I do like these things.

Television world. That is all.

Basically the whole gist of me getting university is that I need to prove to the guys who run the course that I have a passion for games and would be willing to stay the course. They are clamping down on the number of people that they admit and I need to show that I am one of them.

To do so they suggesting getting back into modding, this was something that I did a bit of on Jedi Knight 2, reskinning models and such (I unfortunately have lost all of the work I did so that's out of the window for showing them, not that I'd want to as they were pretty terrible, heh). I need to know if that is viable for this game. I could choose any number of other games but I'd rather work on a game that I love through and through and this would be that game. I've seen pictures where people have applied the male muscle texture to women and such and I need to know if it's possible (or even allowed) to be done.

I was thinking of starting of small just doing new body patterns and what not. Any help that anyone can give or advice would go a long way.

I'll also be doing some concept drawings of revamped enemy groups and character redesigns, I don't have any at the moment and even if I did I couldn't show them as I broke my scanner and looking at getting a new one. I've got a lot of ideas, 2 of my favourite villain groups in particular. I've also got ideas for level designs and a task force in mind as they like that sort of stuff, where I show an interest and knowledge of things like level flow.

Also if anyone has any experience with this sort of course then I'd like any advice for what would really impress the tutors, I want to blow their socks off as doing this sort of thing for a living is my dream and I need to make it happen.

I seriously dig this idea. Completely. Maybe its because it has a whiff of the whole Onslaught story from X-Men (and that was one of the first stories I got into when I started collecting comics)

It sort of justifies the Well's choice of who to empower as well, why didn't it choose Reichsman instead right? It's not like Tyrant is the only dimensional doppelganger of States to try taking over our dimension.

This may seem a little thread necromatic, but anyways...

I was just looking at some screenshots of how the game used to look and noticed a few things that aren't in anymore:

The pattern of the blue/yellow guy. The upper looks like the Diablo pattern while the lower looks like Sharp but with a white border....I totally need that white border, it doesn't have to be customisable, it can just stay white. Think it's on the gloves too. It's pretty neat.


This guy's shoulder pads, they aren't great lookin' but hey, the more the merrier.


Then theres whatever this thing this guy is wearing, some sort of mantle piece? He also seems to have the sleek shine thing goin' on on his face.


The dude in the yellow has some crazy chest pattern that I don't recognise.

Could the memory we see from our supposed future self be faked? I mean, if Ramiel is the letter writer then he has Protean at his disposal too so that could in fact be Protean we see dishing the damage and what not.

Also the Silos of Faathims dimension....Darrin Wade perhaps? Not sure why I think that but hey I am hella sleep deprived right now.

Nah, I maintain its the Reflections aura, especially seeing how Rommy seems to have it too, it's hard to see due to his purpleness but it is there. It also doesn't have the lines revolving around them for it to be Unyielding.

Anyhow, if they are Reflections: does this mean Uuralur is involved? In which case, about time. I thought he'd of made an appearance shortly after the whole Doppleganger thingymajig.

This 'Invulnerability Aura' that y'all are on about looks a bit more like the Reflection aura thing the Rularuu folks be havin'.

Would I be able to retract my earlier attempt in favour of one that I prefer?

I scrapped my earlier submission, in favour of this one.

I'm genuinely not fond of Apex's costume. So I took a stab at it myself.



I wanted to keep it as close to his original look as possible but made some adjustments. Obviously theres the Vanguard thing, but obviously with the pattern he has in the comic on it.

I also have a 3 colour rule when it comes to certain costumes, I find it hard to pull of good looking costumes that use only 2 colours and thus I threw Grey and Black in the mix, the bandolier as red is somewhat unsightly to me.

Of course if I could as well I'd throw in his sword on his back but alas, I cannot.

I may have another go at this, you could argue that it isn't obvious he's a member of Vanguard from that costume, so may try it out with the boots and gloves later.

Just my 2 cents.

If the Joker could of been cured, he would of been (God knows you have enough brain boxes in the DCU), it just ain't gonna happen.

Well that's the true sign of a hero now isn't it? If you let them live but they escape you keep on top of the situation and make sure they can't kill again. No hero would 'let' a villain kill, hence being a villain is so much easier, its the whole light side/dark side of the force thing. Dark is quick and easy, light....no so much.

I'd totally roll a Fire/Dark 'troller. Would look fairly cool methinks.

Whilst I was at first saddened by the news of not having a box to go along with the expansion, I don't really mind so much now. So long as I get to play the thing I'm happy, I just can't make sense of the post and what edition I'll need to buy to make sure I get all the costume pieces and what not. Would be groovy to get a box though to add to my pile of CoH related stuff.

Heh, nice to see the Rangers are still in the top 50....

Tired? Of this brilliant game? I think not. Though I'd say its more down to the brilliant community that I don't tired of this game.
