Ddin't think about it Texas Justice, but it is quite a simple fix to add the English forums to your favorites. Thanks.
I'm curious to see if I can browse these forums from my phone like I could from the old ones. I'll have to look into that.
Other than that, it looks alright. I was really used to the old ones, so it's going to take a bit of adjustment.

Those. Also, there's no language filter, meaning if someone accidently posts a French or German thread in the English sections (or the other way around) it'll show up in searches anyway. I know VB can do it, but it's not implimented. Also, having to click "English" is annoying. I'd like an option in the User CP to specifically default everything to English (or a list of languages I speak) and only show results within them.
between that and the stuff I quoted, I can't say I'm entirely thrilled with the new boards. It's nicer than the old ones, but that's like saying MMOs are nicer than MUDs...

Put me down for the elimination of graphic signatures, or an option to disable them and only them. The vast majority of them are obnoxious at best.
Not happy about the shared login situation either.
Other than that, looks good so far.

Its all rather swish looking but given I'm unable to login properly on my preffered web browser (Firefox - it just continually needs me logging in) and having to type this in IE8 on my new Vista system, the forums so far get a thumbs down for me.
From what I've seen so far, the forums looks pretty good. Nothing serious to complain about yet.

It's interesting that the old log in names are different. Is the use of User Names to make logging in more streamlined so we wouldn't have to remember an extra layer of names/passwords?
I too think that the forum password being the same as the game password is bad, is there a way to change it? I don't want them to be the same thing.
Beside that, the new forums look good.
No way to do that, the "change password" link just tells you to go to your game account control panel.
Sucks and I wish there were an option to make them separate.

I thank your effort and it's a shame whoever designed this migration didn't put half as much effort into planning it.
I have zero intention of wasting my time redoing information which I'd already collected; especially as the fact the links no longer work is not my fault. I'll keep the stuff which does not link to this forum but anything on here can go. Really they should have just wiped the whole board rather than do this half-baked job.

I think ther may be a slight bug with the forums login, as you can access it through both uk.cityofheroes and cityofheroes it seems the forum will only log you on from the american version whilst you get looped trying to log on in the uk version, has anyone else noticed this?
It sounds very similar to the problems people are having with boards.cityofvillains.com and boards.coh.com
I'd guess that it's a temporary thing that they'll be ironing out in the next several days/weeks along with some other forums issues. They were rushing to get the boards.cityofheroes.com site up and running and likely didn't get to finish troubleshooting problems with the other named sites. Or, they'll be doing away with all of those other site names and just using the boards.cityofheroes.com address. I'm sure they'll let us know Soon™

You may be using the boards.cityofvillains.com portal, which isn't allowing logins to stick.
Use the boards.cityofheroes.com portal. Change the skin to villains. Click on English. Bookmark that page.

After 5 years, I'm used to the old forums and miss them already. I liked being able to view all my subcategories at one glance, more quickly selecting between stuff like Dev Digest or Comic/Hero Culture. I may get used to these new forums in time, but I don't like the change.
hmm. might take a bit of getting used to. certainly looks very nice. but logging in was a bit too much of a chore, and the forgotten password link just sends you to support pages instead of sending any kind of automated password verification or what have you. i'd prefer that option.
will have to hope it remembers me, but really, so long as it works more than the old ones and lets me post, it should be good. also, welcome colonials!
@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.
