than fact, in this case I think. They're a group that has a big handle on everything magicy in the CoX world (not to mention a history going back to Atlantis and so on), so it would make sense to run across them a lot.

I'd like to see more Heroside about the Legacy Chain... they have some great potential for GOING ROGUE, too (we're on the side of Light, but we'll MASSACRE you if we think you're abusing magic).

Nemesis - overused.
Longbow - overused.

I'd love to see more of the Coralax, as well, and yes, bringing in Apex would rock. I'm sorry, there's something about seeing a hero who was actually willing to CRY that really just made him likable.

More about Weaver-1 would be great, and damn it all, we NEED an Ouroboros arc about Red Widow.

Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

Well, the idea is that the Skulls and Hellions ARE real villains that the PPD cannot keep up with anymore, so a hero like you, even a fledgling one, needs to step up to the task.

Of course, eventually the PPD got SWAT teams, psychics, combat armors, combat robots and even a dedicated Peacebringer squad, so that comment doesn't really ring true anymore.

Ah, but they don't get those things until a much higher level than the Skulls and Hellions get to. It's possible that the Low level PPD, while being better than they used to be, still wouldn't survive large battles with those groups.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

Well, people may mock Azuria for losing stuff to thieves and various other issues but at least she has them under lock and key. The CoT apparently have revolving doors on all of their mystical fortresses.

3. Azuria - Never trust her to safely keep anything. She'll remorsefully tell you that some villain group ran off with that precious trinket you spent recovering in torturous Oranbega. At least she'll take the fall even though the Magi vault is in Galaxy City.
I want to address this.

Azuria sends the artifacts you deliver to her to the M.A.G.I. Vault in Galaxy City. There, Gregor Richardson must have been asleep at his job. Azuria is GRACIOUSLY taking the brunt of your ire by politely omitting his lack of diligence, and she suffers the reputation of being a ditz by the populace.

Nice. Real nice.
