Sure, although as has been pointed out the people who know what they're doing already know about this and those that question it, merely reinforce their ignorance. Hence my suggestion to those so immediately dismissive to refrain from expressing it, if only to protect their own reputations.

As it is, I check of posting histories shows that my efforts as such were woefully late and thus I apologize to all concerned.

So, what your saying is that Ares needs the CoH version of Enzyte?

True, just pointing out the obvious. Forum posts, especially ones that the devs watch is a great way of getting things shut down.

I'd actually like to see them nerf it and watch the prices fly through the roof. The forum thread would be priceless.

LOL, if not for only the implosion of the market, I would also like to see them nerf it.

Since we are nerfin stuff and the devs are paying attention, id like to see Dual Blades get nerfed, so that way no one even thinks "hmm, im gonna make this work in pvp" and lvls it to 50...

But in a battleground, beating objectives is a huge part of the reward generation, and in arenas, rewards are purely a function of playing 10 games and then your rating.)
look at that, a pve-er that knows what he's talking about.
+20 points for not being dumb.

Inflation is rampant. Things going for more than the market cap is obviously a problem, considering the market cap is supposed to be the individual wealth cap. Obviously, something is quite horribly broken there.
I agree something is 'horribly broken'.

I would submit these reasons why this 'horribly broken' situation exists. One, the pvp revamp was TERRIBLE, thereby reducing player interest, and the drop rate is RIDICULOUSLY low, thereby destroying most interest that dynamic might have created for pvp.

With that, Plasma moves into 4th place on the league rankings.

Personally I don't bother with PvP IOs since I'm bad anyway.

[QUOTE=Castle;2628030]I'd like to take this opportunity to remind folks that this system is purposefully difficult to farm. Your BEST chance of getting a PVP IO drop is to have 10+ players fighting one another; either in zones or in arenas.

So what's our chance of you admitting that PvP changes have blown chunks for 3 issues?

Since many PvP'ers bolted from the draconian changes that came, totally contrary to "PvPEC" wishlists, and with no input from those who PvP'd before your 'highly experienced' changes...

Bluntly, since you're worried about PvP "farming" how can you accept "Farming" for both hero and vills, but still be happy with the largely unpopular changes to PvP?

Seriously the Dev's work has largely spoken (albeit more than poorly - did you get lessons on 'Listening Empathetically' from George III or Lord North?) of their distaste and disinterest in learning or listening to those knowledgeable on the topic....

Asking these Dev's for help on PvP is like asking a serial killer for another bag of plasma.

'Nuff Said.

Lets be honest here, With the current drop rate system in place only those who already had influence are effectively getting drops. (Reason) Those who had influence are mostly those who use to farm, so those farmers were getting most of the unique (purple) recipes when they came out. so most of them had powerful buillt toons when the pvp recipes came out. So who do you think was getting most of the kills and therefor the pvp recipes? The farmers! So then you cut down the drop rate. But by the time you do that the farmers have already accumulated pvp and purple recipes in essence making their toons even that much more powerful. So who do you think is still getting the majority of the kills in pvp? The farmers! you have secured them as farmers in your attempt to stop them. Now players who don't have the influence to purchase purples or pvp recipes are only targets for the farmers to get more pvp recipes. I have ways of fixing this, unlike the suggestions here but I don't would be interested in hearing them because you seem to think that the system you have in place is doing it's job. WTF!

Some really do need a scapegoat to blame for failure.

I got what he was trying to say, but his premise is off b/c he seems to think that its difficult to make money hence difficult to get drops.

1) play the game and dont AE so much; lv50 =s good money
2) sell your drops from playing the game and work the markets
3) rinse and repeat
4) go work up a toon for PvP and/or farming
5) have fun
6) see step 1

All the "farmers" that he is talking about started off playing the game just like anyone else AND probably had wackya$$ 1st posts too.
Get out of your foxhole and load another magazine; you dont get drops drinking and writing in threads.

I like not having to muster up 10 - 40 people just to get gear (enhancements) And I'm glad that you've made things in our current raids tradeable. Well the hami-os atleast. Its great that in coh I can use my earned inf to buy anything ingame that I want or trade for it and it needs to stay that way. As "no trade", "bind on pickup", "soul bound" crap would just ruin this game for alot of people.
Truth be told this is how I felt when IO's were introduced in the first place.

I miss the old days of SO's and Hamis and thats it. The days where knowing how to play your toon meant more than how much you paid for your toon.

I keep returning to this game but each time it takes less and less time for me to burn out and head off to try something new, or old depending on what is available. Currently I am having a great deal of fun playing through content, mainly because I moved to virtue and have found far less speed runners there. I know this can only last so long though. Ive also had alot of fun with various characters that I self pld up to 22 because quite frankly the first 20 levels are downright painfull when you have done them as often as some of us have. I dont really want to look at another toon pre stamina heh.

These days most of my toons have red recepie and salvage trays. I cant even be bothered with running to the market to sell anymore unless im waiting for someone to alt. The simple fact is there is no content in this game that requires IO's other than pvp. If pvp didnt suck so bad there might be reason to worry about IO's but sadly PvP consists of one of two things. How much you paid for your toon's enhancments and do you outnumber your opponent.

Nonsense. Having expensive IOs doesn't mean you're a good player, it means you've got expensive IOs. Failboat players with purpled out builds are all over the place.

The only correlation is that good players often have expensive IOs because they can leverage their skill to get the shiny stuff more easily/quicker than other players.

Maybe it was a fluke or someone tinkered with the drop rate yesterday but between a buddy of mine and I on our Stalkers he picked up 4x PvP drops (one of em' was a Shield Wall: +RES) and I got 1x in a 1.5h period in RV on Freedom. I got 2x more an hour after he logged solo so it was pretty amazing day considering I got 1x drop within the last month of daily zone PvP and 8v8 practice throughout the week.

the RNG in this game is retarded glitchy when it comes to drops.

For more serious business...

Who here will be farming PvP IOs once all accounts become active March 4th?

You know... just asking.
