Merged markets are probably what will happen next, as that's the last "big" thing that people want that they haven't already gotten.

Ahem. Aren't you forgetting DINO RIDERS?!?!

My name is Random, and I'm an alt-aholic.
Main / Badger: Flamesprite - Fire/Fire Blaster - Triumph

Way too many alts on Triumph, Virtue, Protector, Champion, and Exalted.

I'd like the game to follow comic book mores rather than MMO ones.

What comic elements are missing? I mean besides FREEM!

They should TOTALLY implement visual sounds as an option that you can turn on or off. That would be AWESOME.

As visable only to yourself, not your teammates. If I decide that I don't want to see {BIFF!} and {Kablooie!!} as the effects of my powers, and I turn it off, then I would not want to see it as the results of my teammates.

I'd like to see some NPC only costume pieces available for player use.

The PPD Hardsuit pieces would be so useful..

I've always thought this would be a MOST awesome game. You could "outfit" your characters ala Star Trek by giving them guns/gear that fit the era. I'm sure it would be a MAJOR coding headache but would be SO cool to "jump" into different eras and equip clothing and weapons relative to it.

....just saying

Somethings I like to see

I would like to see weather effects. Rain, snow, cloudy days, things like this. I think this would give more life into Paragon City.

Interactive environments. Like if you take a full blast to the chest and it throws you into a car. I think it would be great if a dent showed up on the car, throwing a Hellion thug through a glass window, or picking up a car and dropping on top of a Malta Sapper.

weather would be really good. it'd be a lot more fun hunting thugs in Kings Row if it was a "dark and stormy night". Maybe with Ultra Mode?

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

This idea actually came from one of those "Stupid Teammate" threads. The OP said something like, "He did something so stupid I wanted to strangle him..." We've all been there, right? So that's what I want:

"Strangle Teammate" as a Veteran Award

WM/EA Brute: Because you can't have too much Strong and Pretty!
Fire Blaster: Because you shouldn't have to walk over there to set someone on fire.
Tanker: SOMEBODY has to soak up all this aggro I'm generating
Scrapper: The other meat shield

That's why they made the Enforcer set, the Hardsuit wouldn't fit on players.

I have my doubts about that (although I'd love to be proven wrong). The information released on side switching for Going Rogue included the extremely strong implication that they will not be merging the markets with Going Rogue (since they specifically stated that Vigilante's and Rogue's will have to use their side's market and won't get access to the other side's until they do the full switch). Under the circumstances if they're planning to merge the markets in the foreseeable future Going Rogue would seem to me the logical time to do it so if they aren't doing it then I don't think that they're planning to do it at all.

More specifically, there seem to be serious problems with shoulder pieces that encircle the neck and come back behind the head. Jay talked about this (vaguely) but if you look at all the pieces we "just can't have," you'll notice a lot of them share this feature, while none of the ones we have do. I suspect with the advent of back details (sooner or later) we might be able to fudge that, but I highly doubt we'd get a full-torso shell any time soon.

Your suggestions fall solidly in the "too awesome to use" category: once every 50,000 or so mob defeats, you get a one-use "I win" power. I'd go the other direction: a greater variety and frequency of crafted powers. They'd drop often enough that when you use one up, you can count on getting another soon. They'd also be powerful enough to be worth using: attacks that can one-shot a minion or put a solid dent in a boss, armor that gives five minutes of near-immunity to one damage type, and the like.

That sounds pretty absurd in the other direction. Near-immunity to a damage type, and they drop so often that everyone should pretty much always have one?

Personally, I've always wanted to see something of a "pool" implementation of temporary powers, where you can have a few, say three or four powers, that you can store with unlimited charges and even give them a few slots (say 6-8 between them) and use like regular powers, sort of. You can always swap them by Inventing another temporary power and overwriting the old one, but the powers you DO keep would be usable a lot like your character's own.

Making it a veteran reward would be rather silly, since paid game time or an Ebayed account are no guarantee of common sense, and veterans are all too capable of strangleworthy behavior, including groupthink, having a sense of entitlement, a refusal to do things any way other than the one they are most familiar with. All of which, to me, deserve pointing and laughing at more than merely being bad at playing a game. Let's have equal-opportunity mockery, please.
