Other Alternate Dimensional Versions...

So, just for fun, let's comes up with odd or interesting ideas of Canon characters in alternate dimensions. Praetoria and Axis America give us two possibilities of the Destinies of Marcus Cole, but what are some other possibilities? Or possible alternate versions of other characters, there or in other worlds?

for example, I imagine that in Praetoria Imad Malak, or Scirocco as we know him by, is a die hard member of the Resistance, possibly one who strides a thin line between Crusader and Warden, desiring the best for the people, but understanding how war works against men like Cole and that sacrifices much be made.
Rather than being tortured from without by a curse of villainy, he's cursed from within of doing the right through bloody means.

An alternative world where not all of the Freedom Phalanx turned evil would be quite interesting - Praetoria seems to have been the "perfect storm" of evil versions, where the entire Phalanx became monsters - but in a world where, say, Positron was the only one who became evil, it'd be interesting to see what kind of tech he invented and used to create his evil armies to try and defeat Statesman - or a world where an evil Citadel tried to take it over with robots and cyborgs.

If I must...

* Fast Food Dimension: Where all the heroes and villains are actually greasy food items. Positron didn't set well at all. Captain Mako came with a side of tartar sauce. As for Synapse... well... I've NEVER had food go through me so fast.

* Reset Button Dimension: Where respecs are free, plentiful and can even change Archetype and powersets. No origin story is safe. Nothing... and I mean NOTHING... is canon... You can keep reusing the same heroes and villains but in completely different, unrelated situations over and over again! Come to think of it... I believe the Marvel Universe is set here.

* Oooops Dimension: "Yeah... We're the Globulinten alien race from Epsilon Red over in the Omega quadrant? Umm... we were travelling through your galaxy about trillion or so years ago and Bob here had to use the can. We landed on your planet and bigfoot Bob stepped on this little fish-thing that was crawling up the beach. So... no humans... you have something to say for yourself, Bob?" Bob: "Yeah... my bad."

* Rikti Dimension: Lost: mutating into monsters. Monsters: pink and short. Human ships: invading sporadically. Invasion correlation: after runs on downed ship in human war zone.

* Steelclaw Dimension: It was a pretty cool place to be... right up until the moment Portal Corps made the first portal... then everyone on the planet moved out. The last pilgrim leaving the world reported their former-leader's last words to be "Was it something I said?"

-An alternate timeline where Statesman lead Omega Team and Hero 1 was the one who stayed on Primal Earth.

The Freedom Phalanx would likely have broken up, with Positron maybe forming a new team.
Maybe Tyrant would have reacted differently if Hero 1 was who he encountered instead of a funhouse mirror version of himself.
Recluse, freed of his obsession, starts making some real gains toward his plans.

-Anime Earth.

Just because some players already treat Primal Earth as such. I swear there are more Japanese living in Paragon City than are in Japan if you go by people's bios alone.

-The world from the old Freedom Phalanx cartoon.

Statesman and the 1960's lineup of the Phalanx had their own cheesy animated series with a lot of camp and exaggeration. This is cannon. Positron grew up watching and idolizing that version of Statesman.

-The "classic" Praetoria. Pre-retcon.

Where instead of being Lawful Evil and having a pretty little city in the sunshine belt to lord over, the Phalanx were Chaotic Evil, Axe Crazy and ruling over the smashed ruins of Paragon City and the dregs that managed to survive there.

Back when I was making and trying to make CoH comics, I had some vague, conceptual plans for a one-off called Beyond That Doorway..., an homage to Marvel's What If ...? It was to have been "hosted" by Tina McIntyre, just as Marvel's series was "hosted" by the Watcher, and "... Statesman led Omega Team while Hero 1 led Alpha Team" was to be the story I produced. Never got around to it, though.

An alternate earth where Coralax have conquered the World & the last few remaining humans live either as slaves or as primitive scavengers (ala Planet of the Apes).

How about an alternate dimensions that methodically goes about devouring all other alternate dimensions, starting with Praetoria? Then just as it's trying to decide whether to have the Rikti homeworld and Primal Earth sauteed or charbroiled, some enterprising vigilantes trick it into the Shadow Shard, where it gets eaten by Rularuu.

Although I would settle for an alternate dimension that's a lot nicer than ours, with the two big differences being that the Well of Furies doesn't exist/hasn't ever reached it and super powers come from science/magic/technology/mutation/being totally badass, and Marcus Cole was never born.

Best. Dimensions. Ever.

So, now that I'm actually fully conscious when I post in this thread, I guess I could add a few more:

Shattered Time Shard(s): An alternate universe where Dr. Aeon became a humble family man and inventor. A tragic accident resulted in the death of his wife and children making Dr. Aeon vow to master time manipulation to undo that unfortunate accident which also left him horribly disfigured. He also inexplicably speaks French and is creepy as hell.

I like alternate stories in comics, especially DC. I read that after 52 they where planing on doing a monthly comic featuring each of the "newly" 52 universes, but guess that fell through.

A alternate gender universe would be cool, though about ding a AE arc with that in mind, but I'm not the most creative writer.

* Ew Hairball Dimension - Marcus and Stephan, due to typographical error, drink from the Well of the Furries and suddenly everyone in the world is some kind of human-animal hybrid. Mynx is out of the hero racket, but is able to make a name for herself during the change as a Transition Counsellor.

* Limbo Dimension - Everyone is actually undead here, existing in a state of undeath until exorcised. The only exception to this being Warm Widow; whose strange medical condition (heart beating, breathing, generating body temperature) has the morticians of that world flummoxed.

* Last Dimension Ever Made - The Last Dimension ever to be brought into existence by the Great Creator. They led a very happy, varied and prosperous life right up until the other dimensions found out about them. Since it was verifiable that they came last; they were threatened with an infinite number of law suits for Copyright and Intellectual Property infractions. Today every inhabitant of this dimension has the first name of Generic and a number for a last name.

As an aside I once played a Dungeons and Dragons campaign where all the monsters were made out of food. There were Gummy Were-Bears, Dough-plegangers and the like. The boss creature of the whole thing was made entirely of meat sewn together and animated; he had a squid for a head. His name...? The Mind Filet-er.

I'd like to see some alternate forms of Stefan Richter. We've seen... four?... different versions of Marcus Cole, now. Good or evil, I'd like to see some alternate paths for Lord Recluse.
